Beautiful shirt.......and just as seen on the site. Fits perfectly. Yellowy in colour, and looks fantastic when worn with a mixture of browns like the Griffith Frockcoat in walnut......and the Sweeney Trousers with the Herringbone pattern. Go for a browny/ greeny / tweedy type vest with the THIS shirt, and the other types of Brown available in coats and trousers.......and you'll see what i mean. 5 stars.....and well deserved.

Ok.....this Frock Coat was not at first , as close fitting as my Edwardian morning coat, even though it's the same size, and seemed slightly bigger.... especially on the shoulders and sleeve length. I KNEW, that to go a size smaller......would be a mistake. BUT.....when worn with the right coloured and coordinated clothing.......it DID even out as very comfortable, and VERY attractive in appearance on the body. This....could have be down to me losing weight recently......but......if i wear it as an overcoat with other 19th Century clothing i have..........(until my weight went back up to normal)...she still looks good. It's style, design, and manufacture are still worth 5 stars. A Word of advice.......in between ordering, and recieving ........KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR WEIGHT AND BUILD. It could be YOU..... and not the garment.

The Sweeney Trousers are an excellent choice if you want to edge into the Browns. The Herringbone pattern is not too intrusive on the colour.....and the one really does set the other off. As described....they do sit high, and they are comfortable to wear. I chose to wear these with my Pemberton shirt over Christmas, and they really go well together. Again.... full marks for a well designed and fitting garment.

Once again Gentlemen's Emporium have delivered the goods. The Pemberton is a high quality shirt. It was worn over the Christmas period and was admired by onlookers as unique, and interesting in contrast to today's fashions and designs. The shirt is slightly more yellowy than depicted.......its not so white as you might think from the picture. BUT.....thats not critisism.......the garment stands up well in my expectations. 5 stars??? I'd give it more than that if i could.

I've actually worn this more as a daily-wear top than for costume. 100% cotton so it's comfortable and breathable in the summer. The knit panels in the side give it some stretch so it can fit a bit closer to the body without having to be perfectly tailored. My husband and friends thinks it looks great. I wouldn't mind a few more colors like burgundy or blue.

This is a really useful skirt. It's light and full enough for an under-skirt. I've also "cheated" and worn it as an outer-skirt in hot weather/environments. If you put a belt over the waist you can't see the drawstring, and it passes nicely for a walking skirt. I'm very happy it's 100% cotton, so it's breathable in warm weather.

Simple cap, but it's made well and looks good. I've worn and washed it a few times, and it's holding up nicely.

This Town Coat was the last purchase in my assembling of a whole 3-piece Highland set. The cut and the fit are just right, and despite my concerns that the pieces might not match (I bought each part over the span of a year), everything matches just right and looks great. Knowing that this ensemble is Made in USA was a plus for me. The compliments I received from total strangers when I wore it to attend a Christmas Eve concert were a real boost to my ego. I'm not a guy that can pull off that present-day skinny-suit look with any kind of success, so I'm glad that the masculine Victorian look is just perfect for my body type. This was a gift for my brother. Great looking, my brother loved it. I bought my husband a different smoking jacket that was about $20 more, from the same store, and was blow away by the quality of his. Both jackets were incredible unique gifts.

I wore this to our company holiday party. I was complemented at least a dozen times by party-goers, and by passers-by on the street on the way to the party. The jacket has a soft-velour that is apparently irresistible to touch! I got an XL, and it was a little on the big side, with a lot of room in the mid-section. I normally wear an XL, 46/47. This is consistent with other products I've purchased from Historical Emporium: The jackets, shirts and vests seem to be made for thicker men. I am a little on the thick side, so not that big of a deal for me.

I bought this blouse as part of a Victorian Christmas caroling costume. I love the warmth of 100% cotton. For outdoor gigs, nothing is warmer than this blouse over a heavyweight silk undershirt. It's also very pretty, and practical for caroling because there isn't a lot of frippery (ruffles and such) to get in the way. I bought a women's extra large, and it was a bit big, but the blouse did shrink a bit in the washing machine, so it's okay. It still fits fine with a tiny bit of room to spare, which I like for ease of movement. The sleeves are a bit too long, but that's not a problem.

Normally I wear the black and white Gambler shirts I've purchased from the Emporium Stores with the various color vests I've also purchased. I needed a shirt and tie combination for a more formal occasion. I purchased this shirt and two Puff Ties, one red and one black, along with a set of red and green Tie Tacks.
