I was impressed with this item and ordered the belt to match today. Very well made.

You get what you pay for; this is cheap and looks cheaper in real life. It's a very shiny polyester velvet and not stitched well so it's lumpy.

This hat is beautiful, and very high quality for the price. However, it is more brown than it appears in the photo-- there is no caramel/ faint orange cast as it appears.

This was my first hat purchase from Historical Emporium, and I was not disappointed. The hat is beautiful, and much lighter weight than I anticipated, which is great. I was concerned that it might be too big and bulky, but it's the perfect size and stays put beautifully.

I love my skirt. The cloth is a great quality. I couldn't give it 5 stars because two buttons fell off within 5 minutes. I had to get my sweet husband to see them back on.

I don't think this tie has any shortcomings. The fabric and pattern are splendid, it's easy to prepare, and it matches all of my vests. With a fancy tie tack in place, I look ready for anything!

This is my favourite favourite shirt from Historical Emporium. The big collar gives you a lot of stylistic flexibility - it can be formal or informal, kind of Byronesque or professorial. I love the off-white colour. Looks good with a cravat or modern tie. Really comfortable and lush. I bought a second one.

These are my favourite pants right now. I really like the simple stripe, and the waist is lower than a lot of Historical Emporium pants at the back (they don't have the raised panel for suspenders) so they sit more like a modern pair. I love the higher waist ones too, but this one gives you more flexibility to wear the pants casually, with a t-shirt etc. Fantastic.

This is a beautiful cravat - as I said in my review of its red twin, it has a more cravatty, slender appearance than many of the other ascots, and sits really well. Lovely.

I love this cravat (and the gold one in the same style) - unlike many of the slipknot ascots, it has quite a slim appearance, and a more cravatty look when it's on. I can't wait for winter to wear it often.

Well worth the money, this tailcoat fits snug and is dazzling to look at. The material felt great as well. Overall, this is a superb piece of gentleman's clothing that can be worn to any formal occasion, whether it be a ball, opera, or whatever. Old-fashioned service was what I received with this great qulity cap. Have in identical cap (different clolor) I've had since 1975 and still ware it. I have no doult this one will last for 40 years as well. Love it!

They smell like old. However, they are nice for deep snow for keeping wetness out of your boots, so they are definitely worth the money.

This hat is especially well-made; it looks and feels genuine. The material is breathable, and the hat's construction is solid. My only qualm was that the neck drape was stiffer than expected, but that doesn't detract points in my book. Overall, a perfect headgear for a hot summer day.

This is a great lab coat. It is a little thin so you will have to wear something under it if you get the white version.

More like funky gray. Love the cut but the color is way off. Will need to return it unless you have one that is a "true" olive or green. Sorry :>{

The vest is well made. The buttons in particular are a very nice touch. However, the vest was unusable due to the sizing problem. I am 6'2", 180 lbs. I have several vests from different brands, and I were a size Medium in all of them. I ordered a Medium of this vest. It was like a tent. It looked and felt like an XL, with way too much fabric. I was swimming in it. So, I returned it and order a Small. The small was so small I couldn't get it around my chest to come close to buttoning it. The only way I can describe it is to say that they needed several sizes between S and M to fit most people. So, given the sizing, I had to return it as unwearable, as neither size came close to fitting me. Pity, it's a great vest. Editor's Note: Mr. Babow is correct that there was a sizing error in the size small. We are working with the manufacturer to resolve this issue. In the meantime, the sizing chart has been updated to reflect the sizing of the vests.

After reading all of the reviews, I thought I was doing the right thing when I ordered my partner a pair of these one size smaller than he normally wears. Unfortunately, they turned out to be much too big. Shipping these out to Canada was so expensive (equal to the price of the pants, at the fastest rate) that we won't bother to exchange them. On the plus side, they are very well-made. The material is fine and heavy and looks like it will last a very long time. The pants say "dry-clean only", but I suspect they'd make it through a wash and I'll be checking that out.

My husband is 6' 4", so finding clothes that fit can be a real challenge. The standish vest is long enough, adjustable for a good fit and the color looks great on him. We're very happy customers.

Beautiful vest. Gorgeous fabric with lovely details in the construction. As a costumer myself, I appreciate what goes into the makings of attractive, period-correct costumes. I lead a caroling quartet and this vest was worn by one of the members. He looked outstanding in this vest and enjoyed wearing it, too!

Asking your wife's measurements detours one from purchasing a gift as a surprise!! This item was ordered "just in time for Christmas" and it WAS delivered on time ... I was surprised. Once my wife modeled this jacket, I was absolutely amazed. It fit her as if it were custom tailored to her figure. BOY, DOES SHE LOOK GOOD!! The black swirl skirt ordered with the jacket was a perfect match. She glows!! Inquiry, she asked, "Where can I wear this?" To which I responded, "Wear it to WALMART. Maybe this generation of sloppy-clothed women might be motivated to upgrade their attire!!" My wife adds, "I am very happy the way it fits and the way it makes me feel ... elegant."
