The hat looks sharp and is very well made. I took it to a shop to reshape it a bit but the overall fit was good. I just have a long head front to back.

The top hat was great. Arrived in fantastic condition. Came with a feather not advertised, so that was a nice surprise. Comfortable fit. Nice hat band. It was on the shorter side, but tall enough to still have a notable silhouette. The felt was flocked, giving it a nice texture. I’ve been looking for a top hat, and this exceeded my expectations. Would highly recommend if you want a formal, elegant hat!

It’s a fine hat - but I will need to get another one of one size smaller, as it wobbles on my head. the quality of the item is very good however.

The Deluxe John Bull Top Hat is a well made hat. It is quite stiff and upright as it should be. I only wish the XL size works was a bit more generous.

Was for a Christmas Dickens themed party and we fit in nicely. Good compliments on our outfits. They seem as well made or better than expected

I love the fit and feel of this hat, and the material is authentic in fit and feel. Be aware that if you're trying to get a traditional top hat, this one's short (which is correct for the style!), much like if you were buying a bowler hat and then made it flat instead of round-topped.

In my Dickens caroling group, I've been using a more generic shaped top hat that was too tall for my overall head and frame shape. This John Bull shape is stylish and just right. It was a bit snug, but I was able to steam it and it stretched right out to fit perfectly!

I have around 18 hats for different occasions and portrayals, 3 toppers, black brown and gray and a bowler. Can't tell you how many came from Historical Emp. I'm always satisfied with the quality of all their clothing and accessories. Been shopping with them for years.

I plan on wearing the hat with a Regency Tailcoat at this years Dickens on the Strand (Galveston, Texas). It will no doubt fit in well with the other Victorian era outfits at the event.

Such a waste of time and especially money. Didn't read the fine print about returns and extra costs for hat boxes because of their size....
Unbelievable. The return shipping cost $37.15 for a $75.00 hat.
Never again. Won't be shopping with you any longer.

Quality is most excellent! It is rather round while my head is more oblong but size is pretty true and I may have it steam-shaped atthe local Cowboy Shop.

Very nice hat, however it seems made for a very round head shape. Ny head is more of a long oval so hat was tight fore and aft but loose side to side. I did get it to fit better with a little work. Just be aware, the proper size may not fit perfectly right out of the box. Well worth the time to make it fit.

I reenact the 1840's and needed a hat to match the rest of my "Shop Keeper" look. This worked perfectly. The quality is great and the fit was just as expected.

I was impressed with how authentic the top hat looks and feels up close. An added surprise that was not in the picture was a feather and hat pin tucked into the hat band. No doubt, you'll love this hat.

Awesome quality product!! I ordered a black John Bull top hat, and it is beautiful! The sizing was spot on, it arrived much more quickly than I imagined, and in perfect condition. I'm not sure what I expected, but I was more than impressed with both the materials and workmanship, and will gladly recommend Historical Emporium to my friends and colleagues!

Great Price and fits great. I have not worn this hat to an event yet however I can already tell you that I love this hat over the Coachman's that I have previously purchased couple of months ago. Coachman's hat feels cheaply made compared to the John Bull which is Ironic when you compare the prices.

The hat came quickly, the size was appropriate. The shape around the hat band is a tad strange, but I believe with some wear and sweat it will mold to the head. I am a magician and I will be using this hat extremely often and am pleased with the purchase.
