It's time to revive spats as a fashion statement for us modern gals! What a useful item. They came in very handy this past freezing winter with leggings, tights and skirts, keeping me ankles nice and cozy when boots would have been too hot. And reversible! Both sides are of beautiful fabric, and they're constructed with the attention to detail of yesteryear. I brought them into the 21st century with elastic lock-laces for easy on/off and a more tailored look, but the voile ties are going with me to Paris...ooh-la-la, indeed!

Excellent fit and so comfortable as the material if slightly stretchy. If you buy form UK like me beware the customs will add a considerable amount to the total cost. However on the bright side they were delivered extremely quickly considering they came from the other side of the world! I would buy again but need to wait for someone to visit the USA and save the import costs. Perhaps the Emporium would like to open a branch in the Old Country?

I absolutely love my new vest. This is truly a masterpiece. The one issue that I take with it is the sizing. I understand that I'm on the smaller size, as I'm 5'8" and 150. To adjust, I ordered a small, but was still surprised to find that the vest was enormous. I had to take it in with a sewing machine. Other than a sizing issue, this vest is simply beautiful

This holster and belt are very well made and carry nicely. My gun fit well as did my spare ammo. I would highly recommend this item if you are looking for a great holster at a very fair price.

We used these in a stage production of Pride and Prejudice. I was worried about the inseam zippers ruining the period look, but they were hardly noticeable. The sizes worked well, with some heavy socks for the inbetween actors. The soles have very little grip so I recommend giving them some texture with adhesive traction or gaff tape. All in all an affordable versatile addition to our costume collection. Pros: solid construction, good period look, affordable Cons: slippery soles

Very happy with garment; fine workmanship; sizes do run smallish, but I had been fore-warned; bought the largest, figured I could always take in whereas it is very difficult to make bigger. Only alteration required was to shorten a bit (so I didn't trip going up and down the mansion's stairs). Don't know how the ladies of that day managed!

This jacket is wonderful. It's a little wide in the shoulders, though, but nothing a little tailoring can't fix. If you purchase this jacket, order it on the large size, get it tailored, and replace the plastic buttons with brass ones and it will increase the jacket's sexiness by a factor of ten.

You could hang these on the wall they are so beautiful, but this deck demands to be played with and achieve that well worn look. This deck has easily become my go to deck for playing cards.

I have a big head, which makes finding hats online a considerable and often disappointing challenge. This looked like the perfect hat for a murder mystery—description said adjustable to all sizes. Well, it has taken a good amount of stretching and squeezing, but this will work splendidly. The hat has stood up to quite a bit of manhandling. I know I'll be wearing it when summer finally gets here. A quality item. I'm very pleased with this.

I love this dress for many reasons. It breathes more than your usual Victorian/Steampunk fair. The boat neckline cut & short puff sleeves lets air circulate. Also it's a 2 piece that help with the ventilation as well. That's big for me cause I get hot very fast esp. in SD May. I fell between sizes & called to get help. In end the 3X was sold out, so I took a gamble on the 2X. The skirt was no problem to wear-elastic waist band. The top was tricky. These puff sleeves aren't your 80's padded shoulder pads. There is a little padding on the shoulder, not much. There are these strings attached to the top of the shoulder going down the sleeves to keep it puffy. The trick is to get your arm through so don't bother the strings and get the sleeves up your arms. It was a little tight buttoning up the top, but I was told by the staff when I called. Still I managed to make it work without the top looking distressed. I wouldn't exchange it cause the 3x would be to big. Lastly, I love the color. Steampunk women often dress in: red, black, & brown. Once in a while you see: gold, silver, yellow, deep hues like purple & cobalt blue. I was looking for a classy gown like outfit and the price is fair. Plus I don't have to wear high heel lace boots. A pair of comfortable flat will work just fine without the on looker being the wiser. I would highly recommend for a light refreshing change.

I have looked all over and even considered having a shirt customed made, By far this is the best and most comfortable shirt I have ever bought. If you are a Santa and looking for a Great Shirt for a low price and it is very Cool to wear.

I gave this vest stars, mainly because I had to return it for being too tight, and the next size up is just too big. It would have been better if the sizes were even rather than odd. I really think it is a beautiful vest, made of luxurious tweed, and may be one of the nicest vests they have.

Honestly, this coat is rather nice, and a great place to start. The fabric is heafty and textured, and the cut is just right. However, I returned it because it just wasn't what I was looking for. The outfit I'm building is more of an "upper class" look, and this coat seems better suited to a slightly more "common" town look. Less Philleas Fogg, more Inspector Lestrade. I may well order it again in the future if I'm inspired to build the right type of outfit.

These guys are top-notch in the looks department, and make for great dress pants. The material is a soft but substantial wool, but not coarse. These are not "work trousers" like many of the pants sold on HE. They will need hemming, which is standard, and will make a great addition to my growing collection.

I took a chance and purchased this suit to play a role in a community theater production, rather than having a costume custom-made for me. It was VERY well made, and I loved that it had two sets of buttons so the waistband is adjustable. I did end up adding small darts in the back of the jacket to compensate for my narrow shoulders, but I'm very pleased with this outfit and will certainly use this company again.

This coat is awesome. The detailing is beautiful as well as the fabric. Unfortunately, they were out of my size so I took the one closest that they did have and it fit.
