Good quality perfect for what I needed. By adding a few embellishments, it will be exactly what the role calls for. Amazing. Although it isn't actually satin but more like a brushed cotton satin fabric its still beautiful. If at all possible in the future, we would love to see more first class (upper crust of society) type party dresses. Thank you!

These are the second pair of trousers that I have purchased from Historical Emporium. I do not use them for period reenactments, but rather, for everyday wear. These are comfortable, breathable, and hard wearing. I am a shop teacher, and wear them at work. They hide oil and grease stains, and have yet to show any wear or damage. I shall most certainly be purchasing more in the future, as these are soooo much better suited to my build, and to the job that I am doing. You WILL need suspenders. These do NOT fit the same as modern pants. They are MUCH more comfortable around my waist, and in the crotch than the modern pants that I am wearing today. And the 4 pocket vest... extra pockets, and cover the suspenders well!

I love the blouse. It worked perfectly and everyone complimented me on it at my "reenactment" of a founding member of the DAR at my chapter's meeting. I received the blouse sooner than was estimated, and it fit, except the cuffs were a little too big but I think I can move the buttons over. I'm always hesitant to try a new website but the service was excellent.

After seeing the typically mundane vests offered at department stores, finding this line of vests was a real treat. I have a red one, a green one, and will next purchase a gold one that add stylish exclamation points to my business attire.

I purchased this tall Derby as a Christmas gift for a friend of mine with a vintage fashion sense. When it arrived, it was in immaculate condition. I was truly surprised at the quality on the interior of the hat. It certainly looks comfortable if not possibly a bit warm for the summer seasons, but nonetheless, it was a beautiful hat. It even came with a little feather tucked in (that I'm sure my friend will promptly remove upon receiving this gift) that only adds to the quality of the product and service. Whether you are purchasing as a gift, or for personal use, I can highly recommend this.

Fits perfect. I'm 5'10 and weigh 170 pounds With a muscular build. The medium is just right. Not to loose at all. The buttons and finish to the vest look very sharp.

I loved the hat the first time I seen it on EBay and now that I have it and wear it daily it has gotten much play. My baby brother said I looked like the kid in pet seminary but while at a grocery store he had to eat his words when not one but two checkout woman reved about how much they loved the hat. I'm 59 years old and still working. Have to dress business professional and this vest with my bow tie has really grabbed positive attention. The full dress suit got to hot this summer so I down sized to a vest so to speak. The middlethorp is great.

The derby was exactly what I was looking for.

Ordered in an XL Tall size, this was actually a little too big. Washed in hot water, it shrank some and fits reasonably well. The craftsmanship is impeccable. Watch out for the care label, which is paper, inside the garment. I washed it before finding it. The shirt is authentic enough to wear in a museum setting, which is where it will be used.

I got this tie to go along with a Titanic era ladies suit (the boarding suit). Very nice. I had expected a more or less nice tie but the fabric was heavier and richer then expected. A unexpected surprise to me was a loop to keep the tie in place. The tie exudes FIRST CLASS!

Next year, all being well, a very good friend is 'tying the knot' for the second time. It will happen in the summer, out in the country, in Sweden. The days are very long and bright and hot about then - to make up for the long freezing blackness of the Swedish winter. A light summer suit is exactly what is required, with a crisp Edwardian shirt and a silk cravat - with a Panama hat, of course.

I wore this to a wedding and got many compliments and "where did you get that" questions. It is very warm so best in cool weather. I wore with just a nice businesses shirt and a high quality, colorful tie. I tried the suggested vest but liked it better with just the shirt and tie. It fit perfectly for me 44" chest 34" sleeves is my suit size and XL size was perfect.

Very happy with my coat

I bought this for a Civil War event, playing a gambler/Pinkerton agent for a train museum show. It was warm weather and it rained and this duster was light enough to breathe and did a fair enough job keeping me warm from the rain. It is not water-repellant but because it is canvas it did a fair job deflecting the drops. The back vent unbuttons so that when I walk, the tails flow behind me in a gunfighter sort of way. It makes good drama when I fling the edge of the coat back to reveal the Remington hogleg strapped to my hip, too. I can almost hear the "Good, Bad, and Ugly" whistle when I do that. The canvas is durable and should hold up for a good long while. I had to have the sleeves shortened on mine, but I do that with most of my coats anyway. I'm looking forward to getting a lot of service out of this coat!

This is a stunningly beautiful garment but I found it a little small for me. I gave it to a friend as a gift, she was delighted :)

I used this blouse in a portrayal of Mrs. Benjamin Harrison, wife of the 23rd President of the US, at historic Berkeley Plantation on the James River in Virginia, the Harrison's ancestal home. Although this blouse was in the "western" collection, it worked well as a "day dress" ensemble worn when at home. Paired with a patterned black velvet skirt, cameo and shawl, it was the hit of the day!
