I'm working on my "Protective Auntie" outfit to escort my nieces to a comicon. This skirt is the base piece for it all. Go by your normal size by number and not waste measurements on this one. After a very simple return, I have the perfect foundation for my outfit. The buttons seem solid, the fabric flowing for being twill and quite feminine with the independent edge I am going for.

I am tall, wear a size 4 jean, size 6 dress and this fit perfectly. It is fully lined and the quality of the materials and sewing are very good. My husband loves these pants and wears them all the time. It can be difficult to find pants for the tall, skinny men in my family, but these fit perfectly. He wears them with suspenders. We jokingly call him a "striped-pants diplomat," which is ironic, as the material is durable and rugged. Might have to get him another pair.

I bought these for my daughter, who loves them. Be aware that they are made of plastic, not metal. A great costume piece.

This watch was my daughter's favorite Solstice gift. She wears it all the time. I was a little concerned about the quality, but it's still working after a month and a half.

My 11 year old daughter adored this bracelet, but the octopus fell off a few days after she got it, and there was no effective way to re-attach it. It was not connected to the bracelet part by loops, just what appeared to be three small bits of metal, like solder, that didn't encircle the bracelet. I might try to wrap some wire around it, but it won't be as pretty.

Beautiful holster at an affordable price. Sets off my husbands Ruger Super Blackhawk. I would recommend going up 3 to 4 sizes rather than 2. My husband is a 32 waist. We purchased the 36 inch belt. We really could have gone with the 38 inch belt.

My daughter loves this coat! I bought it two sizes up being worried about the previous reviews on it fitting small. I actually think we could have gone just one size up instead, but she is tall, so it does fit well in the sleeve and overall coat length. Great quality and she has gotten many compliments on it!

I do Cowboy action shooting and ordered this coat about two weeks before our next shoot. It arrived in time to wear for the shoot and I received many compliments on it. I got this coat because it was lighter material than some of the others since I live in Georgia. The day of the shoot, it was 45 degrees when we started and in the upper 60s when we were done and the coat was comfortable the whole time. I am very pleased with it, thanks.

This vest seems well-constructed. Love the color and style. I take away one star for two reasons: 1. The vest fits me well across the chest--I ordered an XL and I am 5'7", 225lbs. However, I feel the vest is a little short. I can't imagine how short it would be on someone with my build that was taller. Granted, my rotund belly accounts for some of the shortness. 2. This is a minor quibble, but the collar/lapel is not a true collar. It ends at the top seam (along the top of the shoulder). This can be seen in the photos, but isn't really something you'd notice if you weren't looking for it. All in all, this is a nice vest. I bought it to occasionally wear for normal use, but it would probably be better utilized for costume-type occasions.

Too big in the ankle (boot shank); had to send them back. Common problem for me, 'cause I'm skinny, but given that these lace up, could they not have made them a bit smaller? Nicely designed shape, but for the price, the leather was thin and stiff.

A good quality pith helmet, surprisingly light! There is a bit of a chemical smell as others across the net have noticed, I believe this is a side effect from how the pith is formed in a somewhat primitive process. It airs out after a few days in the open (sunlight helps). The puggaree (the cloth band around the middle of the helmet) is sewn on, but should be removable if you wanted to change the color or add steampunk elements. Changing the color (or at least adding a colored stripe) was a common period alteration, and instructions are found online fairly easily. The chinstrap appears to be pleather (vinyl) but is functional. I plan on replacing mine as part of my outfit. Overall, I'm pleased, and it does fit my large (7 1/2") head well. If you head is bigger, you could fairly easily remove the internal supports and make your own (I know an exceedingly largeheaded Gentleman who removed his and heads a "do rag" under his and it works fine all week at Burning Man.)

Good price, timely arrival. Material seemed a little more like cloth than leather, but looked great. Had to return through NO fault of Historical Emporium. It was too small for the person who needed to wear it (realllly big head), but it was exactly as advertised.

I purchased this hat for my wife as an alternative to run-of-the-mill-looking black cowboy hats out there. We participate in the sport of Cowboy Fast Draw and part of our desired "look" is more authentic and traditional as opposed to a Boot Barn hat with air-holes in the side, if you know what I mean. I've had fantastic experiences in the past with the Emporium so we didn't hesitate to look here. This hat looks great and is sturdy. You should know however, that it is 100% wool with no beaver fur, so while the construction seems to be very good, the crown is not soft and pliable. This may be an advantage when throwing it in the back of the car and not having to be as careful to retain the shape. This hat would look good for a man wanting a sophisticated look, or a woman wanting a sexier twist. Overall, a great-looking, unique hat for a good price.

Durable brushed cotton trousers that are extremely comfortable. Alone, they are like a nice pair of denim jeans, but can be dressed up with other items from the Sable Collection or whatever you desire. Note: Please read and heed the Emporium's directions on sizing to avoid returns. These trousers sit at the navel and one should measure there and not use one's modern pants sizing.

Really nice object, except for the glass: it's soft plastic. That alterates a bit the feeling of "authenticity" .

This shirt has a great look to it. Had a little trouble with the sizing. I am a very tall person (6'9") so i ordered the 4XL. The sleeve were long enough, the collar was a 1" to big. The real downer was how wide it was. Definitely made for a wider body.

Very happy with my purchace. Size is great (I wear a size 13 US) Even hads enough room to fit a thicker sock or an insert for added comfort. To make a little more historically correct I bought a strip of black leather and sewed it like a flap over the zipper to hide it. Very comfortable.

great quality product. It looks great, wears well, and very durable. The only problem was the sizing. The sizing chat said the 3XL was for a 54" chest. It measured for a 57" chest when i got it. 6" to big for me. Had to send back. Went to order a new one and they were out of the color i wanted. Had to go with the wheat color vs a walnut color.

I love the suit. Using it for ballroom dancing costume. The quality of material and construction is great, but there is one big problem. Since the fabric stretches, the button holes have stretched to double the size of the buttons. A stabilizer was not used to keep the button holes from stretching. Every time I move the jacket buttons pop open!

I found the fabric weight to be a little lighter than expected and the sleeves fit a bit tighter over the frockcoat than I'd like, but the construction and styling are perfect!

Looks great in the photos, but the velvet looks much lower quality in person. I ordered pants from Historical Emporium and was very impressed with their quality...disappointed in the jacket, though.

The fabric for this was very nice, but the fit was pretty strange. There's no structure in the shoulders...the shoulders are a tighter fit while it's a bit larger around the waste. I loved the quality of the pants purchased from historical emporium, but was a little disappointed in the difference in quality for the jacket.

This vest pattern seems to photograph better than it looks in person. A few seams and pockets were lower quality than expected.

These are actual working cutting goggles meant for use in the lab or workshop, not the plastic stage props sold elsewhere! Just blacken the inside with a marker to cut glare and you're ready to go.
