Color was not right for us!

I got the vest to go with the black/red cape I already have. It is a perfect accessory. It looks luxurigous but is light weight enough so as not to be too hot. That is a factor in Texas when you have multiple layers.

I wish the vest was longer- other than that happy with purchase

I first discovered Historical Emporium a few years ago when I wanted a special look for my daughter's wedding. This latest purchase is just for an old time look with no special occasion in mind. The vest is very nice and true to size. I wasn't crazy about the fabric covered buttons, but I was able to change them out for some nice vintage style antique silver buttons.

Our grand daughter has chosen the theme of late Victorian for her wedding. Her colors are red and Gold. The first coat, shirt and pants that I ordered were too big and I needed to return them for the next smaller size. The exchange was accomplished within 5 days. A company rep. was very helpful when I called about the problem. The replacement garments are a good fit although I will need a small alteration to the vest because my middle is larger than my chest. Quality & workmanship of clothing is excellent and I expect that they will last for many years.... and Never go out of style. Thank you! I plan to order additional items in future.

I added this Black Drake Vest to round out my collection of Red and Blue Drake Vests. As I stated in my River Trail Vest - Blue review, this rounds out my collection and allows for selecting the best for any occasion.

Wore this shortly after receipt, along with the Blue Tahoe Satin Puff Tie, over a white shirt = Red, White, and Blue. Happy 4th of July! all in one simple statement. And the design is quite eye appealing.

We purchased four of your Drake vests for our barbershop quartet. Since we had some demanding size requirements we were really pleased to have a broad array of sizes with which to work. The vests were well constructed and provided a look of elegance for our members. We are very pleased with our purchase.

This vest is a lot like the Dragon vest only in black. The materials and sizing is the same. It's a little too long and a little tight at the waist, but it manages to fit me well enough.

I feared the vest would have look cheap or a piece best worn in Halloween. Yet, the material and look is certainly worth the peice of admission. It can be readily worn without feee it looks like a cheap cosplay garment. The process was seamless with very quick delivery to the northeast

This is a beautiful vest with nice lines. I have not worn it as often as I planned because both welt pockets are stitched in the middle, and though the description suggests they would hold a watch, the remaining gap is too small. Since a fob watch is a common accessory for such a vest, this was disappointing. The vest is otherwise very good.
Editor's note: Pockets are sewn shut for transit and can be fully opened with a seam ripper upon receipt.

I purchased the vest for my husband for Christmas. He loves the covered buttons. He plays the guitar, and was impressed by the covered buttons because they will not scratch his guitar. He loves the color and cut of the vest. And it looks great on him!!

Ordered this vest for my daughter. It arrived incredibly fast, the fit was was perfect, and the design was exactly as described and pictured. She was very pleased and received several complements.

I ordered the vest and received it on time and was very pleased with the order. Actually I ordered it from this website and it was just like the picture. The only thing that I have against it that I ordered a large where it fits tight. I think I could have purchased a XL instead. I would like to say to anyone that please know your correct size and if possible order a size up. But after all it accented my suit very well. I thank you Historical Emporium for helping me out.

I sized this according to my chest measurement and found it to be too big. I didn't have time to exchange it so I had a tailor take it in and now it fits better. Be careful with the sizing, and perhaps these run a little big. Take some accurate measurements, talk to the customer service folks, see what they think before you place your order.

This looks very handsome, feels a little bit like a costume piece with some of the finishing. Given the price, I wouldn't expect anything to feel like a short cut on this, but I'm only taking one star.

Without a coat, this is a really ostentatious waistcoat. Be warned. It's an attention getter. With a coat over top, I get the splashes of gaudiness that I was looking for, lurking beneath a bit of classy modesty.

The weight of this is really light, probably the kind of waistcoat you're looking for in warmer climates.

Sizing was right on, fast shipping, really have to look hard but this vest does have Chinese dragons on it....love it! Will continue to buy from this company.

This style runs larger than the canvas so despite the gracious return policy I gifted it to a much appreciative friend!

This is a good vest; well made from decent materials. Should get 5 stars, but for the pockets. They are way too shallow. Main reason I bought the vest was to accessorize with an antique pocket watch. The standard railroad pocket watch barely fits in the pocket. Another 1/2 to 1 inch depth would make this 5 star.
