If you need an inexpensive pocket watch to complete your Western outfit, this one will serve the purpose. I have only had it for several weeks. So far it keeps good time. It comes with an extra battery and a nice velour bag to keep it in.

I've wanted a pocket watch for ages, but all I could afford in the past was a cheap spring that over wound with seven half twists of the stem. Needless to say when I discovered you had pocket watches at a price I could afford (I am, admittedly, in a better financial place than I have been) the question rapidly became "which one to get?" I went with this one for the colour (silver and copper are my personal favorites), the aesthetic of the classic roman numerals, and the fact that you don't have to actually open the watch to check the time (convenient for a quick glance). It arrived very well packaged, is lovely in person, and came with very clear instructions for care, winding, etc.

Needless to say, this one I could wind without it breaking. You do indeed get what you pay for.

This is a nice watch however I will agree with the other review. The hands do get lost in the skeleton display. The more I look at it I do get use to it.

This is a pretty great watch. I like the closed face, which will help me to keep the viewing "glass" immaculate, and just looks nifty when you're opening it up to look. It was had for a pretty good price too, although for anything less I would start to be suspicious about its quality. Now, the one thing I dislike is that the face is not entirely closed. It has a small "window" in the center so you can look through easily and check the time, but to me, this pretty much defeats the purpose of a closed-face watch. Also, from time to time it requires cleaning because of this feature. Dust from my pocket gets into it and has to be wiped off. If I can find a way to put a little piece of metal of the same color inside the "window" and seal it somehow, I will absolutely do that. I wish H/E would have just carried an entirely closed-face watch in the first place. However, I was not misled by anything about the product listing. I knew full-well that the face was partially open when I ordered it, but this was the closest thing to what I actually want so it was good enough. I have some very specific criteria for a pocket-watch, but once again, it's a great watch and I'm glad I bought it, but if I can mod it to close the face entirely in a way that looks good, I totally will.

The watch is excellent. For the low price, this watch is a durable, and reliable accessory. It looks good, not at all like some cheap knock off or gaudy trinket. The window on the cover is convenient, and opening the cover reveals a clear and easy to read face ( I've had watches where the design on the face makes it hard to find the hands to tell time quickly. That's a sure fire way to end up collecting dust and never getting used). It came with an extra battery, an added bonus.

Some would say that getting a true wind up watch is better, more authentic. I like the simplicity of a modern watch. Set your time and there is nothing else to worry about.

What you see is exactly what you get and more. This piece gave the feel of stepping back in time a bit. It looks very elaborate and yet lasting. I purchased this watch as a 50th birthday gift for my brother. I was so happy to find it on this website, as I had no luck locating many pocketwatches at local jewelers, and what I did find did not compare in style to this watch. This watch was exactly what I had in mind, and as stated by another reviewer, it was better in person than on the website! I couldn't have been more pleased with the ordering or delivery, and the watch itself is exquisite, was a big hit as a gift, my brother loved it.

I love it. Works like a charm, little sag after each day before rewinding though but nothing much. It's also smaller then I imagined but no big deal.
I carried it with me to work for two days and it worked very well. The pin on the chain worked very well on my sweatpants and I got a lot of nice compliments.
Has to be rewound every day but you just twist the top so that's easy.

If you like pocket-watches then I do recommend it. It's also more stylish then the gold one. More "Classy" less "Bling" over it.

i had this watch for a couple of months i took care of it like loved it like a son, then it slowly broke down it got to the point where it would only take one half turn to wind it.i sent it off to be fixed and it needed to have its entire mechanisim replaced due to all the parts were warn down.

The watch is a beauty to behold and opens on both sides to reveal its intricate inner workings. Keeps time well too.
