Emerson Frock Coat - Black
He cut a dashing figure in our Black Emerson Frock Coat. Sophisticated yet not a bit stodgy, he was always appropriately outfitted for those ‘so pleased-to-meet-your-acquaintance’ situations. Certainly, a go-to choice for the wardrobe of any gentlemen with 19th century leanings.
Before the shorter, boxy jacket of the “sack” suit (still being worn today), the frock coat was the standard silhouette for men. Longer and seamed at the waist, our vintage-look coat features three button front, a notched lapel and intricate detailing on the back. Necessities can be kept at hand in the interior breast pocket.
Fashioned from a lightweight blend of 70% polyester, 18% wool and 12% rayon and is fully lined for comfort. Imported. Dry Clean Only. Available in sizes 38 – 52.

To measure your chest: Raise your arms slightly and measure just under your arms. Be sure to cross over the shoulder blades and the fullest part of the chest. If your belly measures larger than your chest, use your belly measurement for coat size. |
Longs: If indicated in the selection list (e.g. 46L,) long sizes may also be available. Longs are approximately 2" longer in the back and sleeves. |
