I purchased this top hat for more or less everyday wear, as I have to walk with a cane (your silver tone skull cane, in fact), and I may as well look stylish while doing so. The top hat rests very well on my head. It fits as sized. I added a few feathers to the band, and I have received several compliments when I have worn this top hat with my kilt and cane.

I have always wanted a Top Hat. I purchased the Wahmaker Highland Frock Coat and have worn it to Court (I'm a lawyer). When it came time for the annual reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Court House, I knew I had to wear my frock coat, but wanted a quality Top Hat that didn't look cheap. I ordered the Victorian Top Hat, the quality is amazing. The hat looks very nice and I intend to wear it occasionally come Winter. If you are needing a hat for a Victorian impression, I highly recommend this hat.

The watch works perfectly. It is well packaged and was protected during shipping. It is a joy to carry and use. The skeleton dial can be a bit distracting and can make it difficult to discern the hour hand in some positions. It may just be a matter of acclimation. I was glad to find this available.

During this past summer, I was fortunate enough to work as an actor on season 2 of the hit Taylor Sheridan TV show 1923. As I had mentioned in a another review on this site, I found Historical Emporium [HE] while doing a Google search for "spats". There was a surprisingly large amount of info available. After looking as some sites I found HE to be the best; best in product selection, information about items, historical background about the products with the most important info being why these items were made and used to begin with. Proved to be very enlightening. I've used these spats with my regular shoes at the office to keep the cold air under my desk from getting my ankles too cold; I do have a footwarmer heating pad for my feet but the spats help to keep my ankles warm without having to wear ankle high boots. A surprisingly clever product that still has a place in the fashion/clothing world of today.

I was concerned about the sizing being different from what I was used to, but the measurement guide on the page was spot-on. They fit my shoes perfectly and don't impede me while wearing them. They fit over tennis shoes as well, giving me the ability to wear comfortable shoes without my shoes breaking the illusion of the overall outfit.

This pocket clock is very attractive; I like the flip-open case, and the authentic-old style Roman numerals. I am a volunteer docent and tour guide at the local National Park, and when leading tours for 4th-grade history classes, it comes in handy in teaching the kids how to tell time with an analog watch, for they only seem to know smart phones. Will "clockwise" and "counterclockwise" lose their meaning?

This was my first purchase from the Hisorical Emporium and I have to say I'm impressed. I had been looking for something different for awhile but could never find anything that caught my eye untill I found this website. I looked through what they had and was shocked to find vintage styl clothes for a good price and I purchased a red Twin city vest and this silver puff tie. I wore this to church and other events and immediately recieved complements from my friends who kept asking me where I got it but all that aside this is a very good product I love the adjustable neck band verses a clip on and the quality is outstanding for the price and I will be getting another soon.

I bought this tie to wear day to day. It is a stunning color and easy to wear. The only issue I had was that the tie tack looks a little cheap, other than that, I highly recommend this tie.

his is the first time I tried these Cotton Neck Ties, loved them an I must say I looked simply marvelous wearing them. I was looking for the Wyatt Tie made by Frontier Classic, I still don't know if it is what I bought or was it made by another company? I do have one compliant, I like to know what I am buying, I don't like guessing, if something is made by Frontier Classic or Scully or Wah Maker, etc. state that it is. I suspect that others are like me, most of the Old West clothing makers cut everything large, so when I ordered shirts even though I wear an extra large shirt for work, I order large shirts, with Vests, I know what size vests fit me in different clothing makers, but if you don't list the maker I will not order them. I'd got the Black Velvet "plain" Vintage Quilted Smoking Cap ("plain" meaning no embroidery on the side) because I wanted a warm cap to wear "indoors" during winter. I wear sweaters and turtlenecks indoors so that I can keep the thermostat turned down, reducing my heating bill. However, I still suffered from a cold head! I had pull-overs, toques, knit stocking caps, and a bunch of other, regular, outdoors winter-wear lids. But I had nothing even remotely "Ritzy" to wear indoors. The other stuff made it look like I'd just come in from checking he mail, or something--- not like something I had intentionally worn indoors! The smoking cap's ideal! It's also a good bit like Dumbledore's "casual cap," (which I'd also considered; rejecting it because it was made too small for me!) but less "ornate." The Vintage Quilted Smoking Cap also special in that the "XL" version fits me; and I usually take a 7-7/8 or "XXL" hat or cap! I like the Harry Potter series; but being in my 60s, it behooves me to avoid dressing exactly like Dumbledore! (Yea, sure; the kids & grand-kids would love it, but it might cause talk!) So I split the difference, buying a cap that only slightly resembles a "wizard's cap." I'm happy, the kids are happy, and the rest can hop it! However--- I hope that the Historical Emporium has an ample supply of these, as they're great for "customizing" into fancier versions with glued-on trim & piping, braid & brooches, for the costumes of "Dumbledore Wannabes!"
