This is an excellent product in quality and appearance...and It matched my date's dress wonderfully.

This ascot was picture perfect in so many ways! It was neck wear of exceptional quality and steadfast rigidness. It, and you by proxy, will look sharp.

I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the club collar itself apparently is made of the same material as the rest of the shirt and didn't seem reinforced and more rigid like I expect a collar to be (and like I suspect collars from that time period were).

Note that for me, these trousers ran a little small: a 34-inch waist fit me better than my usual 32-inch. I give these trousers 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the visible brand-tag stitched on the outside, above the seat: such advertising threatens to break the illusion that a period piece like this is intended to create.

When I was in graduate school in England in the mid-60s, we wore shoulder capes as part of our uniform -- they were wonderful and since my return, I have only once seen a coat that had a cape -- I purchased and wore it out! Now I have found another and while I don't look for the cold in Minnesota, this will bring back warm memories and warm shoulders.

This is a beautiful jacket! It was received very timely, exactly as represented and of superior quality.

Inside of corsett needs a flap to cover the zipper on the inside against your skin. It is very uncomfortable after a period of time. But overall love it fits great!

Everything about buying this item was awesome, from the great person I spoke with on the phone, to the speedy delivery that exceeded expectations. The lab coat itself is beyond great! I bought it for a costume contest at work, and would have won, but my rival had better legs. Seriously, if I was an actual mad scientist, I couldn't ask for a better lab coat, the quality is that good. It's not just some flimsy item that would look good on stage, the material, construction, and workmanship are all excellent.

Got these hemmed the other day and wore them last night. Really comfortable - heavy enough fabric to be warm, but light enough not to be too much in summer weather. I would certainly buy again (or just get a 2nd pair!) Suspenders are lot more comfortable than a belt.

The quality of this dress was great. Unfortunately, the top was much larger than the skirt. I wondered if you mixed up the sizes. The skirt fit perfectly, but the top was really big. I pinned it the best I could but was still too big. I did not have time to exchange it, so went to our event with it pinned.

Though the vest was beautiful the sizing was off according to the sizing chart. I returned the vest and ordered another Klondike vest that is silver. Still waiting for its arrival.

This is a remarkably good coat for the price. As a cosplayer, I'm used to paying twice as much for something comparable, then taking it to a tailor for fitting. The 44 fit me right out of the box and I intend to use it for many years to come.

Do you own any sage colored clothing in your wardrobe? I do now thanks to The Emporium! And did you also know that another meaning for sage is to be very wise? Which is exactly what you would be for purchasing this vest. It's soft, subtle, brownish-green colors blend into this handsome, lightweight herringbone patterned fabric giving a very distinguished and polished appearance to its bearer. Be wise like me and get this vest!

I like the fabric and the design on this blouse. I believe the size likely fits fairly true to form around the bust area. The sleeves are fairly long, but the button cuffs will help. I have thinner wrists than some, and usually wear a petite size, so I will have to move the buttons on the sleeves to make them fit properly so the cuffs won't hang down over my hands. I purchased the blouse to wear with a ruffle bustle skirt and they look great together! I purchased the ivory color and it is quite nice. If the sleeves weren't so long I would have given this blouse 5 stars. The fabric is nice and I am sure I will get years of entertainment wearing this outfit from the Historical Emporium.

This is a comfortable skirt, but in my opinion it runs a little large. It does not come in petite sizes, which would be really nice as I have to roll up the waist to avoid dragging the skirt on the ground. Hemming it up is an option, but then the proportion of the length of the ruffles wouldn't look as nice in my opinion. One should also know that twill cotton is a heavy fabric, and there is quite a number of yards of fabric in this gathered skirt. So, the skirt is pretty heavy, as they likely were back in the day. It is 100% cotton and I have not laundered the skirt at this writing, so I cannot provide information on potential shrinkage or not or whether the fabric would fade. This skirt looks great and just the period style I was looking for. I would have given it 5 stars if it fit more as expected. The waistband is elastic which helps make it comfortable, and I purchased a wide belt to wear over the waistband to give my outfit a little more of a finished look.

The material is 100 percent polyester, not cotton at all. There is no string to tie the waist band so when you jump in a pool, expect your pants to fall off. I had to buy a shoelace and long needle to thread a waist tie for myself . Very disappointed, no consideration in the planning/ developement stages of this suit at all. A waste of money unless you like cheap materials that fall off you when you use them. Would not even recommend to my enemies

I never saw the real 18th century suspenders, but this looks like i saw in cinema. It is too big for me, i'm going to make it short shortly.

The labcoat is incredible. I know it will be able to take a lot of abuse and last. I cant wait to get another one in black, which is what I originally wanted. However, the red is an amazing color and i am glad i got it.

It is made well and looks great on me. Attention to the design was of highest quality

The Victorian Top Hat is a very top quality product. I was particularly pleased with the exceptional fit and expect to wear the hat for a very long time.

these are very nice and look period correct. the price is excellent and i got them in the mail very quickly. i just wish they had the soft leather version of these...i have some original ones that i think are kid skin, but they are really nice.

I have a hard time buying shirts,coats ,ect.... due to a bit of a belly (not from drinking but diabetic ) plus I am tall through the torso so, finding something that fits properly is a bit of a chore at times . This vest fits me almost like it was tailored for me ,no shirt gap,it closes right,and it looks great .And it has plenty of pockets too . Next up is a top hat and maybe a duster to complete the outfit ,,,oh may need pants and suspenders too .

We were happy with the 1900's bathing suit for our 1920's party. Note they run very very large. A Medium fit a 6 ft 3 in make who weighed 190 pounds. Shorts have elastic waste, but shirt quite long and baggy.

Great head turner of a jacket, well worth the price.

When this arrived i was blown away by the unscrewable head and the sheer beauty of the faux crystal head on it. the shaft itself of maplewood has a good weight to it like small baseball bat the ebony color matches the overall look of the cane despite it being a nobleman's cane it reminds more of something a archmage would be seen with. very happy with purchase must get another cane

I found out that just ordering a size up is enough for the high waist. I initially ordered up too much, and they were way to big. Once I got the right size, and had the length altered, these pants fit great. I received many compliments on the styling. Well made, heavy material, and the lines at the seams matched nicely. And, a big shout out the the folks at Historical Emporium for excellent service. They were wonderful and easy to work with when taking care of my swap for the right size.

The 14 Inch Brass Telescope looks good as part of my "Steampunk Explorer" costume, though I agree with those that have pointed out that the black leather slip case doesn't look as good as the telescope itself. (The slip case leather doesn't look nearly as high-quality as the leather that surrounds the largest segment of the telescope, which actually looks quite "snazzy".) More importantly, the front lens had detached from the end, presumably during shipment, and was just sitting within the telescope when I received it. Fortunately, the lens was still in good shape and the end piece (that it should have been attached to) simply screws off, so I was able to remove the end piece, carefully Gorilla Glue the lens back to the inside of that end piece, and (once the glue had dried), screw it back on to result in a usable telescope. (Though I was originally more concerned that the telescope "look the part" as a component of my costume than that it actually function, I was still glad to see that after my repairs, the telescope actually did function properly.) The detached lens is the only "problem" aspect of anything I've purchased from Steampunk Emporium / Historical Emporium, and my purchases include the Antique Brass Pocket Compass with Hinged Lid and the Articulated Folding Brass Binoculars - Antique Brass, as well as a shirt, vest, tie, and pair of pants. (The clothing, in particular, seems very well constructed.) The 4-star rating, instead of 5 stars, is for the detached lens and the less-than-ideal slip case.

The Folding Binoculars look and function even better than I expected, as part of my "Steampunk Explorer" costume. (Because they're part of a costume, their look was uppermost in my mind when I purchased them. But I was also pleased to see that they magnify the view exactly as advertised, as well.)

The Compass looks great (and, of course, works as it should). The antiqued look gives it just the sort of used-but-functional appearance I was hoping for, as part of my "Steampunk Explorer" costume.
