This vest is really well-made, and looks just as impressive in person as it does in the pictures. I ordered the 2x size, as I'm 6'4" with a 40" waist, and the listing on the site says that the vest runs small. I usually wear an XL. I have some bulges when I wear the vest, and it's a little shorter than I'd like, so I suspect that the creators assumed anyone needing a 2X would be a fat guy. But it's not short enough on me that it looks weird, and some creative arranging keeps the bulges from being too noticeable. Overall it's a great product, my issues mostly stem from being a non-standard size, the craftsmanship is high-quality and resulted in multiple admiring comments on my first night out wearing it.

Colors are rather unimaginative. Cotton actually works better than my silk version, and better than my synthetic version, as it holds its bow shape better. Cotton washes and presses easily.

I could not be more pleased with my purchase. My pith helmet is extremely lightweight and comfortable. The headband adjusts for a perfectly snug fit. I have had no issues with it blowing off. The ventilation is such that it keeps my head cool even in the midday sun. The brim keeps the sun out of my eyes without obscuring my view. Well worth the price! I highly recommend this hat to anyone!

This isn't my first waistcoat purchased from this site. Each one has been delivered quickly and the quality of the products has consistently met or exceeded my expectations. This particular waistcoat, especially when worn with a light colored jacket, will elicit tons of compliments - even from random strangers. As a matter of fact, I wore this waistcoat to work yesterday, and I walk past a haberdashery called "L'Uomo" in Philadelphia. The owner of the shop, a little old Italian guy, stopped me and wanted to know where I got my clothes from. Of course, if he sold these, they would cost around $2,000 just like everything else in his shop.

The price does not reflect the quality of the tuxedo. It looks much more expensive. The fit was perfect. I recently became involved with Chuck Wagon cooking. Although I've been Dutch oven cooking for close to 30 years with our Boy Scout Troop, this is the first time I've ever had to cook like was done on cattle drives on the trail. I needed to find some period clothing for the cooking competition, and discovered the Historical Emporium website thru an internet search. The products, particularly clothing, were just what I was looking for, and at a reasonable price. I am very satisfied with my purchases, and plan to order more as I expand my participation in competitive Chuck Wagon cooking.

Lovely outfit, but fit totally out of line with measurements; was MUCH too big and had to be returned for credit because not enough time to order smaller size

I have the black and the white bonnets. I wear them frequently and get lots of compliments. What I like the most is the little bit of stretch in the back. It stays on even in the wind without having to tie it under my chin. I wear them both ways. Perfect for hot summer days!

This petticoat is so pretty and so well made, I wear it as a skirt and I get lots of compliments. Because of the tie waist, it will fit whether I gain or lose. I will buy the white petticoat now that I know it's worth every penny!
