Extremely well made western holster in plain black leather.

The holster is made to slide onto a belt, and is sized for a standard frame revolver, and fits most barrel lengths 6 to 8 inches. The holster will also accommodate Smith & Wesson double action revolvers that have a frame size of K though N. Double action revolvers from other manufacturers that have a frame that is equivalent to the Smith & Wesson revolvers will also fit in the holster. Holster is made of saddle grade leather, with durable stitching for long service. Features rawhide leg ties and adjustable hammer loop. Silver snap trim.

Produced in Mexico by skilled craftsmen, this south-of-the-border original evokes the spirit of the 1800's Southwest.

Features a leather leg tie strap, and also an adjustable leather hammer loop to secure your revolver. The holster is adjustable for a good fit on your revolver. Click here for instructions on how to adjust the holster.

Please be aware that the Heritage Rough Rider .22 with the 7½" barrel has a small frame and does not sit well in the holster.

Real leather and it feels well made!
I was never a fan of the crossbody holster and was looking for a side holster for my Taurus Raging Hunter. This fits the bill perfectly! Most important is that it protects the trigger guard and a 6 inch barrel doesn’t poke out of the bottom.

Nice Holster

A Great Retro Western Holster

It fits
I have a 1851 Navy colt "Yank" .44 cal. 7.5" barrel and it fits well. Because of the newness of the leather, it has taken some time to mold the leather to the feature of the weapon. Once complete I plan on treating the interior of the holster with leather dressing for a smoother draw. Tie-down is stiff but will soften with dressing.

The holster is just what was advertised. Does the job and seems very durable. Like it,use it, and if I find something else I desire I will use Western Emporium again.

Not What I Expected from HE
I have several rigs, belts, holsters and this item was less than I expected from Historical Emporium. While some might say, "You get what you pay for", I got a sloppy fit and a stiff cardboard like holster, even though I specified the gun I was buying for. I will make due since it is not worth the trouble to ship back. I will not use in any open/public environment. The belt I ordered is covered under separate review and will end up costing more than I paid for better products in the past.

Great Price!
The quality and workmanship were commensurate with the price, which is to say that I was satisfied with the purchase. Higher quality and workmanship can be found, but at a much higher price. I did have a small modification made at a local boot shop which involved having the back piece stitched to the holster on either side of the gun opening to keep it from flopping around. Otherwise, I was happy with the product and especially the service.
