Purchased for Horace Vandergelder in Hello Dolly; we decided it was time to build our late Victorian costume stock by investing in a few quality pieces. Unfortunately, this jacket reads dark green, not true grey. Also it was folded for so long that there are deep creases where the shoulder padding meets the front of the jacket that I don't would come out without major steaming. I plan to exchange for a wool frock coat, assuming the 40R works for this long-armed actor; otherwise will have to use this one in black (due to the unfortunate greenish tinge of the grey cotton).

Happy with the hat and I received.it without any delay a very good company to work with.

I needed something warm to bike to banks and other businesses. Biking out fits don't cut it. Paired with over the knee wool socks and a nice vest and overcoat, these knickers fit the bill. The wool content isn't as great as I'd hoped for, but the synthetic lining makes peddling comfortable.

I needed a smoking robe for my private brewery bc it's in my basement and it's cold down there. When I put my Historical Emporium smoking robe on, BAM 💥, I was IT and everyone knew it. It's warm, stylish, and fits perfectly! The sizing chart was spot on. Do yourself a favor and order yours today!

I just wanted a different old west look. I'm getting a ton of compliments. It feels good on my head. I look awesome. I have lost a lot of weight due to surgery so I put a couple strips of felt in the sweat band to make it a little tighter on my head.

High quality thick and should last a long time

This coat is for a production of Pride and Prejudice for the character of Mr. Darcy. It makes him look very elegant!

These are soon going to be replacing my jeans as my go-to trousers. The fabric is a great weight, all the studs are secure, and the pockets are awesome! Accidentally ordered the wrong size and the folks at Historical Emporium responded to my email very quickly and made sure to send me the size I had intended to buy. Also, I really appreciate that the inseam is gigantic, ensuring that folks of all heights can finish the ends appropriately. The sinching buckle in the back allows for a flattering silhouette, lol. These are great, and I hope to one day order a pair for warm weather as well as more formal occasions.

This vest is well-made of high-quality materials. It has an elegant look that I like. The fit is true to size and consistent with the other vests that I have bought from this company. I have no complaints about the vest and I recommend it. I look forward to wearing mine regularly.

Finally got the right size for Husband ( my mistakes totally) We went a size up to have a layering option.

Overall it is indeed a lovely suit, well tailored, and rich quality. Unfortunately the problem I encountered was that I was sent the wrong fit. I had ordered a size regular fit and instead was sent a slim fit. On the website there no reference to the suit being a slim fit, nor did I order such. When I called to discuss the matter I was told this was what the "manufacturer" sent. I since have returned the suit in hopes that I may get the appropriate sizing, cause I truly look forward to being able to own and wear the suit.
