Muriel Pleated Blouse - White

This blouse is soft and very well made. I love the pleated details and sleeves. The sleeves were long for me as I need a petite blouse but would be nice for gals with longer arms.

Fabric is soft. Fit perfect.

I used this blouse for an 1860s Nurse, and it looked fabulous. Quick delivery and great customer service.

I'm in love with this blouse, it's gorgeous, well made and the material is high quality. It's all cotton so it's going to be a bit of an ordeal ironing it after a wash, but that's to be expected from a blouse like this. My only complaint is that the cuffs are just a cylinder, they really should taper down, being a little larger at the start and a bit smaller at the bottom, as it is I think I'm going to have to adjust where the buttons are. But it's a small complaint, otherwise the blouse is perfect. Love how stiff and thick the collar is!

Second Muriel blouse purchase. Really like how it looks good on almost any figure.

1890 House Museum

I portrayed an 1880's schoolteacher in a time travel event. Received many compliments on the style. It fit beautifully, so comfortable. It was the perfect addition to my costume.

Fits well, arrived on time, matches the picture, size is correct. Grateful to have this outlet.

I love the way it looked on me! The sleeves around the wrists are a little too loose for my liking, but it's an easy fix. Apart from that it's a well made shirt and it feels comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

I recently bought a Muriel pleated blouse in off-white. I knew from the reviews that I'd be sewing soft fabric or ribbon over what was sure to be a scratchy shoulder seam, so I was prepared. Sure enough, when that blouse arrived, the shoulder seams were scratchy, so I was ready with my materials and made quick work of the fix--new favorite off-white blouse.

So I didn't hesitate to order the blouse in black the minute it came back into stock.

Only when I went to sew soft fabric over the shoulder seams, I saw that the maker had already done it! Historical Emporium had listened to its customer reviews and fixed the issue!!

Sure, it would have been a quick fix, but what a nice surprise to have it already done. Definitely makes an already high-quality item feel even more like a good value for the money.

Beautiful blouse, fits so good! Great fabric and workmanship. The only cons is pricky material used in shoulder wings which hold puff sleeves. If the makers would manage turn the ends of the netting they used there not to the human size, but to the top side of the sleeve, the blouse would be perfect. I solved the problem adding extra fabric layer over pricky piece and it worked.

I waited a long time to make this purchase, but I am very pleased with the look, fit, and quality. Thank you!

The body fits but the shoulders and sleeves are extremely large. It doen't fit for a lady.

Purchased this blouse to go with a Black Satin skirt and hat also purchased from this company. Absolutely fabulous. Our church had an Old Time Days. What a perfect outfit.

Excellent quality, looks beautiful.

The blouse fits well, the only problem is the underside of the sleeve at the shoulder is so stiff and scratchy you need to wear a camisole or it would be to painful to wear. It just wasn't finished well.

I love the blouse. I love the color and the addition of small pleats across front. It wears well and looks lovely. My only concern is when comparing it to my other, same sized blouse purchased from you, this one is not as roomy across the bust line. I imagine the addition of the pleats gathered some of the looseness found in other style.

I have a white blouse from this company in size medium that fits perfectly. I ordered this one in medium as well but it runs larger. If I'd tried it on, I would probably have purchased a small. Also I didn't care for the white trim at the cuffs and collar so I removed it. The blouse is of excellent weight material and well finished and made.
