I love this dress. Just what I was looking for to portray a woman from the 1800s. Very well made. It was lined and well made. Great quality.

The only problem I have with the dress is the use of buttons and buttons holes in the time period it would have been more hooks Otherwise style was great

Absolutely loved my calico dress! The material is of excellent quality. I normally wear a large, but I am a 38D so I ordered an XL which made all the difference. I'll definitely order again!

This dress is beautiful! We are so pleased with the color and quality of the fabric.

Beautifully made and cotton fabric is sturdy but soft. The skirt is much longer than I need, so I'll cut and hem to fit. There's enough extra fabric to make a belt. The bodice is fully lined and sleeves are roomy. I bought a petticoat to support the fullness of the skirt, which will take a bustle if desired (with a different dress.) And a white cotton bonnet. Size-wise, it's a little large on me, but the small size was not available.

I bought this for theatre production, and it's perfect. the fit was great, and it looks awesome with an apron and bonnet. As always, Historical Emporium is a great place to go for reliable period clothing.

Excellent quality and accurate sizing.

I purchased this dress for an 1800's open hearth cooking demonstration. I was amazed with how quickly it arrived, the quality of the fabric and the stitching. I usually adjust my clothes quite a bit, but this dress just needed a quick hem (I'm very short, so that was expected) and I wanted the cuffs to fit a little more snugly which was easily accomplished by moving the buttons in. Overall, excellent dress and will definitely be purchasing more clothing in the future.
