Parasols were an absolute necessity for young ladies during the Victorian Era, as having a suntan was considered a sign of coarse breeding. Our fine lace parasol could have been seen in any fine ladies hand as she strolled through the park with her beau.

Parasol measures 26 inches long and canopy measures approximately 30 inches in diameter when opened. Features a latch to keep parasol open or closed. 100% cotton canopy, including lace. Imported. Matching fan is also available.

Lace Parasol
Is beautiful! It is sturdy, well made as well. My friend fell in love with it the instant she saw it (and I did too)... I guess she will buy herself one soon enough. Also, is easy to close. I definitely recommend this article!

In your photo, the parasol canopy appeared to be solid for sun protection (as advertised) , however, it had decorative holes, which allowed the sun rays to shine through. My wife needs full protection, so I had to return it. The USPS cost of return was $17.00+, which I had to pay out of pocket. I thought that there should have been a return label enclosed in the box, but NO !! So obviously I will not be purchasing any more of your nice products online. This experience with Historical Emporium cost me $17.00+. The parasol was quite pretty, but not functional.

The Ivory Battenberg Lace Parasol is the absolute perfect accessory for my Victorian era clothing and matches the Vesper Boots very nicely ~ (I have both items in black, white and ivory). I am very pleased with the quality of all that I've purchased from Historical Emporium as well as the timely manner in which things were shipped. The metal catch once you push the umbrella up to open is thinly made and bends easily. It has bent on the black lace parasol purchased from this company. I am wary the same thing will happen on the ivory lace parasol.

Beautiful!
I am getting married in June of 2014 and since the these to the wedding is going to have a Victorian theme I thought that this would be absolutely perfect for the wedding pictures and practical usage since the wedding will be held outside on Mackinac Island. I also ordered the Battenberg Lace Fan in Ivory which was also perfect as well. I am so impressed with the quality I am going to order the same items in red for my bridesmaids!

I was very excited when I first saw the Parasol. Then I opened it to see plastic on the opening mechanisim and there are threads everywhere on the lace. I guess for the price it is okay.

Undoubtedly the most feminine accessory I have. All my lady friends ooh and ahhh over it and want their own! Hats are hot and it does protect us from the direct light.
