Well fitting, but a little thin for what I expected. They look nicer than plain cotton gloves so it'll add a nice touch to your outfit, but it doesn't feel much sturdier than plain cotton; those can be found cheaper if you're not interested in the dress gloves' style.

Well fitting gauntlet-style gloves, perfect for cosplay and conventions. The leather is thin enough that I feel like I can still turn a doorknob or hold a phone, but doesn't feel flimsy. The forearm portion is a little wider than I expected, but I suspect when I'm wearing long sleeves for my outfit it'll fit a bit more snugly. Very satisfied.

A great set of boots that reaches just below my knees (My legs are a little shorter than average) and feels good enough that I could stand to walk around in it for a convention. If you need a set of white boots, there's none better that I have found!

THE CANE IS MADE VERY WELL. ALTHOUGH, I AM A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED. THE COLORAZATION BETWEEN THE CROOK AND THE STAFF ARE DECIDEDLY DIFFERENT. THE CROOK (HANDLE) IS MUCH DARKER THAN THE STAFF. I THINK I WILL BE ABLE TO STEEL WOOL THE STAFF AND RE-STAIN IT TO A DARKER COLOR.

I ordered this suit for a murder mystery dinner fundraiser that was set in Old West days. I won the best dressed award! It is a pretty suit. However, the sizing is really off so bear that in mind when ordering. I had read another review that the skirts run small so I ordered a size larger than I normally wear so the skirt would fit (it did) but then the top was way too big! So, skirt ran small, top ran way big. It would be nice if you could order the pieces indidually so that both would fit correctly.

While this jacket could technically pass for a Victorian smoking jacket, it is definitely a modern blazer. I have a huge fondness for velvet blazers because they are so versatile. In terms of evening wear, a velvet blazer can be paired with a shirt and tie (especially a bow tie) for a formal event, or it can be paired with a trendy tshirt and jeans for an informal event. This jacket is very handsome, expertly tailored, and will definitely attract a lot of attention. It also comes from Italy, where velvet has been made for centuries. So you can expect the quality to be quite high. These jackets can be very expensive, so this very affordable jacket is definitely entry level, but it still has the high quality tailoring you would expect to come from Italy. Once I get the funds, I will definitely purchase another one.

Fantastic vest, and it appears to be well made. The leather thickness is just so, and what I was hoping for. It does provide some warmth as one would expect, but not overly so. The buttons are sewed on properly with small buttons for backing on the inside, so no worries that they will fall off or pull out. I had at least one person ask me if I rode horses!

The hat is well made and everything that I expected. I'm going to upgrade the hat band as I planned to do before the purchase. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting a period correct straw top hat that can easily be upgraded.

I'm satisfied with the gun belt but disappointed in the holster. The gunbelt is nicely tooled and sized down to the sizing for 22 caliber shells. The holster seems way to big for my 22 call roughrider. The gun almost disappears in the holster!

We ordered this suit for a costume party. If we had tried to rent one, the cost would have been almost the same. It arrived in perfect condition and fits great. My husband says the pants are comfortable, and the lining is very nice. The price was very good for the product, and it is a real suit, not a costume, with fully finished details.

I've been looking for folding side shield steampunk sunglasses - specifically with a brow bar. I was so glad to come across this site! This is the best price and best quality that I've seen without having break my wallet. The only downside I have was the size. I was concerned that the frame wasn't going to fit my face. However a little adjustment with the bridge pieces and a minor angle adjustment at the hinges were a simple solution. Overall, I've fallen in love with these pair and definitely will be picking up some more of their other glasses soon! Thanks!

Goggles are great. Was caught in the rain after participating in the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride in Evansville, IN. Besides looking cool, they served their purpose.

I was pleasantly surprised by the brushed cotton material. It's very comfortable, with a medium heft. It almost looks like wool, but won't be too warm for indoor cosplay.

This tie is quite beautiful, but the colour is definitely darker than what's shown. Not quite, but nearing teal rather than true aqua. I still love it. The tie is also well constructed of gorgeous, quality fabric. My only complaint is that the strap that goes round the collar is only barely long enough (it's maybe even a smidge short, but I'm making it work) for the collar of the shirt I bought from Historical Emporium, a 3X Excelsior dress shirt. Another inch or two on the strap would have made a big difference.

The shirt is very nice , The only problem is it runs Large. My husband usually wears a Large and sometimes a XL so I ordered a Large and it was huge had to send it back for a medium. Received the second one with in a week of sending it back.

Blouse is well made and fits wonderfully except for the cuffs. No consideration has been given to the fact that the forearm grows wider the closer to the elbow and the cuff is the same circumference all around. Thus the cuff is too large at the wrist and am unable to button the last 2 or 3 buttons closest to the elbow. Therefore to wear it comfortably the last 2 or 3 buttons closest to the elbow, being unable to button will mar the outline of the blouse. I hope in future this over site will be rectified. Love the colors and the material is heavy enough I can comfortably wear it in winter. Thank you for a lovely blouse.

The vest is well-constructed, fits as the guide suggested, and looks good, especially with casual and western attire.

I'm usually very happy with items I purchase from the Historical Emporium, but this watch was very flimsy, with a plastic face, very soft, fragile metal, and the stem doesn't work well to get it to start telling time. I had to pull it out and push it in several times before it started working. I would have sent it back, but the metal scratched and bent a little when I was opening it to put the new battery in, even though I was using a jeweler's watch tool. I figured it wasn't in good enough shape to send back. I work at a State Park, where we dress in period clothing and was going to use this watch for that, but it's not quality enough to wear.

The dragon vest was the hit of the party. The vest is superior quality, fits as noted in the description, and looks absolutely stunning. I paired it with a black pearl pocket watch and black puff tie for a true gentlemanly look. A really well made garment that I look forward to wearing again.

I think the coat seemed nice, except I could not actually get it on because the sleeves were extremely small compared to the rest of the garment. I called into Customer Service - which was EXCELLENT - they went into the warehouse and measured different sizes for me only to determine that the sleeves only got bigger by 1/2 inch total even though we looked at every size available, including the very largest size available, even a 3X. Additionally, the jacket arrived with a very strange smell, but I presume that came from the manufacturer.

Just what I was looking for! Good look for stage productions that take place in the late 19th-early 20th century. Comfortable to boot! Was concerned as to whether I should size up or down because they don't come in half sizes. Sized down and when I took them out of the box I was a little worried, but as soon as I slipped them on I knew I had nothing to worry about. Fit beautifully. Came incredibly fast as well.

I'm a small woman (5'3 120 lbs) and bought a size small. Because I am so short, I will need to hem the bottom and the sleeves- right now the coat goes all the way down to the floor, so keep that in mind if you are a woman ordering this. That said, I love it! It's high quality- doesn't feel like the cheap costumes you get from Halloween stores. I know that this costume will last and I'll likely wear it for the next several years. Glad I made this purchase instead of going for a cheaper version.

Possibly the favorite item I've ordered from Historical Emporium so far, this is a strong, sturdy, and warm overcoat with great style. Definitely draws attention, but doesn't look like a cheap costume coat at all. Warm, practical, and effective... kept me comfortable and dry on a recent boat tour of Prince William Sound, Alaska.
