Good quality and fit. Ordered the coat, black leather gauntlet gloves, and goggles for my nephew. He is a neuroscientist. Fit him perfectly and he noted the quality of all pieces.

Made entieelt from corton so the material immediately from opening it is good quality. Its thick so its not see through, and better then any costune you could get anywhere else. Loved it so much i ordered another in black

I am a biology student in college. I was told I didn't HAVE to buy a lab coat so I've been wearing a cheap lab coat. Once in anatomy class I realized I had the best opportunity in my life for this kind fo extra fun. I even told my teacher I was considering a mad scientist coat for class. She was into it too. So I got the coat. No other students have commented but it isn't about that. I enjoy my lab coat and it gives me extra fun and memories for anatomy class. I will continue to wear it to my lab classes now that I have it.

I've returned my original purchase for a smaller size (M/L). At our House of Frankenstein party this October, as the host, I want to be there as Dr. Frankenstein. I may have to make some changes like adding "V. Frankenstein" and changing the black buttons for white.

Quality of sewing is not very impressive, not well finished and pretty cheap quality. Not impressed with the manufacturing so it would be hesitant to purchase anything else.

I really like this lab coat. Nice, heavier fabric, sturdy buttons and overall solid workmanship. What keeps it from a five star review are two things - both related to the collar. First, I have now given up on Historical Emporium collared tops because everything I have ever ordered with a collar is at least two sizes too large around the neck. This lab coat is unfortunately no exception to that pattern. I wear a 16.5 in collared shirts, so I do not have a toothpick neck, and ordered a M/L size for this coat. Great fit everywhere except at the collar, which is at least an inch and a half big on me. The second ding is the collar height. It's way too tall. This is a style choice that I should have noticed before ordering, but I assumed/hoped that the collar would be the same height as every other Howie coat sold elsewhere. It's not. Ironically, if the collar height were lower, the collar sizing issues I mentioned earlier wouldn't be a problem because the garment collar would only come up to the base of the neck, like a mock turtleneck, instead of mid-neck like this one.

This is not the first one of these I've bought. The ones I have for myself have held up over several years of occasional use. This was for my niece's "white coat" ceremony, now that she has proven herself in the family ranks of super geniuses.

I am 5’7”, 195lbs. I ordered the med/lrg. It is big. I knew it would be long after reading the reviews and expect it to be loose but it is BIG. I feel like a child in my dad’s shirt. I’ll attempt to talk my partner into some alterations for a better fit.
All that said, this is a nice lab coat. Heavy fabric, much better than a costume piece. It does have a chemical/plastic smell, I believe from packaging or storage.
If adequate measurement were added I’d give this 5 stars. Overall nice product.

Costume lab coat. Good fabric, decent construction. Cut very generously- full in the waist (there is a belt in the back to take in some of the fullness) and the sleeves are straight cut and wide at the cuffs. Standing collar is rather tall and has some body to it so it won't quickly roll or collapse. A very good costume piece , large enough to wear over a sweater or jacket, which has much possibility to be tailored for a better fit

Definitely Measure Yourself Instead of Assuming! I'm a shorter, curvier person who likes a bit of wiggle room in my clothes. I've been wanting this for ages, and when I finally got it I ordered the wrong size not once, but twice! Why? Because I'm used to always getting a 3x/4x , and then the 3x was too big, so I went to med/large, which was just a barely too small to close! And finally, I got the perfect size (XL/2X), which fits PERFECTLY. I can now live my stylish mad scientist dreams, and look absolutely amazing doing so. This labcoat looks nice on the body, making a great silhouette, and makes the user -- or me, in this case -- feel confident. It's amazing quality, too!

The material is great, the construction is sturdy, and the design is perfect! I was a little nervous about the price point but it is well worth it 10/10

I decided on a mad scientist costume for our Halloween party, but was disappointed with the quality of the costumes I found. I risked spending a little more on this lab coat and was very pleased with the material and construction. This was my first order from Historical Emporium, but unlikely to be my last.

This coat was a little big on me and required some refitting on the edges, even after ordering a small. If you are also a small guy, make sure to consider that. It looked great and was perfect for halloween and will be used for many years!

6'2" and 220 lbs here. The Medium/Large fit really nice except for some short sleeves. Cosplay has gloves so this is actually a plus. The XL/2X fit like a circus tent - definitely for a plus size fella or someone who wants to do their own tailoring. Everything else is as expected. Super thick fabric.

This coat is amazingly crafted and will go with so many outfits.

I just purchased 3 for an opera. Quality fabric and design. Well made and I was desperate for a quick delivery which they did. Actors love the costumes. Highly recommended.

I have 2 of these in black and white. They have added a great touch to my plague doctor/mad scientist costumes. Product is good quality and looks great. I’ll continue to order from HE for all of my Halloween costume needs.

My only complaint is that I wish that the sleeves were tapered or there was a cuff strap, but otherwise, a wonderful fit, and high quality.

I am very very happy with my purchase.
