I purchased the Hellfire Vest primarily to complete a Steampunk look to use on Halloween while accompanying my granddaughter in her revels. I was so pleased by the elegance and beauty of it that I couldn't wait for Halloween. I have worn it on several occasions now with either a bowler or a Regency Riding Hat, with and without a suit jacket, with regular trousers and with my Regency Fall Front Trousers. No matter what the outfit everyone compliments the Hellfire. How could they not? Halloween, of course, has now come and gone and yes I wore the Hellfire, my black Bellamy shirt, and regency trousers along with a steampunk "Plague Doctor" mask. One young gentlemen referred to my outfit as "badass." Not bad for an old geezer, huh?

I have been promising myself a tapestry vest for years now. I have lived most of my life in the western US although I am originally from Maryland. I like western fashion, but never had a "Dress Look" until I purchased the Chauncey Waistcoat. When my daughters saw me in my corduroy sports jacket, my Chauncey Waistcoat, an ascot and my big Stetson they both started teasing me about looking for a poker game. I have received compliments for my vest from passers-by on the street! Great fun, great look, great quality - the Chauncey Tapestry Waistcoat.

I purchased these trousers to complete a Regency style look. When I put them on I was transported back to my Navy days and thirteen button pants. I think I talked my son-in-law's ear off about what it was like to wear them. The Regency's were very comfortable and gave me a less rounded silhouette (gotten a bit paunchy since I hit my 60's) which was a bonus I hadn't expected either. All in all a delightful experience that I continue to experience.

What a beautiful vest. The color, the design... everything is near perfect. It is much lighter weight than I expected. In fact, it feels a little bit like a theatrical piece than a quality garment. BUT, is is comfortable and doesn't make you sweat. That is where I get back to the price. A bit expensive for the materials used, but somehow worth it. I wore it with a traditional Bavarian outfit and got a ton of compliments. The design makes it quite versatile

I purchased an extra large, and I could barely force it onto my head and it sat there painfully. They definitely need to expand the range of available sizes. Other than that the hat seemed to be of decent quality.

I am so glad I ordered this jacket from Historical Emporium! It shipped out to me in about 2 days which was incredibly fast. It came packaged very neatly on a hanger and also had plastic covering to protect it from dust, all I had to do was open it and hang it until I was ready to use it. It is exactly as shown on the photo, great material and my husband received many compliments! He wore it as part of a Gomez Addams halloween costume. Great service and great product! Absolutely fantastic! I am a seamstress but did not have time to make my husband a pair so I ordered these. They arrived very quickly and were absolute perfection. The waist size was small so I went up two sizes and they fit him perfectly. I've always had problems getting them long enough for him because he has a 33 inch inseam and these were way longer than he needed so I had to him them which was no problem. I would recommend these pants in fact I have to other members of my community for this purpose. A plus all the way!

Sizing is off -- order several sizes larger, additionally the second leather loop which keeps the larger belt in place is simply often cut too small or to thin. I can be stretched to accommodate the insert, but I feared breaking the leather. I am returning mine.

This is a nice basic duster, it's not lined so there isn't much warmth, but layered up it's fine. It is cut very loose, so if you are between sizes, go smaller. I wish I would have ordered a L instead of XL, but I had the sleeves hemmed and it works well

These goggles are super cool! Wore them with the leather aviator helmet in brown that I also purchased to complete my Amelia Earhart costume. I buffed the espresso brown helmet with a light Italian leather polish so it perfectly matched my leather jacket, and also the goggles. Perfect! Very high quality products - I will have forever. All evening I had people asking me about my costume, they were very impressed. Thank you Historical Emporium - your products are very well made, not party store "stuff" and that contributes so much to authenticity. I will purchase other items in the future.

I got this for my Granddaughter's Halloween costume. She is super happy with the utility belt, it really finished her costume and she could carry all her type 1 diabetes things too. She loves it so much she will be carrying her pump and things in it all the time. She found the pouches big and sturdy and liked the inside zip pocket. The color was just what I wanted and it fit her perfectly. Since she will probably wear it every day I may have to get another one.

Holster fits gun veery good. Barrel does extend past holster, but does not afect the draw. Very satified.

I absolutely love this coat, however, it is either cut very small or I have gained a bit of weight, as it is too small and I was unable to wear it to the event I planned to attend. Unfortunately, I cannot return it because it arrived quite wrinkled and I had to have it cleaned. So, I am hoping that somehow I will lose enough weight to fit into it soon.

Amazing quality and workmanship. this is my fourth order from them and I am never let down. This vest will last for years if not generations. It does run a touch on the larger size. I buy for stage productions and they get quite a beating. but these are well beyond stage quality and will fit nicely into any wardrobe.

I love this blouse. It is perfect!!! The only minor altetation was to re-set buttons on sleeves to get tighter fit. Otherwise, the blouse is perfect for my purpose.

Purchased garnet colored satin skirt. Love it! Did have to alter length -as I'm short. I did realize could have purchased one size smaller, but this was not a problem. Want another in emerald green.

Just Perfect! My boys are 6’ 2”, 5”10 and 5’8” so far, these suspenders fit all of them very well as they are adjustable and comfortable. They would fit some a few inches shorter than 5’8” as well. Because you can slide up the grip bar on the front to shorten them. They are extremely well made too. Very impressive! 5 STAR!

I was nervous ordering without actually seeing these items. But no worries. They are 5 STAR! The trousers I ordered are top of the line! I was also nervous about the sizing. But if you follow the directions you wont be disappointed. My grandsons wear the same size in pants but different sizes in trousers. The directions say to go by the upper waist measurement only. So I did exactly that. One grandson wears a 34” in pants, but that is not what you should order. Because he actually measured 36” three inches above his waist. So I ordered a 36. They fit him perfectly! Another one wore at 34” in pants too, but measured 38” three inches above his waist. So I ordered a 38”. Again perfect fit! These trousers have a few inches of ease built into them, just like ever other pair of pants. Which you will need if you plan to walk sit or bend. So do not order you normally size. Order your measured size three inches above the waist for a comfortable fit. These trousers are the best I’ve come across. They are extremely well made and will last a life time for civil war reenacting. The only thing I have to do is remove the sewn on tag on the back. I also order suspenders. They were perfect 5 STAR as well!

I ordered this for Halloween. It was a hit. Everywhere I went people loved it. Very well made. The material is a nice weight. I got the M/L. I am 6'0" 180 pounds. I took the tightest button adjustment and it fits great.

Comfortable and well made shirt! It looked great and felt good, and the size was just as it was stated in the fitting guide. Well worth the money, it's now in my costume arsenal.

I have a 1851 Navy colt "Yank" .44 cal. 7.5" barrel and it fits well. Because of the newness of the leather, it has taken some time to mold the leather to the feature of the weapon. Once complete I plan on treating the interior of the holster with leather dressing for a smoother draw. Tie-down is stiff but will soften with dressing.

Sleeves and tale could be longer. Neck needs to be wider, way to tight to button the top button and I am not a big girl. Well made, new gold buttons changed it from western look to steampunk. Fabric is heavier then I thought it would be based on past other purchases. It's been washed twice now and has an interesting texture and does not need ironing, yay!
