Everything I have purchased from Historical Emporium has been expertly made and beautifully crafted. The fabrics used are absolutely perfect, the workmanship in the garment's construction is perfect, and the fit and look of the things I have bought has been also- perfect. I am embarrassed to say I have been taken in by price cutting websites too many times. When my items have arrived from the unnamed-foreign-price- cutting -website-country--- I have found the product ordered to be sub-standard and often unusable. My point being- don't mess around- if you want beautiful period clothing- buy from Historical Emporium and you will be so very glad you did.

This prairie skirt is so practical--it looks vintage but without the fuss. No need to iron. Purchased this as part of a costume for employees which is great since it's one size fits all.

I've been wearing these in black now for almost 2 years, so when I bought these I knew I'd be getting excellent boots! I wear clothes such as these every day, and everyone tells me they like these even better than they like the black ones. This style of boot really looks good with spats, so I'm really looking forward to expanding that aspect of my wardrobe. All in all very happy with my purchase as I knew I would be.

I purchased this on sale to use in my profession--historical interpretation--but I love it so much that I'm going to wear it in my personal life too! It would have been worth it even at full price. As I mentioned in the review title: it's a very tailored fit but it is sized exactly as advertised. I purchased a size small/10 and it's the perfect fit for me (height: 5' 4", 127 lbs, small chested female). I like the shade of black with the right amount of military detailing (unlike the description said, it's not a lot of "brassy bling"); it's understated which makes it look more authentic. The Kinsey Military Jacket deserves all five stars.

Love it, but I should have measured myself better I thought I would need a larger size. Nothing wrong with the belt just me. I would tell everyone to order this. The tooling on it is beautiful.

Nicely made with good material. I have had to sew back on a couple of buttons that were not secured. Sizing is a little different (I am standard size 10 in Australia) and I have had to have this taken IN so I would suggest double checking the sizing chart. Great service, website is easy to follow. My parcel arrived in good time but the postage was expensive for weight ratio. I would like to see more specials (of course) and perhaps review cost of postage ($50 is a lot for a skirt America to Australia).

I was delighted to find that this hat has an inner elastic band that is adjustable and allows the hat to be custom fitted to the head. Both stylish and comfy, I expect it to stay on even in a wind with this feature.

I've never been disappointed with any Historical Emporium product....until I ordered these trousers. The striping / colouring is great....but the pants are really long waisted (reaching the bottom of ribcage) and, after washing, heavily wrinkled and stiff as canvas. They'll need more than a good pressing to look good ....maybe rolling over with a steam roller! I WILL STICK TO WAHMAKER AS MY TRIED AND TRUE BRAND OF PANTS. They didn't come in humboldt stripe so I ordered this brand. Bad move. Maybe the manufacturer could consider pre-washing the material (stone-washed?) using some kind of softening agent before cutting and assembling these pants. Having washed them, I will keep them, but cut and sew them into a vest instead. Too hard and stiff for my comfort level.

Somewhat pricey for a bit of shaped cloth....but otherwise, scarf is well constructed, nicely shaped, and carefully cut and sewn. Quality product.

Received holster the I ordered in a timely manner, but even though it looks OK, my pet chiwahwah is scared to death of it. I know what I'm about to tell you is foolish but I've had something bad happen every day it has been in my house. Maybe it just coincidence but I'll briefly explain. Hole in my home's vinyl, knocked off my glasses and ran over them, put a bad dent in the door of my new car, and while taking a new fishing rod outfit out of a closet to give as a gift to my grandson the ceiling fan blade broke the rod. This all happened in first or 3 days I had it. Moved it to my shop. Spooky ain't it.

Gun belt and holster are great. Quality is 100% awesome. Sizing is accurate, but I ordered based on where I thought it would sit on my hips - turns out it is too big. I’ll need to shorten it a few inches to make it fit properly, but this is my fault not the manufactuerers or vendors fault. Don’t hesitate to purchase if you need a gun belt the quality is top notch.

The sleeves were a little long, but then, I'm 5' 7". It fit perfectly everywhere else, and I just rolled the sleeves up a bit. When I get time I may have them hemmed up a bit. But since I was wearing the elbow-length industrial gauntlets over it, the sleeves weren't a problem. This thing looks terrific - I may have to buy them in other colors, but when you wear the white one everyone immediately knows you're a scientist/doctor (I got it for a steampunk mad scientist costume). It's a fairly heavy material, but it's loose enough for good airflow, and I didn't get overheated in it. It was exactly what I needed and wanted, and my costume was quite popular. Thanks!

Wow, this tailcoat is great. I'm a professional full time actor and I was hired to perform a historical play. A red tailcoat was required and I spent a good month visiting costume shops in person and online looking for one. Tried on many and they were almost always single layer, no lining, no pockets, poor quality and $300 and up. Saw this one and even though I could not try it on The price was too good to pass. It arrived quickly and as soon as I pulled it out of the box I was stunned by the quality. Thick quality tailcoat, two nice pockets inside and looks very historically accurate as opposed to the clownish bright red carnival circus type jackets that are offered at other costumers. I was really impressed, then I tried it on.....Too small! I ordered a large which would normally fit me, but this large seemed a bit smaller then what I'm used to. I sent it back and ordered the XL with NO PROBLEMS AT ALL! a quick and easy exchange and the new one fit like a charm! I had not enough time to do a return/exchange so I just bought an xl and mailed back the L and it all worked out well. A few days after they received my L I got my refund. I definitely recommend this jacket. Large fits slightly smaller then standard sizes Is darker in color then it appears on the website. expedited shipping is FAST! Looks great with the Penworth ascot and a proper full sized top hat!

I definitely feel like a Wright brother. I got it for painting, but now it's just something I wear inside while I engineer and computer. It's a phenomenal color and material. It's Irish linen from a NY hat company. I will definitely be buying a few more at this great price. The size is good. It stretches to an adults head.

Love the shirt, the fit is great and the look is exactly what I wanted. I found out at the cleaners that it needs to be dry cleaned because it does not open up in front and can't fit on the ironing device they use. So it costs a little more to get cleaned. No biggie but something to consider I suppose.
