However I personally would like to see this thinner leather strap with the buckle from this scabbard on the old west gun belts instead of the heavy leather strap with the snap on the holster. Maybe in turn what is on the holster swapped to this scabbard instead & get rid of that weak snap altogether, I had to put JB Weld on the snap just to keep it from coming undone so easily. Otherwise it's great

I have not tested it on his saddle yet but the tooling and color of the case is so beautiful that I’m glad I got it even if it works for that or not. He will love it no doubt. I do think I will need to get some longer straps for it to attach but I think it will work perfect for his saddle

Anonymous I ordered this scabbard based on the reviews and the photos and description.
It arrived a week late. Which I will blame on the U.S.P.S.
It is not the dark brown that I thought I was getting. The straps are very thin and of poor quality not to mention the tin buckles.
