I truely love this coat. I have added pockets and reinforced the stitching on the buttons but this is my choice the coat is wonderfull first day i wore it to work i got complaments from six people on my way to work and a random guy in line with me at the grocery wanted to know if id sell it to him.

I was very impressed with this piece. I needed it for a costume ball. Totally satisfied

Hi to all at Historical Emporium: I'm glad to see you provide a space for comments. For it is something I've always felt is important in improving quality of service and/or the quality of a product. For in the end, it is the customers and/or clients that make a business. The Vintage Smoking Jacket- Purple Velvet is stunning yet elegant. It will turn customer's eyes upon the entry of my new business to be. The only thing I'm not happy about is that the inside lining stiffens up the smoking jacket. The inside lining has a 'crackling' sound as well which, makes it sound not attractive. The appearance on your website gives the smoking jacket a softer yet flowing look and that's what I expected. But I , also, understand that buying off the internet is always taking a risk. So, being very descriptive about a product will help give a larger image of what to expect. Otherwise, I'm 80% happy with the jacket. Thank you for asking for my input.

I normally wear a medium Wah vest. Occasionally, I will need a large. I followed the websites size chart. Large is HUGE, dwarfing my 5'-11", 170#, 43" chested frame..... The vest was on sale, so I just elected to order the Medium. It is STILL going to need to be altered, smaller, to fit me properly. ALSO, the pockets are NON-FUNCTIONAL! That just completely is wrong, in my view. More work for my seamstress.

Although the item was well made, as a bathing suit I was expecting an inner lining in the pants like normal bathing suits have. I think they should have stated that in the add. If you intend to get it wet you will need something under the pants.

This looked like a nice and interesting blouse on the screen. But it has odd tucks in the fabric over the shoulder. The line of lace added to the front button holes makes the fabric flip back over the buttons. The banded area of the forearms made it too tight. I am a swimmer but not fat . I felt the added lacing on either side of the front made me look heavier. Over all - not for me, had to return it. You would need to be fairly thin to pull this off. I bought a medium and I usually wear a size 8-10.

I really enjoy the bottle necklace. Nice size. Long enough chain. Simple, sophisticated and had an air of mystery.

The watch is very nice for the money spent. It is rather lightweight, so don't expect an heirloom. It is, however, very useable and nice for everyday use.

As noted, the elastic is only in the back strap. They take some getting used to compared to full elastic types and are a bit harder to slip into, but I really like the look. The leather tabs have generous slots that are easy to slip over pant studs.

Good match for my Safari Bush Jacket. Lighter weight fabric than I expected but still seem to be good quality. Ordered two sizes larger than modern pants (as usual) and the fit is good. But the next time some Boor makes a comment about my "waders", he'll receive a right smart drubbing!

High quality, excellent fit, and very comfortable. Based on past experience, I ordered 2 sizes larger than modern pants (42 vs 38) because of my middle-age spread. The pockets are generously sized and much heavier fabric than most pants, which for me is a big plus... great place for the iPhone! Color is slightly darker than shown, but close enough! Would like more inseam choices, but after a friend taught me how to hem pants, I won't hesitate to buy another pair (Crimson next time, I think!)

At first when I put the coat on it seemed a little small. However when hung on a hanger for a day or two it fit very well. Can not explain that one?
