I'm happy with the purchase, although I afterwards saw it on another vendor website (less).

I bought a pair of these as props for a community theater production of Henrik Ibsen's play, Hedda Gabler, and overall I am pleased. Hedda's matched set of pistols are crucial to the plot, and have a symbolic meaning that requires them to be, in a word, sexy! These are very large, heavy pistols whose weight makes handling them seem natural, and the silver finish makes them instantly recognizable as weapons on stage. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that they have functional loading rams beneath the barrel. But though my two pistols are visually similar, it is obvious that they came from different production runs. One is well constructed, and the action is as precise as any genuine firearm. The other is sloppy, and the barrel moves around disconcertingly as it is handled. These are clearly best suited as display pieces, rather than action props, and there is even a note included in the packaging that warns about not firing them too much!

The pistol has great weight and action as advertised. I was disappointed that dummy bullets could not readily be added to the pistol.
