Drifter Western Poncho - Black/Brown

Item: 008927

$43.95

Don’t be caught out in the cold. Our Drifter Poncho will keep you warm, day and night, on those long cattle drives.

Ponchos, or serapes, were often brightly colored and patterned with stripes. Mexican cowboys, Vaqueros, often wore them like a cloak, draped loosely or thrown across the shoulders. When not worn, ponchos were rolled and tucked behind the saddle, used as blankets, and were considered a valuable item of a vaquero’s kit. Although they did not originate in Mexico, but rather Spain, they were embraced during the colonial period and became part of Mexican tradition and worn by all.

Our poncho is made with a wool feel using 50% acrylic , 40% polyester , and 10% cotton. Imported. Machine wash cold, line dry. Measures approximately 78" x 48" (unfolded) with a 3" tassels, and a 14.5" neck opening. One size fits most.

Has not been treated to be waterproof or water resistant. Also available in Olive.
