Americans call it a derby, after the Earl of Derby who helped popularize it. But, Englishmen know it as a bowler as it was first introduced in the early-1850's in England and produced by the Bowler Brothers Company. It crossed the pond to America in the 1860's and remained popular well past the turn of the century.
Made from 100% wool felt in tan, our handsome derby is crafted with every attention to the era – including a close-fitting shape, rounded 4¾ to 5 in. crown, short curled 2 in. brim with a bound edge. Grosgrain ribbon and lined inside with a leather sweat band for comfort.
Imported. Sizes M - XL.
