i’ve bought these shirts in every color! they’re fantastic! occasionally, i’ve received a shirt with buttons that are loose & these have to be re-sewn before wearing; otherwise, you’ll be trying to replace an irreplaceable button; thick cloth! great items!

This is a marvelous shirt. I am a big girl and have difficulty finding clothing to fit. This is a size 28 and it's as though they used my own measurements to make the shirt. It's comfortable, it's pretty. I also bought one in black. I could wear these for everyday wear, I love them so much

These trousers run pretty small. Ordered my size and had to send them back and get 2 sizes larger. Great service though.

My order arrived very quickly. The shawl is awesome. I love the beading and the peacock detail. In between wearing the shawl, it is drapped over an armchair for display.

Not a bad vest. Not something you'd wear to a wedding. A work vest. Heavy, strong cotton. Durable. Looks a lot neater and formal in the pic.

It's one of the best fitting hats I have! Not one I'd wear out in the heat of the sun all day, since it gives no protection from that. A fine old west dress hat, nonetheless........

I ordered the blouse for an event with a vintage style show. Very happy with the fit and quality. I'll use it many times in the future at a Victorian Museum.

I've purchased shirts and trousers from Gentleman's Emporium for many years and have mostly been satisfied with the quality. Even though the garments are not historically accurate, they work for my music gigs, festivals, and working around the home. The last couple of orders I've received may indicate quality control has slipped. The website said these Stewart Trousers are 95% cotton and 5% Spandex. When the package arrived it was so thin it felt like there was a shirt inside. It was disappointing to see the tag on the trousers read 64% Polyester, 34% Rayon, and 2% Spandex. They did update the website to show the correct material content. Way overpriced for synthetic pants and I wouldn't wear them if they were given to me.

I'm a professional Santa and I bought this for a beach vacation this year. Overall I like the product. It fits true to size, looks great, and my XXL was roomy enough for my ample Santa stomach. The fabric is a bit sheer, so I also bought (elsewhere) red underpants and undershirt. The only criticism I have is that the pants have a very low-rise waist, so it rides like old hip-hugger jeans. However, the top comes down to mid-thigh so the waist is well covered... it just feels a bit uncomfortably low. But I'm old, so what I find uncomfortable you may not. Overall very glad I found this.

I loved this coat when I first saw it on HE modeled with some trousers I was interested in. While I tend only to purchase natural fiber fabrics, I was very pleased with the look and feel of this blend! I was especially happy that it is a lighter/medium weight fabric than it may appear in the photos. But it's not an inexpensive feeling lightness -- it has a very nice hand. I already have long coats for cold weather wearing here in the PNW, so this one is absolutely perfect for spring, and even summer and fall. I'll be wearing it a lot! This coat is nicely constructed, and will likely hold up for my lifetime. The only negative is the plastic buttons. For me, they detract from the otherwise elegant look of this coat, but the price point for such a fine garment was very reasonable. I did replace them with some nice leather buttons, which likely would have added a lot to the shipped price, but make a big difference in the overall effect.
