A great deal and great looking vest.

I am very happen with this coat. It is a functional coat for me, not a costume. The coat is very warm and looks great.

Great vest. Good quality. My only complaint is that I would like more adjustment in the belt. I ordered one size too large, but decided to keep the vest anyway. Definitely not Historical Emporium's fault. I could have returned the vest, but was too anxious to wear it! Plan to order again!

Great Victorian hat. My husband wears it as his everyday winter hat with gray wool toggle coat. Wonderful for the person who is a bit "non traditional" when it comes to winter hat gear. Beautifully made, fits great, too! Didn't notice the feather in the picture when I ordered it- would prefer without, but still worth keeping.

This is the second outfit that I have ordered from HE. The Rosalind suit is beautiful, well made, and fits me like a glove. The ruby color with the black lace trim is gorgeous! It will be perfect for the historical event that I will be attending in San Francisco. The most important thing I can say is to make sure you follow the measurement guide and you won't go wrong.

The vest arrived quickly and it fit my husband perfectly. The quality is that of a normal man's dress vest, not costume quality at all, and at this price I could not make the vest myself. I am very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a man's dress vest of this style.

If you own just one shirt, make it this one. The club collar can be upturned for an earlier high-collar look, and its styling is timeless. If there WERE one thing I would bemoan about this garment, it's the lack of french cuffs. I'm going to need a buttonhole sewn on the button side of the cuff, because I adore wearing my many cufflinks. You guys really missed the boat on this single detail. This does NOT keep me from rating it five stars, however, simply because I LOVE this shirt!

So much finer than I expected, this coat exceeds anything I'd hoped for. Very finely tailored and absolutely true to size; it fits as though it were Saville Row bespoke. Not too heavy, it's perfect for all-season wear. Simply fabulous!

This walking stick is superb! Very heavy, it can be used in defense if accosted by assorted scallywags, ruffians or hooligans on a spree. Highly recommended!

These trousers are THE fashionable way to dress! And they're incredibly versatile; from tycoon to desperado, you'll look authentic in these. I should have paid closer attention to the sizing advice. I ordered my regular waist size, but should have gone one size larger, as they DO ride higher than today's styles. Beware your own vanity! Now I have a great incentive to lose that last five pounds. :-)

What else can I say? It certainly is a distinct way to hang two lenses above your nose.

Had a pair of these in the early 1950's , that's the last time I saw them till now.

I have purchased several cuff type " swordsman " gloves before, most are one size fits all ,good for rough and tumble,but looking only a little better than common work gloves , however your gloves are nothing like that-- they are sized so using your simple measuring techniques it is easy to obtain a custom fit,their cuff length is just right- the look and feel justifies the price. The glove feels made to hold a sword, I don't see how the higher priced kid gloves could be better. The proof of all say is I intend to purchase another pair of these Swordsman gloves , maybe a pair of the kid gloves too, just to see if they could possibly be better, however I don't think they look as good as the black leather.

I wasn't sure if the vest would fit, since I am a plus size, but to my surprise the vest fit perfectly. I love the way the vest looks on me. My wife said the vest make me look snazzy. Good looks, good fit, good selection.

Love the rich,crimson colour. Good stitching, like how it drops almost down to my feet. Coat is unique without being ostentatious. People regularly come up and ask me about it. All it is is simple, treated canvas; nothing unusual except that its colour and nice lines are very tasteful and appealing. size XL was the perfect fit for me (I like slightly oversize) I am 5'11", broad shoulders, and weigh 210 lbs

The skirt is as described and accurately represented in the photos. The sizing chart seems accurate as well. This is important to me because I run between sizes (it's gonna be a small or a medium). Well made. Haven't worn it yet but it is the exact look I was searching for.

I searched in vain for just the right cashmere scarf for my son. The prices on other sites were incredibly high! And most were"feels like" cashmere items. Then I found Historical Emporium...and was amazed that I finally found a cashmere scarf that was not just reasonably priced...but the quality was exceptional! And the perfect color! Looking for a gift for a guy? Anyone would love to have this scarf!

With several upcoming historical functions, I decided to purchase a full outfit instead of renting again. The Callahan frock coat, vest and pants really matched the look I was after. I wasn't disappointed at the style when I received them, but I was less than impressed with the material. It's thin enough to read through, and because of this the drape of the coat and pants suffers. I'm also concerned with the wear and tear on the coat and pants. It's unfair of me to judge that since I've only worn them to check the fit, and have yet to wear them out, but I feel as if I need to be very careful with them. Time will tell, I suppose. BTW, it probably won't surprise anyone to these are made in China. Why not? It allows sellers to make a good profit. And just because something's made in China doesn't necessarily make it bad. The workmanship is fine, equal to what you'd find in most inexpensive clothes. Bottom line: I have a bit of buyer's remorse at spending north of $300 for a coat, vest, pants, and a couple of ties that I'm not certain will last. Still, unless you have something custom made at a much MUCH higher price (I know, I looked pretty extensively) this is the probably the best way to achieve a period look.

We purchased this shirt with a pair of fall front trousers for my husband to wear to a Regency Ball. He already had a coat, vets and boots. But this shirt and the trouser created the perfect Regency look. He had other, younger men coming up to him stating how they wished they could look like him. This shirt is awesome. !00% rayon so not a period correct fabric, but the drape, hang and flow is perfect! Love this shirt and would recommend it for anyone need a period shirt. Wish I could post a photo of my husband wearing it.

Nice and well made. You have to go by your high waist measurement to get proper fit. Husband's chest and high waist are 44 so that is the size I order. The fit is perfect. You will have to hem them or have it done by a seamstress. No biggie.

A really handsome jacket and well made. My husband has a 44 barrel chest and he isn't able to wear these coats buttoned. However if I ordered the next size up it would be too big every where else. He doesn't mind it though and he looks very dapper when he is all gussied up.
