Love this vest. Very unique style. High quality material and great for every day wear. Also a great price compared to many “similar” vests. This does fit a little shorter on me than pictured, but it’s a great looking vest.

LOVE this dress. Personally this is something that I will be able to wear all the time. The quality is excellent. This is not like a costume at all, but is a great dress. For me this fit true to what my size normally is. I originally sized up using the measurements but then needed to exchange for my usual size. Exchanging was quick and easy.

I'm fairly sure that I took my measurements correctly, but the Medium seemed too large (I have a 7-1/8 hat that fits me well, and several hats in Medium that fit me well by different manufacturers). I know the style is supposed to be baggy, but I thought I had about a centimeter or so of give, and the brim was noticeably wide my face. I might have asked to exchange it for a small, but I feared the small might be too small, and the brown tweed wasn't quite what I wanted when I saw it real life. The picture is pretty accurate, but the weave has specks of turquoise in it, which I just didn't think looked right. HOWEVER: If it fits you and you like the look of the weave, it's a VERY nicely made hat. I order from Historical Emporium because I like styles that society has unwisely decided to abandon, not because I like to wear costumes, and Historical Emporium sells real clothes in these styles. This is one of them.

WE are using these for our production of Mary Poppins for all of the lead ladies. I was concerned about sizing and comfort. The ladies are now rehearsing in their shoes and we have had no problems.They do have to have high socks on with these as the girls are not used to having anything around their ankles. One of my girls does have a bigger ankle and cannot lace it up all of the way. We may have to use black elastic.

We are using these for a musical theatre stage play of Mary Poppins for the Jolly Holiday song to be worn with the white and red dress. I was concerned about the sizing but both of my Mary's say they are comfortable. They have been wearing them for rehearsals. They do require socks especially since these shoes being worn for dancing.

Very striking shade of blue - gets lots of comments. I love the shirt. The pewter buttons are a really nice touch, and it just looks terrific.

Just what I was looking for. Not as tall as some of your other offerings. Just the right size. Much better than the plastic covers that came with my St. Nicholas outfit. My western boots just didn't look right, even here in western Nebraska.

I ordered this piece to hold my cravat during my living history programs, as I had lost my Great Grandfather's pin at one of my Civil War reenactments. This new one is not of the same design for "pinning"; but, it sure is a lot more secure. I was amazed at how stunningly beautiful the piece is and I have had many compliments about my appearance while wearing it. It is quite the attention getter.

The Gillespie Brushed Cotton Frock Coat that I ordered is a handsome, manly, well constructed burgundy frock coat that is attractive and fits well. The color is striking, though not quite as bright a burgundy as seen on the website. Darker by two shades than the website image, the color is rich and eye-catching. The fabric is heavy, and feels as though it will be warm and durable. I’m proud to add it to my wardrobe of period attire. I bought this Xmas gift for my husband thinking it was like the old LL Bean duster coats. Unfortunately it wasn't at all like those coats. There were about 12 buttons to button to put this on - really impractical. The fabric may have been as described but this was not going to work for my husband.

Superb product. Well made of good material and fits live a glove.I will order again from Historical Emporium! I am not a small man and due to my size the vest was a special order. However, it arrived well before the estimated delivery date. I am very please with quality, price, and fit. in addition, I get many comments on how natty the vest looks on me!

I needed a proper walking stick and this one is spot on. Solid and well made, and the price is reasonable. Most useful for fending off dogs and ruffians on my daily walk.

I've always been very pleased with the quality and price of these petticoats. I am a costume designer, and the first set I bought years ago are still in terrific shape after repeated washing.

Best fitting cowboy hat I've ever had. It is soft and fits my head well (not like those starched cowboy hats that feel like bricks on your head). I'm hoping you get a white or tan one some day.

Beautiful color and very nice fabric. It does seem to run a little large, but it's definitely worth the price.
