I get lots of complements when I wear the high waisted trousers I get from Historical Emporium. I have several different pairs. The Callahan dress trousers are particularly sharp when paired with the vest. Does require hemming due to length, but that is very affordable at a local tailor. The retro style allows me to be comfortable in just short and pants, but not too casual. Perfect.

Never been much into the color green but this vest is great looking. Fit perfect and would highly recommend.

These suspenders are strong yet - not too wide - the leather is supple yet strong. Generally speaking they're the quality one would have enjoyed 20 years ago so to find them is a treasure. Very satisfied.

It's an okay tie, just shiny in the light from the metallic thread. I bought it on sale and I'm not to disappointed about it but the shine does marginalize its use.

Great Price and fits great. I have not worn this hat to an event yet however I can already tell you that I love this hat over the Coachman's that I have previously purchased couple of months ago. Coachman's hat feels cheaply made compared to the John Bull which is Ironic when you compare the prices.

I was expecting this collar to be a starched stiff collar, which is what I was looking for. It's definitely not. The collar arrives unstarched. Also, the sizing is way off. The size chart shows a size "L" is for a 16"-16.5" neck. I have a 16" neck and ordered the size "L". The collar was very large and would easily fit a 18" neck. The service, from Historical Emporium, was fantastic though. My order shipped extremely fast and was well packaged.

Better quality than I expected but I recommend going down a size instead of going up if you are in between sizes. But the belt and holster are beautiful.

This blouse was perfect for what I needed. Working at a museum I sometimes need to dress in costume on certain occasions and this will be perfect for those times. It fit true to size so stick to the size chart and you'll do just fine. I will recommend Historical Emporium to the rest of my staff.

When I ordered this vest I made two mistakes - I did not read the reviews first and I ordered it late at night when I wasn't feeling well. If you avoid these mistakes, you will soon find yourself in possession of a wonderful, show stopper of a vest. If you do make these mistakes, don't fret! Returns are easy and customer service is wonderful. Definitely order a size up. I'm normally a medium, but the large fits wonderfully. There's a little bit of a gap under the arm where I don't fill out the bust as intended, but that's an easy fix. The fabric is gobsmacking, the cut is to die for and...yes. Not a single regret to be had.

I've wanted a classy black and white striped vest for ages, so when I saw this one during the vest sale I had to snag it. At first I ordered a small, because I was having a sick, brainless moment (I'm normally a medium). Having then read some reviews on other vests that suggested this one might run small, I waited for my package to find out whether I would be calling and asking for one size up or two. I did not have to wait long at all. The small not only didn't fit, it didn't come close, so one very pleasant call to customer service later I packaged up my goof-up and shipped it back in favor of a large. The new vest is beautiful. It fits wonderfully, with the exception of a small amount of gaping at the underarm, courtesy of my nice, boyish figure. This will take about five seconds with a sewing machine to fix. Seriously, tiny alteration. Everything else, the length, the waist, you name it, is utterly perfect. I really recommend this vest. Truly. It's classic, timeless, and well constructed from sturdy fabric. If you take care of it, it will take care of you, your daughter, and your grand daughter, just the way well made clothing should.

Excellent fit, material, and quality of construction.

This holster isn't as long as I was led to believe. I have an 8" 1858 Remington New Army and the tip of the barrel sticks out of the bottom at least an inch. Other than that the holster is high quality. Just wish it was a little longer!

This is a very well made vest. Great Quality!! It looked to us like an Olive Green when we looked at it online on a couple of computers before ordering. It is almost brown. I would have preferred it more green...but I'll wear it. Just have to buy a shirt that will match with it....

I am seeking to have these lenses altered in order to experience this piece with the ability to keenly focus on the object of low proximity. The lenses in this work just do not seem to function in accordance with magnification efforts as put forth by the adjustment nodes in between the eye pieces. Nevertheless, the craftsmanship of this piece is simply impeccable. If the lenses actually worked, I would be thoroughly pleased.
