Compare to other Historical Emporium products, I often find the coats and tailcoat to be a little less impressive than the rest. For this one, its mostly the fact that the lining is very loud when you move around. Otherwise, it is still a pretty good product and the fit is nice. The customer service is amazing.

I bought this for my daughter's Heritage .22 single action revolver with a 6.5 inch barrel. Reading reviews and seeing the price I was skeptical and anticipated having to return it when it arrived. I ordered this (and two others for a .357 Super Blackhawk 6.5" barrel and and a .44 mag Super Blackhawk 7.5" barrel) and the online order was very easy for me, despite the website looking older then most found today (I struggle to order amazon crap effectively). I ordered the sizing of the belt as directed on the website and after submitting the order, I got an email saying it would arrive in 10 days approximately, and a tracking number (this was on Thursday night at 1900 ish) A big blizzard storm blew in the next day and by Saturday we had a foot of snow. To my amazement, I received an email informing me they would arrive before noon. And they did! They were packed excellently. After opening I was stunned by the quality. I couldn't hardly talk for a min. The revolvers fit like a glove! I put them on one by one and they fit exactly as stated on the website. I was so impressed and shocked I actually called Historical Emporium that minute and left a very long voicemail gushing about how shocked and happy and thankful I was for them. This is the best purchase I've made in 40 years. If you are considering purchasing anything from Historical Emporium, have no concerns. My husband had two safari jackets that he purchased from a large sporting goods store years ago. They have been worn to tatters, but are no longer available. While searching for ones like them I came across Historical Emporium and the safari jacket here looked very similar. I received it much sooner than expected and was pleased that the fabric is even sturdier than what he had previously. It fits him well and he's very happy with it.

I bought this because I have a matching vest, I will be putting together an outfit for attending events, and this bag will be perfect!

I have a vest in the same pattern fabric, this matches perfectly, I will be using this to carry all my bits and bobs to events, and to hold purchases and stuff while attending events.

I was expecting a somewhat more water repellent fabric. Not a “slicker,” or something oil-skin, but something with a slight coated quality. This duster is unlined. Plus, the shoulders, and armholes are not large enough to wear over a sport coat, or dress suit coat. I’m keeping both dusters, and wearing them with jeans. But, they’re not great. Just barely adequate.

My reenactment involves light hiking so I was afraid to get a pretty white blouse that would show every speck of dirt. I really liked the pinstriped blouse for its crisp appearance and slight formality compared to a colored blouse. I found it ran a little smaller than I expected, possibly because it is shaped more than less tailored blouses. The next size up was perfect. I love the sleeves and the beautifully gathered back yoke. It looks fantastic with the black walking skirt, and goes beautifully with my various silver vintage belt buckles on black cloth belts. I originally chose it because it reminded me of a Victorian-look pinstriped blouse with front ruffles and puffed sleeves that I already owned, but the front ruffles had serger-stitched edges - which just looked wrong. This blouse looks perfect - every bit as good as I hoped for!

A walking skirt is the key piece for my reenactment and this one is great! Nice heavy twill makes it hang and move very nicely. I have a pattern for a walking skirt, but it made so much more sense to buy this one. I do have to shorten it, but no big deal. It's already pinned up so all I have to do is sit down and stitch up the hem. I have two pairs of boots that have different height heels so I want to be sure the skirt length works for both. Or better yet, I should order a second skirt from you so I can have a longer skirt for the dressy boots and a slightly shorter one for the walking boots. I think I like that solution!

I found that this made a great corset cover, but seemed a bit short to go under the corset as a camisole or chemise. The pretty ruffles belong on top of the corset anyway as far as I'm concerned. Nicely made with good fabric.

Product is well made and fits almost perfectly, the sleeves are too long but that's what one expects from non tailored clothing. I bought it primarily for daily wear but also for the occasional living history event. Other than trying it on I haven't had the opportunity to wear it out.

Initially I ordered the medium Leather Aviator Helmet in Black. The sizing chart was used. Anyhow, I ordered the Large which arrived quickly and fit well. I looked up the return policy and followed the directions. The return was received and credit processed in short order. On the helmet itself I found the strap buckle arrangement to be cumbersome. So I had my tailor convert the strap with velcro, added a piece to the helmet and eliminated the buckle. Works quite well.

I bought the wool version of this for winter. This cotton version is a perfect light version.

I love it, except there is no difference between the navy blue and the black. Now I wish I chose the red.

I'm impressed! Much better made than I expected. This will work well with my collection of hats; pirate, detective, western, the shadow, etc. As far as the fit goes, it's just rite for my 6' 3" - 211lb frame.
