Fit on these pants is pretty good, but you still need to add about 3 inches to the waist for a more comfortable fit

Fantastic coat. Big enough that I can wear another coat underneath if I need sleeves. Also big enough I can wrap another person up in it to share the warmth. Everything I hoped it would be. Great quality, comfortable lining and nice big pockets.

The web site recommends (in many cases) to order one size up, but that was not true my case. I am currently exchanging for my normal waist size but I'm sure I'm going to love them.

Love this shirt. Pattern and color are excellent. Cut is overly generous in the chest for me. I would prefer a longer underarm seam so as to separate the sleeves from the bodice making it be more comfortable when wearing a suit coat and more tailored. Without a coat it appears too "blousey".

The holster was to big for my Colt 22 revolver even after adjusting the size per the online directions. Was able to put the holster (which fit my Colt 22 revolver) on the belt which came with the holster. Now I has an outfit which is usable. Would like to see holster belts, like the one ordered offered without the holster so that one would not have to order a complete outfit (belt and holster) if one's waist size changed.

Ordered a black ascot from the website and it arrived in the mail a week later. I wore it for the first time and received quite a few compliments. An inexpensive purchase that looks good on me. LOL!

This hat is fabulous! It is everything I hoped it would be. I have always thought I would like a fancy Kentucky Derby hat, and now I have gotten interested in Steampunk and I have found my perfect hat! It is well made and beautifully decorated.

Somehow these gloves are thin but keep my hands warm AND I look fantastic in them. I usually wear all black and these gloves complete my outfit better than any other gloves can.

I had been searching for a quality coat of this cut and design for several years. Then I found this website and this coat. It is totally everything I wanted. I read the reviews prior to placing my order and noticed I think 3 of them commented about the size chart so I ordered mine a size smaller than I had intended. It fits me like a glove. With the detachable cowl you're getting two coats in one at a fantastic price.

Although the boots fit great around the foot, they would not fit going up by muscular calf. I will be returning them, as I cannot zip them up. I would describe the quality as 'good costume'. They are definitely not good enough for everyday where, but appear to be quite good pieces.

This Inverness is an outstanding product! Ordering was easy and it arrived promptly. I've waited to review it because the winter has just been too warm to give it a good wearing, but I recently traveled to a cooler climate and wore it for several days. Its a decent thickness of wool, and where the cape falls, the thickness is doubled. It is quite roomy and intended to be worn with a jacket underneath (it could also easily accommodate a thick sweater or even a heavy jacket if you needed). I wore it with only shirtsleeves and a waistcoat and was perfectly comfortable in upper 30's weather. By the way, when the wind gusts--its spectacular. I want to stress, like most of Historical Emporium products, this is functional clothing--not a costume piece. It appears to be exceptionally well made. This is my second purchase from Historical Emporium and I've been delighted with both and look forward to making many more. I've wanted one of these my entire adult life--but as anyone knows they can be cost prohibitive. A wool Inverness purchased on-line through a Scottish kilt-maker could set you back close to a $900; and when I was in Edinburgh about 10 years ago, I found one in a retail outlet for 375 pounds (north of $600). Historical Emporium offers a very well made product at an incredibly reasonable price. I very much hope they come out with this wool version in other colors--say an nice brown tweed?

I didn't think I would mind that the boots were faux leather, but i did.

Nobody is likely to mistake these pants for a modern design... they are delightfully and remarkably "historical". They really add some pizzazz to an otherwise plain outfit. The comfy material is lighter than other pants I've bought from H.E., but seems sturdy and will be welcome especially when summer rolls around. In contrast to other opinions expressed, I actually found them large for the size quoted . I measured around my belly, and ordered that size, but ended up taking mine to a tailor to be reduced. But very happy with these unique pants, and will order other colours too.

I've purchased vests several times before and have been very pleased. However, this vest was not what I expected and the material was not as nice as others I have purchased. I bought it to wear with my Santa suit but won't be able to use it.
