This is a nice vest however it is so stiff I can't imagine wearing it.

Excellent vest, sizing was accurate (M). Only minor downside is that it catches dust like crazy, but a lint roller is a worthwhile investment regardless.

This recent purchase was part of my first order from Historical Emporium. I am astonished by the quality of the workmanship and the excellent fit. At the back of my mind I guess I was wondering,'costume?' I was wrong! This vest is something I will be wearing for years to come!

I find the most helpful reveiws discuss sizing and not aesthetics. For me, the fit depends on the cut of the garment, I am to thick to wear "skinny" tailored clothes and often, if I go one size larger, it can look like I am wearing my father's clothing. In a sport coat I look for a 43" regular and once again depending of the cut of the garment, along with my own seasonal weight loss or gain, the article of clothing "fits" or looks styling or looks like I am in desperate need of a tailor. Out of the bag, my ordered "Commander Vest" fit nicely and allowed enough room for me to feel comfortable without adjusting the back strap. I purchased this vest for part of a SteamPunk costume I've assembled to wear to DragonCon in the fall of this year. I'm still working on some other applications... Thanks,

This vest is nicely made and fits well. The fabric is heavy holds its shape. I would recommend this item highly.
