Arrived in Texas from Cali in 2 days from the time I ordered it. 44 cases we we a tad loose so I soaked all 49 loops in water and left it in the sun all afternoon - now the perfect size for 44's. Should last for ever.

My husband loves it...he was looking for an 'Old West' style vest with a collar and this is exactly what he wanted. An excellent, high quality fez at a very responsible price. When I bought this my only intention was to use it as a leisure hat with maybe occasional dress use. This immediately become my defacto "around town" hat. I'm sure that I'll soon buy a few more; one for leisure wear, one for special occasions (especially locations or evenrs that a little near-East flair would fit well), mabye a couple more for general use, ;-) To any buying one, a few suggestions: 1) Don't always wear it with the "back" (side with the tag) to the back. Randomly rotate it 90° every so often. Because of the soft nature of the fez, the shape will warp some if resting against things. This will help undo that. 2) If you wear it tight and/or lower on the head, be prepared for the bottom to stretch and become a bit wider. It still fits fine and, most importantly, looks fine (the difference is hardly noticeable unless you are really looking for it), but if you want to keep the cone tight you may wish to keep this in mind. 3) If your first impulse (even before it arrives) is to start looking for a tassel or two to adorn the top (as was with me); truly consider not doing so. The nub on top is just about perfect by itself, I think. Give some thought before you tassel. As always with the Historical Emporium, this is a wonderful, high quality touch of history that is perfect for the modern world. I have never yet been disappointed with their products or service.

From the moment I pulled this out of the packaging I knew it was of a certain quality. It is a sturdy and appealing holster. Well made for the most part and looks like it will stand up to the rigors of use. I have only one complaint that reduces this product to 4 stars. The hammer loop appears to be glued in place and cannot be adjusted. This wouldn't necessarily be an issue except that adequate length wasn't allowed before the gluing so the hammer loop does not hook over the hammer of my revolver. I am loathe to make the modification myself but I see no other option. I am delighted with every other aspect of the product.

This is a beautiful hat but it was not beige. The crown of the hat is covered with beige lace but the brim of the hat is white and the lace and feathers on the brim are white.

I am very happy with my Abilene vest. I have had nothing but compliments. It is very well made. I wear it with my modern day suits. I don't think a gentleman is really dressed without a waistcoat! Even when you take your coat off, you still look dressed

This is a well constructed 3 piece period Edwardian style suit that could pass for modern if used without the vest. The wool is very good quality, the fit and finish are superb. It was a bargain at the price. I am using it for a period theatrical performance, and intend to use it in the future for normal wear. I couldn't be more pleased with the product, the service, and timely shipping.

I ordered this vest for my husband. he is a large man and often has trouble finding a vest to fit. this vest came in 3x tall which was a perfect fit. it is well made and it is lined, this gives it a classy look. the order was promptly shipped and we were surprised how quick it arrived. Smells bad works great.

I received this coat at lightening speed and was entirely pleased with both its look and its quality. The fabric is strong, yet soft, and it moves beautifully. It washed very well, and the chemical smell (probably from the dying process or the plastic wrapping) washed out in one cold wash. I will likely re-stitch the buttons with upholstery thread, but I do that to all my/my husband's coats anyway.

The subtle paisley design on this vest is very handsome indeed. The fit is perfect even for those of a more portly stature. My only gripe, if any, is that the material is a bit thin. It seems to be made well enough, but not as thick as I thought it would be. If the fit were tighter, I'd be afraid of tearing, but as I said, the fit is great, so I've no concern there.

A lot of times when you buy something, it doesn't wind up looking like the picture and you're left disappointed. Not in this case! The sleeves are roomy, but not saggy. The jabot is completely removable and securely attaches to the shirt via button holes strategically placed so that it covers them where the lace falls. The collar is not too tight, and the fit is perfect. It also looks well made, and not some cheap costume material. This shirt was well worth the asking price for the distinguished gentleman who wants to add a little pizzazz to his ensemble.

The slouch hat that I purchased is well-made and comfortable. It fits well and sets low enough on my head so the wind does not cause a problem by blowing it off. I do competitive chuck wagon cooking and this hat is period correct for trail drives. It is a great addition to my historical wardrobe.

Before finding Historical Emporium's lab coat, I made the mistake of buying an inferior "mad scientist costume" elsewhere. Long story short the other "coat" was terrible but this one is awesome. The material here is soft and breathable, creating a very comfortable and impressive lab coat. If you're in the market for this style coat, you won't regretting buying it here.

This will be a review of the appearance, as I have not yet had occasion to wear them. They look very nice, they are almost "museum" in appearance in profile. The overall vamp shape is good. They do have a toe box, but my old feet will approve, and forgive that. They have modern style sole and heel. That said, the price was very right, and they arrived well before the expected date. I bought them to bridge the time needed to accomplish the repairs that were well past doing on my Jefferson Booties. They will help spread the 19th cen duties and make both pairs last longer. The 4 star review in no way reflects poorly on any part of the experience or service in this transaction. In reality the rating should be in the 4.75 range. They are just not wholly historic,nor did I expect that. but they will serve me admirably none the less.

The only thing that I have against it that I ordered a large where it fits tight. I think I could have purchased a XL instead. I went by the past recommendations for the Veronica Frock Coat to order one size up from your usual size and it was the right way to go. The coat is fitted on top, so the extra room works out great! There is plenty of "skirt" on this coat and it could safely be worn as a dress as the buttons do come down far enough to not show too much leg. Very well made, really like the pockets on either side.

I like this waistcoat quite a lot; it's become a staple in my wardrobe. It is sturdy, attractive, and comfortable. I was expecting the material to match the "black cotton canvas trousers" that I bought earlier, hoping to wear them together as an ensemble, but it is different in colour and texture, so that is a little bit of a miss. Also, I have a 38-inch chest, but after consulting with the staff there at the emporium who helpfully measured the actual garment for me, I ordered the small, listed as fitting "up to" a 36-inch chest, and it is plenty big enough... it could actually be tighter, so the fit is generous for the listed size in my opinion. I like it enough that I expect to buy the same vest in other colours in the near future.

How can anyone not like this pant, at least anyone who does not appreciate the turn of the century fashion. Perfectly fit my WWI suspenders. Strong yet supple material, all cloth, no polyester etc. Love the high waist, but may take a little getting used to for the novice. I wear them to teach college writing class, and students think I am dressed in the latest fashion. Imagine that! Really no need to comment on the quality of the construction or material and sturdiness. They are titled "Vigilante," after all. I used to pay $60Us or less for Dockers, but no more. Why not make a statement that most will not pick up on. Pockets, also. I will wear this pant tomorrow to teach ENG100 at University of Hawaii's Hawaii Community College (that is the official title), with the suspenders and a white German field shirt. Beautiful. Hey, made of canvas, so what do you expect, yet they do not look like a wrangler's canvas pant. Can pass as a dress pant, which I wear them as. Hardcore stuff. Best I have ever come across. These are the low waist models, somewhat lightweight, which means cool, and that is important if you live in the tropic, as I do. Entirely comfortable. Lengthen the suspenders since the waist is not high. A good modern yet throwback look. Aloha, Loren

White stripes brighter than I expexcted. Maybe I was expecting a charcoal stripe but it is bright white. Legs very long but meant to be hemmed.
