With a commanding cut and regimental bling, our Buchanan Vest gives any recruit a full salute of style. Inspired by past military uniforms this vest is sure to give a dash of dignity to any ensemble.

Dapper in dark navy blue, our vest pops with the precision of nine golden eagle buttons up the front and a black cotton back adjusts with a buckled belt. The stand collar was common to the era as was the placement of the three exterior pockets.

Made from 100% wool with 100% cotton back and lining. Imported. Dry clean only. Available in sizes S-3X

I wear this for Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War meetings and functions. I thought the price was a bit high, but the vest is nice and fits good.

Buchanan vest is a winner!
This vest is well-made of high-quality materials. It has an elegant look that I like. The fit is true to size and consistent with the other vests that I have bought from this company. I have no complaints about the vest and I recommend it. I look forward to wearing mine regularly.

Excellent vest
Have been looking to acquire this style vest for quite a while. True to size, beautifully finished, comfortable, and well made. A nice addition to the other vests that I wear for either SASS matches or around town.

Probably the nicest vest that I've bought from HE (so far). Beautiful fabric and the buttons are metal (brass, I think, compared to another vest which has fabric-covered plastic buttons). Fits well, a bit on the generous side which is fine.

Top notch vest! Looks great as indian wars era cowboy action gettup. Quality product very well made. Looks so good I'm wearing it on sundays also. I wear XL in canvas vests to fit shoulders then they fit my belly loose, but the cut on this vest is perfect.

So much more than I expected! I thought my other Frontier Classics vests from Historical Emporium were tops, but this one stands out. Large vests are to snug on my belly, extra larges is what I wear with the adjustment belt in back snugged up some, but the Buchanan vest is just right in extra large. Smooth fit and looks great as an Indian wars era cowboy action getup. This vest will also see action on Saturday nights and Sunday mornings.

Great Addition
This vest is definitely a surprise, and a pleasant one at that. There is just enough wool in the fabric to give it the proper feel. The fact that it is self backed makes it perfect for use without any type of jacket or coat. On top of that it is decidedly comfortable to wear! I purchased this with one very specific use in mind, which required the stand up collar, and Navy Blue was exactly what was needed for the Tartan it was to be worn with. But now that I have it, I'm finding that it works quite well in many other ways. It will be seeing a great deal of use year round. This is definitely worth the extra bit of time that a special order requires.
