A quality upgrade from the normally seen "Police Braces" which reenacters have been using for the past 60 years. These kind of suspenders can be used for any occasion.

Even though people shouldn't see the suspenders of a proper gentleman, you'll know how dapper you are when you wear these with fancy pants and a tie. Works well for an Earp or Holiday kit, or if you just want to play a railroad tycoon. I matched mine up with tuxedo pants to portray an Englishman or a butler.

They fit my 5 foot 9 inch frame perfectly and the elastic has just enough give to be very comfortable for all day wear while still keeping my trousers securely in place. The satin material is shiny and smooth, giving a sleek, upper-class look that is a finishing touch on a Black Tie affair or just a casual Victorian Stroll in Saratoga Springs. I love these braces.

At the ripe young age of 42, this is honestly my first serious pair of suspenders (that weren't clip-on and mock-ups of the ones Robin Williams wore on Mork & Mindy). Combined with a proper set of trousers, I felt way too comfortable. I need more of these in my life. These are worn underneath of the waistcoat so nobody really gets to see them... except my wife as I'm taking all of the layers off. And she seems to think they look really fine on me. As far as I'm concerned, that's the final word.

The watch works perfectly. It is well packaged and was protected during shipping. It is a joy to carry and use. The skeleton dial can be a bit distracting and can make it difficult to discern the hour hand in some positions. It may just be a matter of acclimation. I was glad to find this available.

I got this pocket watch for my boyfriend as a graduation present! He absolutely loves it! The window where you can see the gears is an awesome touch. This pocket clock is very attractive; I like the flip-open case, and the authentic-old style Roman numerals. I am a volunteer docent and tour guide at the local National Park, and when leading tours for 4th-grade history classes, it comes in handy in teaching the kids how to tell time with an analog watch, for they only seem to know smart phones. Will "clockwise" and "counterclockwise" lose their meaning?

This tie fastens like a pre tied bow tie with a hook and clasp that is adjustable. The style and tie tack is unlike any you will find in a men’s store. It is short fat and flat at the bottom. Can’t wait to take off my vest and have this tie really look authentic with the high collar shirt whose buttons match the tie length.

I was looking for the Wyatt Tie made by Frontier Classic, I still don't know if it is what I bought or was it made by another company? I do have one compliant, I like to know what I am buying, I don't like guessing, if something is made by Frontier Classic or Scully or Wah Maker, etc. state that it is. I suspect that others are like me, most of the Old West clothing makers cut everything large, so when I ordered shirts even though I wear an extra large shirt for work, I order large shirts, with Vests, I know what size vests fit me in different clothing makers, but if you don't list the maker I will not order them. I am using the hat in my role as the Worshipful Master in my Masonic Lodge. The Lodge room get's a bit steamy in the Florida summer and this straw top hat is light and airy yet exudes quality and looks formal. It's perfect for the purpose I intended.

I'd got the Black Velvet "plain" Vintage Quilted Smoking Cap ("plain" meaning no embroidery on the side) because I wanted a warm cap to wear "indoors" during winter. I wear sweaters and turtlenecks indoors so that I can keep the thermostat turned down, reducing my heating bill. However, I still suffered from a cold head! I had pull-overs, toques, knit stocking caps, and a bunch of other, regular, outdoors winter-wear lids. But I had nothing even remotely "Ritzy" to wear indoors. The other stuff made it look like I'd just come in from checking he mail, or something--- not like something I had intentionally worn indoors! The smoking cap's ideal! It's also a good bit like Dumbledore's "casual cap," (which I'd also considered; rejecting it because it was made too small for me!) but less "ornate." The Vintage Quilted Smoking Cap also special in that the "XL" version fits me; and I usually take a 7-7/8 or "XXL" hat or cap! I like the Harry Potter series; but being in my 60s, it behooves me to avoid dressing exactly like Dumbledore! (Yea, sure; the kids & grand-kids would love it, but it might cause talk!) So I split the difference, buying a cap that only slightly resembles a "wizard's cap." I'm happy, the kids are happy, and the rest can hop it! However--- I hope that the Historical Emporium has an ample supply of these, as they're great for "customizing" into fancier versions with glued-on trim & piping, braid & brooches, for the costumes of "Dumbledore Wannabes!" I wanted a second shirt and a different necktie for my GAR impression. Although the shirt was listed as a special order and I was cautioned that it would take longer to send, it came in record time- two weeks.

I recently purchased the Black Polka Dot Cotton Teck Tie and I want to let you know how extraordinarily pleased I am with it. Every re-enactor who is serious about historic authenticity should own this item. About a year ago, I purchased a similar item from a supplier outside the U.S. The Teck Tie from Historical Emporium cost a fraction of what I paid for the overseas item, and the Emporium's version is identical to what is depicted in period photography and portraits.
