Although I have not worn it yet, I did try it on. It fits well, the sizing guide was correct. The only disappointment was the buttons. I had to change them out to white bone buttons, which I will again change out to white glass buttons when I have more time. When trying to recreate a period look, clear plastic buttons is not the way to go. Otherwise no complaints. It shipped faster than I thought it wood and seemed to have it overnight.

This is a quality product! When the product arrives, the material feels thin; but after one run through the laundry the material fills out and you can appreciate the quality of the cotton and the stitching. MAKE SURE that you measure yourself using the instructions provided at Historical Emporium's web site for best fit. If you find yourself at the larger end of the sizing, go a size up as a loose fit will look more authentic and will be more comfortable. You will have to iron this shirt, it is 100% cotton. I have found it best to tumble dry for a few minutes to remove excess water, then hang dry for best wear. Hope this helps.

I love wing collars and the addition of the cuff-link and stud option to a 100% cotton Victorian dress shirt was a very welcome and wise change to this product. Superb quality and exactly what I was looking for. Due to my short size I needed a large neck and chest size and this works perfectly. The sleve length was quite long however. I wish that there had been a sleeve length in same size 8 inches shorter. But, I have a Tailor that can take care of that. So, I couldn't be happier with this shirt. I may just get a couple more.

Not that it's a bad thing, but the cotton of this shirt is lighter than some of HE's other shirts, similar to the club collar shirt. It's still good quality and it's nice to have a lighter weight for hotter days or more layers. Just a good thing to know. The steel top button is cool.

I purchased the Victorian Men's Dress Shirt with the High Stand Collar in black for my steampunk Halloween costume. I paired it with the Crimson Commander's Vest for a factory forman/ engineer look. Following the sizing guide I was a bit nervous of the fit, being a Plus-sized gentleman. I was quite surprised to find the product properly enveloped me. This is a casual shirt with a simplistic, frontier style that I like a lot. The color was lighter than I expected - but this is good because I find I can wear it with all of the vests and dungarees of different colors that I have. The fit of this shirt is loose and comfy. The back stitching has a great, subtle, frontier look.
Perhaps this shirt can be made in the color black? I think the style of this shirt plus the color black would give it a very dramatic look.

Shirt seems to be well constructed and fabric is quite lightweight, great for summer. It is too big however. Ordered a Large for my neck size, which is a 16, and I can fit my hand into the collar. I sadly threw away the tags and packaging before I could really try it on with the vest I bought previously, so unreturnable. It's a good shirt, nice metal buttons, but if you buy one, size down!

Comfortable for physical trades re-enacting
Living history day at a fort demonstrating log hewing. I was able to move comfortably. Although not strictly accurate for the early period, it was great fabric and design, well executed construction.

This shirt is part of my 17th century reenactment events and fits with my costume. I ordered it a couple weeks ahead of the event date and received it in less than a week. Also the seams look durable.

Perfect fit
I ordered this and several other items for my daughter's upcoming wedding. The entire package arrived several days earlier than expected, and I was skeptical of the purchase, but once receiving all the items I realized the material quality was high the fit was perfect and the price was great. I could not have bought a suit for the same price. I am amazed at the outstanding customer service from historical Emporium. I even had to change my pants size day after I ordered and it was corrected and I received the proper fit.

Extra long is great!
I like Frontier Classics shirts except that the sleeves are usually too short for me. I’m over 6’ 2” with longer than average arms and legs. The fact that Historical Emporium stocks extra long, or ‘Tall’, versions of the shirts is perfect. I haven’t found them anywhere else (which is why I bought the shirt from them rather than from a supplier in the UK). I wish the long versions of Frontier Classics shirts were more widely available because this one I’ve bought is very good.

I do period recreations and Steampunk cosplay. I needed a shirt for a new cosplay not to dissimilar to the office outfits worn on The Gilded Age on HBO Max. This shirt is very close to what I was looking for and the price was not bad. It matched the frock and waist coat I got for the cosplay very well.
Understand in period, many white shirts were off white and not stark white. I love the texture and color difference.
If you are looking for a more casual Late Victorian/Edwardian shirt, this will do the trick.

Online comments said the shirt fits on the large size so I went with the fit chart and bought a medium instead of the usual large and it fits perfect. Plenty of shoulder room and arm length is exact. Beautifully made. Shipping was really fast to Canada.

Very good quality, nice and breezy and handy for summer. And the collar style makes it versatile, so you're paying for two different shirts in one. It's quite baggy around the stomach but a waistcoat takes care of that. I ordered 2XL and it fits me perfectly, which is pretty good for something I bought online.
With the collars starched up, I think it probably looks best with a deluxe western-style bowtie or a cravat.

This shirt fit well, was a basic style that covers many eras, the cost was right, the sleeves and cuffs were decent. I may get another as a spare. If you are tall, as I am, make sure you note that somewhere on the form. I did, and was rewarded with the longer fit at the waist...
