While some online historical clothing outfits appear to have huge assortment, they may not be actually stocked. At best you get a single small view of an item whereas at the Emporium items are often pictured from every angle and close up of the fabric sometimes. It's like going from a dark warehouse to a brightly lit place. The reputation being built up here is supported mostly great personal service with just the occasional snooty grump but that's rare.
