This was a gift for my husband and he absolutely loved it.

I was looking for a Western Type Holster for a Cowboy Costume. I was taken aback when I realised how much Real Leather worked Holsters went for. I consistantly found them on the Internet for $200 to $800 For Real Quality Holsters. I came across The Historical Emporium website for the "Western" side, and found they had Real Leather Holsters NOT cosplay or FAKE, which were way less expensive, and looked a lot better than most on the web. I paid $125 for the same holster found elswhere for $500. When I recieved it, I tried it on and it fit like a glove. I was really impressed by the workmanship, the feel, and the fit. These are very high quality Leather products. I had called the Emporium to make sure I ordered correctly and Noel was one of the Friendliest People I have ever talked to over the Phone. I would highly recommend these high quality products to anyone who does NOT want to throw there money away. I would have payed 3 to 4 times more for the same thing, I call that a rip off. At least the Emporium and their Staff are stand up People. I will definitely be back.. Thanks guys.

The leather is extremely hard. I have used saddle soap and oil but it is still hard. This makes it difficult to buckle. Further, when the belt is buckled and the holster is placed on the side of my leg the buckle is nowhere near the center of my body. The buckle is3-4 inches to my left side, It is either live with the buckle way off center or have the holster over my cheek (lower)

I purchased these with an "Inverness" coat. I wear them with the Victorian Tailcoat also sold by H.E. These are a little more expensive than other spats on other sites on the 'net but the quality is no comparison. These fit well, button up well & look sharp. I have the white ones which have a nice satin finish. If I decide on another colour, I will be ordering them from these folks. Their delivery turn-around is spectacular. Thanks H.E.

A very nice coat which is VERY large - consider ordering the next size down. I had to make a return on the size I usually order. Otherwise I am very pleased with the quality & workmanship on this item. I use this as a "great coat" (IE: over top of a jacket) Historical Emporium is the fastest delivering service on the internet I have ever encountered. (Having lived in a remote community which necessitated ordering via the internet). Since making this purchase, I have also ordered other items which were just as nice & just as quickly sent. I'll order off these folks first before looking elsewhere.

I am very satisfied with the Homburg hat that I just received. It is sturdy, well-made and looks exactly like the on-line image on Historical Emporium's website. My head measured 23 1/4 inches where the hat would sit, so I ordered a size Large, even though my head measurement was 1/4 inch over the size range for a large. I am pleased to report that the large Homburg fits perfectly. It is a comfortable and well-made hat.

My wife saw a server wearing this belt while we dined at a restaurant on vacation. I asked the server where she bought it (through Amazon). Took some searching to find it. I surprised my wife with the belt as a Christmas gift, and she was surprised/overjoyed to receive it. She has worked with leather as a hobby and says the quality of the belt is good, and the leather an appropriate weight for a belt that is worn around the waist. Kudos to the company for shipping this out very quickly and well in advance of Christmas (and earlier than projected at time of ordering). I would order from HE again.

THis shirt looks and feels great. Works perfect with the Thompson Vest I ordered. Due to the way the lace is placed in the photo, I wasn't expecting the buttons to be as visible as they are. The lace comes laid out flat against the chest and will require some fluffing to get it too look like the image. Worth it in the end.

This hat was present for my son. I was a little worried about the fit, but it was perfect. The color, size and shape are spot on.

This is a well made fully line coat. The tailoring of the coat is very flattering. It does run quite small. I jumped up 2 sizes. It fits perfectly. I have purchased other garments from Historical Emporium and every item has been better than expected and really well finished. I look forward to future shopping for stylish clothing.

Even though this coat is beautiful, I am sending this back for a refund. The coat is not a coat at all. It is like a full length jacket that you would wear with a pantsuit. Not what I thought it was by the picture.

It is well made, a beautiful color, the L fits him well. I have a short dark green cape to wear with a white empire dress, and I think we shall make quite the attractive, older couple.

I like this item because it is unusual and rich-looking without being obvious. The material is thick and tweed-like, and this makes the pattern and colors appear more subtle than the photo might indicate. Unfortunately it also picks up lint rather easily; don't wear it with any item that may shed. But that's the only criticism I have. It's well made. The pattern is well matched, which I often don't find even in more expensive items from higher-end retailers. You must button/unbutton all eight buttons as none are just for show. The fit is good with minimal or no taper. That's good news for those of us who don't have designer bodies. Overall, I highly recommend this.

I wanted one to hand to judges at SASS costume contests. The one I got was from "Blair House" So I had to look it up. The token purports to be from a Silverton bordello called “The Blair House,” which was operated by a madam named “Jew Fanny.” The token is believed to be a hoax, minted in the 1950s or 1960s. There was no “Blair House” in Silverton, and a real brothel token wouldn’t have used words such as this one. But Jew Fanny did exist. Her real name was Fanny Wright, and she ran a small house of prostitution in Silverton into the 1940s. She was one of many prostitutes in Colorado who acted as a nurse during the horrible flu epidemic of 1918. Fanny was born in Pennsylvania, and after arriving in Silverton early in the 19th century, she worked first in a small house in the notorious Blair Street district, according to Allan G. Bird’s book, “Bordellos of Blair Street.” No photos of Fanny are known to exist, but a woman who served as her hairdresser described her: “Fanny was a short plumpish woman with a very pretty face,” the hairdresser told Bird. “She had a pimp named Hans Pavelich, a gambler … Fanny kept him in the finest clothes. After she left Silverton (in 1948), she married Hans.” Fanny died in Salida not long afterward. She was probably in her late 50s or early 60s. Now you know.

I needed something to go with my double watch chain. The antique watch goes in one vest pocket, of course. I needed something for the other pocket. This is perfect. It is beautifully made and actually works pretty well as a compass.

I really like the hat. I would have liked a lining, but for the money it is a great value. I purchased this hat for my wife to ride in. She doesn't particularly like cowboy hats, and living in South Dakota where winds of 20 mph are considered "breezy", she needed something with a string to latch on. I will probably replace the stampede string with another that is of higher quality, the slide does not hold at all. Shipping was quick, even in December. Very happy with the purchase.

Well made and the size guide is spot on. I ordered this vest in the tall size, so I could wear it with contemporary trousers. Vests during this time period were designed to be worn with trousers that are worn up to the belly button, and as such, are too short to wear with contemporary trousers. Contemporary trousers are worn several inches below the belly button. If you want to wear a vest with contemporary trousers, order the tall size.

Everything was excellent with these trousers, except for the way the waist and inner fly button. If you are wearing them, looking down, the overlap opens to the left. In western civilization the overlap should open to the right. Although hidden by the fall front flap, it is a minor point but could be easily corrected by the manufacturer to make them easier to fasten.

I can’t believe how great this coat looks. My wife and I both love it. This is really a big deal for me since I was born without two important senses, fashion sense and gaydar. So something really needs to be beautiful or flamboyant for me to notice. Also thanks for the fast delivery.

The vest is great but it is totally black. What I wanted I was surprised as everything shows the back with a lighter color backing.

My only disappointment was that The pockets are not functional. Editor's note: The pockets on these vests are functional, but are sewn shut to maintain shape during transit. Ordered a size 38 - boyfriend is usually a 39, so I was afraid it might be too tight. The shoulders fit him well. The coat looks great on him. A 40 would be too large in the shoulders, so this ended up being perfect.

This is a beautifully crafted cotton skirt. Soft nice weight. Can easily be worn for dress or play depending on what you wear with it.

These are good pants. They are well-made. For some reason, not the company's fault, I had assumed they were American-made; they are not. They are made in a country where labor is cheap. If you choose to buy them, note that the legs are very slender cut. These were a gift to someone who asked me to return them because he will not wear pants with no belt loops - he's a belt and suspenders kind of guy. Other than these quibbles, they're nice looking well made pants.
