I upgraded all the buttons to brass. The plastic bone buttons don't really stand out enough and leave the final product too bland as is, in my opinion. The belt buckle will be awhile to find an adequate replacement. Good quality coat overall textile wise.

I have two blouses, the white one and the candy stripe. I will be wearing the white one soon, but the candy stripe made a smashing hit at work with my long red skirt and black shash. The white one will be worn with the same skirt but this time with the mob hat for Mrs. Santa claus....tis the season.

I love it, infact, I love it so much I've ordered several more in different colors. Others are asking where I got mine, I let them know. I have only been wearing one for the re-enactments, but will now be wearing them to work all the time instead of the modern hairnet--ugh.

This product is pretty neat. I like the fact that it pulls out into a longer telescope but also it is hard trying to figure out how to focus it. to me figuring it out was half the fun.

This watch is lovely, has a nice weight to it and works very well.Just be warned--the back does not have the medallion pattern on it, instead there are flowers and swirls. Still pretty, just not what I was expecting.

This is a quality made garment that resembles the real garment worn in the victorian era.

When you think of pants from the Victorian Era these are the pants your thinking about. Super black and not shinny in the least (a must for picture taking) You can go from Mountebank to Bruiser, Railway worker to Dapper Dan, and Typesetter to Mayor at your favorite Dickens fair, or steampunk Convention, with ease.So comfortable I just wear them to go out at night, or out to buy a gallon of milk.As I am a Tattoo Artist/ Illusionist (Inkllusionist if you please) I find that working for hours a day, and performing in these pants is easy as can be.I can tattoo for 6 hours, and still get out of a straight jacket in under 45 seconds.If there is any words of warring when buying these types of pants they are on the every page that Gentleman's Emporium has: Follow the size chart, these are not the jeans you buy at the mall, (there were no malls when these pant were invented nor hip hop or wearing your pants with your underwear showing) They do not wear off your hips!!! Secondly buy suspenders... There are no belt loops and you will look like a fool trying to pull your pants up every ten seconds.

The black on black pattern is subtle in its look but smart in is approach. I have always been of the mind that tie is an accent and it is the man that should be looked at, not a garish piece of cloth tied around his neck in such an over done pattern that it is screaming for the attention. While you might not get complemented on your tie with this one, it will have the wonderful power of bringing your entire outfit together so that the complements land on you, and not just your tie.Well built and made of polyester this Ascot will most likely out live you.

The frock coat is part of the Holy Trinity of the mens victorian garb; Frock Coat, Waist Coat, Top Hat. (in my case bowler but you get the point)As a traveling Tattoo Artist/ Stage Magician with a steampunk persona I have very limited room in the wardrobe and a smartly cut, well built coat that goes equally well with every outfit I might use on a weekend this one was simply a must. A few brass gear pins added and it became properly done steampunk. Made of firm enough wool to with stand the props needed to be used for magic, this coat moves seamlessly from the Aeronaut persona of the day to the more earth bound man of stage in the evening without having to change my full wardrobe.As a magician I am used to having to have my coats custom made at about 3 to 5 times the cost of this coat. As this coat is well made, but lightweight I have had no problems performing in it.

As an American Civil War reenactor, I occasionally dress civilian for non military living history demonstrations. I also like looking my best at Easter, Christmas, weddings, even funerals. The Bowler hat is made well, but it is definately made for costume wear and not daily wear. It is much more stiff than I imagined, so I will have to figure out how to relax the fit. The size was correct, but the shape was more round than the oblong head shape, so I am working on reshaping it. For the price, it's a good buy, and I would easily tell folks from where it was purchased. Plus the promptness of the purchase was outstanding.

The zippers on these boots are of very poor quality. One broke before I could even put the shoe on. I had to take it to a tailor to get a rush repair done. Other than the terrible zippers, the boots are fine. You get what you pay for.

This is a fine and practical garment that will complete any late -Victorian look . While resembling the Inverness cape of Sherlock Holmes fame it is loose enough to fit over a frock coat and provides an extra touch of winter warmth . I bought several pair of these for a professional musical production, had them dance rubbered since their soles are very slick, and they are wearing well. The dancers are quite pleased with them and have told me that they are very comfortable to move in. They perform in them for 8 performances per week for 8 weeks, so they'll get quite a grueling workout. So far, so good.

I purchased The Big Daddy gun for my boyfriends birthday and at first I was worried it wouldn't be good quality. Boy, was I wrong! The gun looks and feels exactly like metal and it has some nice weight to it, which gives it an even more gun like feel. The details on the gun are superb. The level of attention that was put into the gun is amazing. I was very excited when this gun arrived. It came in a wonderful detailed box and it also came with a letter from the creator. This is such a beautiful piece. You can use it for anything from classical re-enactments to something like the Vampire Diaries to recapture an 1864 era.

These goggles were bought as part of a Plague Doctor outfit for Halloween. I was looking for something that was sort of not-too-labcoat and not-too-WorldWar, and these were perfect. The one issue is they have no ventilation, but a drill fixes that. I'll likely buy a second pair just to wear in my Miata. :PConstruction-wise, very durable, though I didn't like the rubber head band, and replaces it with an elastic band (very easy). The lenses themselves are held in by a sort of spring-steel construct that holds them in with three little claws. The whole spring steel assembly is the same that forms the bridge. It's thin and floppy, but it's spring steel, and it's not going anywhere.

Wonderful vest and even better for this price. The texture of the front fabric is irresistible to touch and the vest is warm without being stifling. Buttons are stock: I was able to easily replace them with filigree gold/black ones and it makes the vest.

The quality of this Derby is phenomenal! Beautiful rich brown felt: very sturdy. Don't be fooled by cheap costume hats elsewhere---this is a real hat, not a prop. The stitching, the lining, the band are all very detailed and fine. Accurate sizing, too. The only problem I had was in shipping, which is the USPS's fault. I had to return the first one because the dome had been crushed; the second box looked worse but the hat was fine. I've ordered the Coachman hat without any packaging problem, so I don't blame the H.E. Treat yourself and order this hat!

These are somewhat snug and appropriately highwaisted. They are a great foundation for a gentleman adventurer's wardrobe. I wish they came in ladies sizes for the steampunk crowd!

This tailcoat runs rather small, but is very well made and looks good on just about anyone. I highly recommend it. The only change I would make is on the cuffs - they should have buttons matching the rest of the coat.

I love these gloves. Comfortable and attractive. I wish they came in brown too. Probably getting an extra pair so I can have one with silver buttons and one with my own brass steampunk buttons.

This is a great skirt. I love the color and the fabric. It's full enough to work as a steampunk skirt, but doesn't require any hoops.

The fit on these is very large. I ordered what I thought might be snug - they were literally falling off. The stiffness of the fabric and the volume was too much for me as well.

This is a nice item. There is a fair bit of flex in the fit, the material, including fasteners is excellent. It dresses up any of the skirts well. (As a steampunker, I may refit the buttons to brass, but they are nice.)

I have problems buying shirts and blouses that fit properly, as I'm a bit big up top, but this blouse fit wonderfully. The material is so soft on my skin I hated to take it off at the end of the day.

Although I have many of the vests HE sells, this one was a little bit of a disappointment, frankly. I don't think it looked as nice in person as in the photos, and given the higher price, I was not as happy with it as I had expected. Still, I gave it 3 stars and it seems well made.

This is a lovely hat, but it does not sit on my head correctly. It just sits on the top of my head with no grip. Maybe I have a big head and don't know it. I would like to exchange it for another piece of merchandise, but I don't know if you will do that. it all came in one box but the choker i got i almost threw it away because i did not see it. it just came inside of a small bag no bigger than the choker itself.
