Your order was perfect. The clothes were a Christmas present for my son. He enjoys it very much. The burgundy railhead pants however had a little fault. One of the rivets that hold the suspenders was loose, falling out of the opening. Since we live in Germany and shipping is pretty expensive it makes no sense to return it. The vest was a good purchase– for the single formal event I wore it to. However, it does not hold up to any kind of regular day-to-day activity. I have had the vest less than a week and already have one pocket with loose stitching and a popped button. It looks good, yes, but do not buy this vest if you are counting on an item to be truly wearable in an "authentic" sense. Cosplay is go... going to work is not.

This vest is "fit for a king" according to my girlfriend, and I concur. It looks absolutely stunning worn under my white wool overcoat with the black collar, black pants, black wingtip shoes, white spats, white dress shirt, and white Panama hat. Is it "over the top"? Definitely, and for me that's just about right!

I wore this tie to an event in the city and I received compliments from almost everyone I met. Someone even asked me what type of tie is as they never saw one like it. I told the type and where I bought it. I could not be happier. Also a great edition to my Sherlock Holmes cosplay.

This shirt was purchased to wear with a frock coat, cravat, and waistcoat to the Dickens Christmas Faire in San Francisco. I am not a standard letter size, so the shirt was a bit large on me, but it certainly was exactly the size indicated in the product description. The workmanship was of good quality and the materials were appropriate for a dress shirt. While I normally don't care for metallic buttons (even on modern blazers) the pattern on this shirt's buttons was unobtrusive and did not clash with the larger buttons on the frock coat: worn together it was a bit more Western-style than Dickensian-era, but the combination worked well together. For a Dickensian or Victorian-era shirt, the collar would benefit from being about 1/2 or 3/4 inch taller, but that is a very minor detail. The description and photographs of the product were accurate, relieving a general concern about buying clothing online without try-on in a fitting room.

The holster is of very good quality leather with good stitching.

My best friend laughed when his son wanted to borrow the new red silk sleeve garters for his girlfriend's thighs - no one is that skinny! I was glad they didn't get absconded... (lol) My friend wore the garters with the brown Filigree Shirt and looked the part of a gambler without need of vest or jacket (which for comfort reasons he was not able to wear that day). We were stylin' at the Dickens Faire!

I had intended to return these for credit as the "rise" is not enough for a good fit but I tore the box when opening and could not re-use it for the return. It sits in the trunk of my car... I really wanted these to be perfect! The quality is good and the style just what I wanted for my Dicken's Faire costume. Alas. Maybe I can find a way to make these work for me? (fingers crossed)

He looked really swell in costume but even better, he L-O-V-E-S this shirt and has worn it several times for special occasions so far this holiday season! My husband wanted something a little different than the same ole collared white dress shirt. He really likes the style and fit of this shirt. To this point he has only tried it on. It has not been washed or worn but from what we have seen so far I am confidant that we will remain satisfied with this purchase.

I'd got the Black Velvet "plain" Vintage Quilted Smoking Cap ("plain" meaning no embroidery on the side) because I wanted a warm cap to wear "indoors" during winter. I wear sweaters and turtlenecks indoors so that I can keep the thermostat turned down, reducing my heating bill. However, I still suffered from a cold head! I had pull-overs, toques, knit stocking caps, and a bunch of other, regular, outdoors winter-wear lids. But I had nothing even remotely "Ritzy" to wear indoors. The other stuff made it look like I'd just come in from checking he mail, or something--- not like something I had intentionally worn indoors! The smoking cap's ideal! It's also a good bit like Dumbledore's "casual cap," (which I'd also considered; rejecting it because it was made too small for me!) but less "ornate." The Vintage Quilted Smoking Cap also special in that the "XL" version fits me; and I usually take a 7-7/8 or "XXL" hat or cap! I like the Harry Potter series; but being in my 60s, it behooves me to avoid dressing exactly like Dumbledore! (Yea, sure; the kids & grand-kids would love it, but it might cause talk!) So I split the difference, buying a cap that only slightly resembles a "wizard's cap." I'm happy, the kids are happy, and the rest can hop it! However--- I hope that the Historical Emporium has an ample supply of these, as they're great for "customizing" into fancier versions with glued-on trim & piping, braid & brooches, for the costumes of "Dumbledore Wannabes!" The grand-kids have already started circulating a photo of me, wearing the black velvet cap, with some wizardish "Photo-shopping," to show their on-line friends how neat the "Smoking Caps" are!
