Statesman Walking Stick - Brass

Assistant Professor

Item: 003559

Availability: Sold Out

For centuries, the walking stick has been carried as a symbol of power and authority, much more so than a simple crutch. A fine specimen, our Statesman Walking Stick lays down the law in late 19th and early 20th century style.

Crafted from genuine Rosewood, a hard and durable timber, our sophisticated staff is finished with a dark brown, nearly black, stain and glossy top coat. Completing the 36-inch long walking stick is an ornately cast brass handle, brass ferrule (the metal ‘bracelet’ conjoining the handle to the wood) and rubber-tipped bottom. Imported.

This item is a fashion accessory and not intended for use as a medical device. For walking assistance please see our cane selection.

Please note: this walking stick is hand crafted, so the shaft may have slight bowing, which will not affect functionality.

Oversized: This item is considered oversized for shipping purposes, and may incur a surcharge if expedited or shipped internationally.

The real thing
Was thinking that this was like an 18th Century walking stick. Wrong. It is a real life cane, solid brass, heavy quality wood. Will use this now instead of having to get a tacky metal one. Beautiful.

quality product
I have several walking sticks bought through various shops...this one is by far the grandest and authentic looking one I have yet. Thanks.

Walking Tall with Statesman Walking Stick
I ordered the walking stick for my husband. He is a museum tour guide and the walking stick is an added plus to the costume. However, the 5 Stars go to the Historical Emporium staff. I received the walking stick and the knob had a minor scratch. With proper justification of flaw, a replacement was sent out the next day. I do not think many companies hold this high a standard of customer satisfaction. Your products are outstanding and if a problem occurs - a correction is made. Let's make that 10 Stars. Thank you for making my husband's outfit complete with style.

Nice stick
I like the heft of this walking stick, and the overall quality is very good. It's not a costume piece, but a real walking stick. The only think I might want different is for it to be 2-3 inches longer. I am 6'2" and would like the extra height for resting my hand on the head.

Costume piece
I decided that I wanted to be Willy Wonka (Gene Wilder version) for Halloween this year. I am building my own costume and I needed a cane. This one fit the bill perfectly. It's a little tall, but seeing as it is not going to be used as an actual walking stick, it's fine. I feel it fits the authenticity I was looking for in my costume and looks great in person. It's fun, good quality, and will last a long time. It's a little pricey for a costume, but like I said, I wanted authenticity and good quality. Wonderful cane.

Statesman Walking Stick
I purchased this for my son for Christmas -- can't wait to see his reaction on Christmas morning -- he really likes the old fashion clothing look -- I had purchased him a top hat for his birthday -- so I know this will be a welcome edition to his outfit

The Statesman Walking Stick arrived in record time and in great condition. It looks lovely in our production of Pirates of Penzance--the Major General uses it. The walking stick is a great accessory to his costume. I like that this one has a skid-resistant bottom and doesn't need one of those ugly rubber stoppers. It makes this walking stick perfect for period stage productions.
