I'm tired of wearing jeans everywhere and wanted something equally comfortable but with more panache. I live in a resort area and donning this skirt (cornflower blue) and with a white blouse with some simple jewelry and a wide brimmed straw hat is the perfect way to be stylish yet comfortable. I participate in Spanish Classical dressage tournaments and working equitation clinics. This is lovely material and feminine and you do not need to wear leggings with it like you do with some of the Spanish designs. I cannot wait to ride in it. It can also have an old west look to it. It's perfect!

I have several costumes for riding sidesaddle and needed something for a western look with various vests and jackets. These fit well, do not seem to bind and are slim looking around the waist and hips. I may hand wash as I don't want to change the fit one iota!! Lovely product, thank you!

This split skirt is really cute. Nearly all the reviews I had read on this garment said that it runs very small and suggested ordering one, if not two, sizes up. I'm somewhat thick around the middle, so I ordered two sizes up, and it was HUGE. I could probably have gone all the way back down to my "normal" size, but that was going to take longer to receive as it wasn't already in stock. I needed it for a specific event and couldn't take a chance of it not fitting or not arriving in time. I returned the huge size and ordered another one only one size up from my normal size. It was still large in the waist and quite long on me. I decided to keep it, washed and dried it in the hottest temperatures possible, and it did shrink a bit in the waist. It's do-able now for this event (with a belt cinched pretty tightly). It's still long, but I can live with it...I can always have it taken up when I have more time after the event. If you're able to do so, I'd suggest ordering your normal size AND a "back-up" size, and then keeping whichever one is the closest fit to what you need. Just remember that it's 100% cotton, so it will shrink a little.

I bought these riding pants in both black and denim. They fit , wear and wash beautifully. I love every item I have ever purchased a Historical Emporium. I wear the blouses on a daily basis. I have been your customer for quite a few years and have never been disappointed in the quality of the clothing and the service is excellent!

This is my second pair of Classic Riding Pants and I love them. They fit well (use the sizing chart), drape beautifully, and I like the longer length as just about any style of shoe or boot looks great. The fabric is soft but sturdy. Does require ironing or quick touch up. I've worn these riding pants with several Historical Emporium blouses, off the rack blouses, and casual pull over shirts. AND, there are two deep pockets! Bonus!

Now these pants are just about perfect in fit, style and fabric. The fit is perfect.

These pants are full length which is very nice. The fit is a little different as they tend to give one a wedgy if you bend over. I ordered the Rust and Black classic riding pants and do not have that issue, so I believe it is just how this particular pair is made.
Other than that, they are very comfortable.

I really like this riding skirt. I had worn the kind with a panel in front that can be buttoned to look like a skirt or pants. This skirt is a lot lighter to wear. It goes down to about the ankles and looks nice with my cowboy boots. Easy to climb over gates when doing chores and getting on a horse. Lays nice when in the saddle and doesn't really billow out or ride up. I especially like that I can wear a belt with this. I can't say how it holds up over time as I haven't worn it much yet. I got one size bigger than I normally wear and it just fits. I would get another that is one size bigger for winter so that I would have room for wearing long underwear or sweatpants underneath. I would recommend this to any cowgirl who wants to feel or look modest and feminine.
