After returning first holster because it was too big I received second holster and the belt was too tight to go in buckle without a little forcing. Also although being 2" smaller I still had to put belt in next to last notch to keep it up. I have a 36" waist and ordered a 40" belt the second time. I believe belts should fit in center hole to look right. Otherwise it is a beautifully made and sturdy outfit.

I’ll skip the 5 star explanation; after all, one quick scan of this site and you’ll see countless 5 stars. Instead, I’ll focus on the product. I received a size 56 belt, single action army, .38/.357 caliber right hand draw holster combo in black. What can I say, I’m a large guy. I’ve own(ed) and professionally used countless holster/belts (to include wearing out a few) over 30 years. I also worked at a very large big box sporting Goods Company selling many of their rigs for every reason/season imaginable so I'll self-proclaim my expertise here. That said, before I lead with the phrase “for the price”, I need to back up and state, this holster/belt combo is by far more than what I expected. The quality is excellent, having 45 loops evenly stitched, both horizontally and vertically, while securely gripping each round was a pleasant surprise. The scalloped flower pattern is deep and tastefully done, the black dye did not bleed over any part of my clothing, the holster holds all of my SAAs (5.5 BBL) tightly once you’ve press and form the opening per instruction (if needed, this isn’t an absolute), and the fasteners, buckle and overall appearance is very good. I warn those who like to fast draw their SAA a lot, the trigger housing is completely cover (not accessible once holstered) and although the stitching contacting this point is reinforced, forcefully holstering your gun could split it over time. I had bought a Smith & Wesson .357 with a 6 inch barrel, and though it was a modern style weapon, it made me feel like it was western 6 shooter. I wasn't sure if it would fit in a western style holster, but that seemed like the only proper way to holster it. I received the holster and was very happy with it. The gun fit nicely. The trigger strap is adjustable. I had bought two speed loaders and a case to hold them, and they fit on the belt and are the same color. Looks great, fits great.

The holster was nice. It did not fit my revolver but it seemed to be constructed well. Even though their compatibility mentioned that it would handle the Blackhawk 357, it did not mention that it only handled the Blackhawk old model.

I was slightly concerned about getting the correct belt size, but that was not an issue. I measured myself as shown on the webpage, and it fits just right.

The holster came exactly as illustrated on the website. I followed the sizing chart information and the fit was perfect. I wear a size 32" pant and the sizing instructions suggested a size 38". I was a bit sceptical but it fits great and rides like it should. For once I followed the directions and I'm glad I did. I have shown the holster to others at my club and they were all impressed with the overall quality. The color and thickness of the leather were both good. I would not hesitate to buy one again. Mark

I bought this for my husband's birthday and he loved it.

I think The Emporium needs to have more fitting advice for things like this holster. I had a very hard time feeling out the what is the right fit where the weight of the pistol does not drag down the entire holster or the holster being too tight. Other wise the craftsmanship on these leather goods is very good. That being said I will have to order another in the perfect size for everyday ware. I highly recommend these holsters.

Exceptional Quality.

This is a really nice gun belt for the money. Think they are made in Mexico but you can get a lot of nice leather products in Mexico if you've ever been down there. Not sure if it's hand-tooled or not but the tooling is beautiful. Leather is thick and it has heavy duty stitching so I have no doubt that it will hold up for years to come. Everything is pretty stiff so I've been applying leather conditioner to mine to get it softened up. I ended up also buying their cross draw holster in the same color and it matched perfectly. Wanted to get geared up to start going to S.A.S.S. matches and this rig should work just fine. Everyone that sees it comments on how nice it is and can't believe how affordable it was. I am a 34 waist so I opted to get the 40" belt and it worked out pretty well. It's in the middle hole for me and it sits cocked down at an angle just below my regular belt. Inside of the holster is rigid and slightly bigger than my Uberti 1873 Cattleman II so the draw is quick but it certainly won't fall out plus it has a retention strap that goes around the hammer of the gun that is adjustable. Not much more to say...if you're looking for a gun belt you certainly can't go wrong with this one. Just watch your sizing. Gonna want to go up at least 2 sizes if not 3.

I am very pleased with the Gun Belt and Holster..I did Order the .38 / .357 but it does not fit me Ruger .357..GP 100. The Trigger guard needs a cut-out for it to slide in all the way.

Made really well with a nice pattern, my Taylor's and company 357 fit awesome and the bullets fit perfect in the belt. Only issue but not a big deal is Im a 32 waist and got a 34 but probably would have got a 36 if I had it to do over, just a little snug.

Product was as described. I wear a size 33 pants and ordered a size 38 like the instructions said. Fit perfect. Beautiful leather work and i love the smell of the fresh leather. Fits 45 long colt like a glove. I paid twice as much for one that doesn't compare to this one. Will order from again soon.

I am glad I went with the Two tone Brown. The tooling and reliefs are done with love and care. Too bad cartridges are unavailable or I would tell how they fit although judging from experience I think they'll fit nice and snug. It is a work of art and a utility all in one my compliments to the crafter of my gun belt and thank you.

Very well made gun belt and beautiful tooling job, only had a little issues with sizing but all i did was emailed them and let them know and they sent me a new size when they got the old one back. Wonderful customer service and very easy to exchange 10/10 would definitely buy from them again.

Fits like a dream (once I got the measurements right) holds my Ruger Blackhawk like a glove. Make sure you measure the way they show you... if you are in a hurry, you will be returning it. But the customer service goes above and beyond to make you happy!.

This holster set-up is the finest workmanship East of the Pecos. Don't be fooled by those half priced imitations. Those are sewn in the back so they save on leather. This belt is one piece, end to end. Those holsters (and probably the belt also) are only finished on one side. So the exposed face at the gun grip is not the same as the belt. The tooling is exquisite, I didn't see a flaw anywhere. And the two tone staining gives it the old time original look.

I bought this holster for my two six shooters, Ruger Vaquero Bisleys with 5.5" barrels, and I love it. They are for my first foray into cowboy shooting, and it looks and feels (and smells!) great! I had to make a change to get the right size, my waste is about 32" and the 34" belt fits well. The customer service was fantastic! Note to future buyers- the belt is not straight. If you lay it flat, it is curved, and the size is based on the distance across the top of the curve. But that curve is what lets the belt sit flat around the hips. I will be back for more authentic cowboy clothes and accessories!

I had been searching for sometime for a dual holster with appeal as well as being useful. This holster was absolutely fantastic. The tooling on it was unbelievably terrific. The delivery time for it to be sent to Australia was quicker than expected. So whether your after a dual holster or even a single holster int a tooled version then I highly recommend looking at what is available from Historical Emporium website. I am already looking at a few other items from the website.

Beautiful holster and belt, obviously real and thick leather. Shells fit right in the loops and my Cimarron pistolero (colt peacemaker clone) was a perfect fit that Required no additional stretching or anything. My one complaint is my own fault, and that’s the sizing. I wear a 40 pant and using their measurements I should’ve gotten a 50 inch belt. Instead I got a 52 and it’s a bit too large even tightened all the way. I hate dealing with shippings and returns so I decided I’ll just have it adjusted later. Bought on a Sunday night received it a day early on that Wednesday.

This holster was the best I have found. Hand tooling was perfect not just pressed like others. Great workmanship through out. Should last years down the road.

This is a really nice tooled leather gunbelt, well made, heavy duty and quite beautiful. Smith and Wesson model 586 with 6” barrel fits nicely. I have 33” waist for pants, I ordered size 40, it’s fine but I could have gone 38”. There is a fairly good amount of adjustability with all the belt holes at the buckle so it’s fine. But my advice would be, if you are 32 or 33 waist, get size 38 and it will be right in the middle of adjustment. This is a very good product at any price, but for the low price they charge it is incredible! Leather goods made in Mexico are very traditional old west.

Love the color, rounds fit nicely, feels great, except for the holster is a bit small for the full size gun, my 22 caliber fit well but the.357 is rather snug, not easy for quick draw or holstered the gun, can this be fix?

I am sooo very proud of my new gun holster and belt!! I am a woman, living in the country, with rattle snakes, coyotes, bob cats, and even a mountain lion, for real, in our front yard. I love the outdoors, work outside and love landscaping work. Because of where we live, the wild life I have met face to face, I need a gun and holster. The holster is magnificent, fits superb at my hips, and allows me to work outside comfortably with it's comfortable fit and tie down for the leg holster, plus extra shells when I need them. Thank you for a beautiful product, very good quality, that I will wear every time I go outside, even over my old west dresses as well as work clothes. I am thrilled with my new rig!!

What a beautiful rig. My Uberti 1873 Cattleman just slid into the holster like I had been forming it for a month. Workmanship and quality for the price is excellent. I ordered my rig on Wednesday at midday and it was at my house on Virginia Beach VA by Friday evening. My only gripe is my fault in the measuring other than that couldn't be more pleased

I do a lot of research when I go to spend more than $100, and I looked online for about 2 months before I chose to go with this holster. I always kept coming back to this one. I had just recently bought a Ruger Ner Vaquero .357 magnum which fit the holder well! It was delivered quickly and was just as advertised. There are "better" holsters out there, but this is the best for the money that I found. I'm not a cowboy and this is not an everyday wear for me, but I will enjoy it when I do. I'm completely happy with it and would definitely a purchase it again.

The 1800's, way out west - a simpler time. The cattle graze, the crops grow, the seasons change. It's truly a simpler time still in the west in the early part of the 1800's. Yes, it is simpler in many ways, however, in the late 1840's the rapidity with which the east is growing has come to the west. I am in love with the quality of my belt and holster. It doesnt try to be too flashy and is just over all appealing on the eye, while also being sturdy and reliable. Gonna buy a Cross draw holster to go with it once I get another revolver.

In that there are no "brick and mortar" outlets in my rural area that allowed me to "touch and feel" the gun belt and holster I needed for my Ruger Vaquero 38/357 revolver (Bisley grip), I did an extensive web search. Prices varied from about $70 to over $300, but only Historic Emporium offered the variety of products and obvious commitment to the entire culture of our American Western history. Customer comments were detailed and very helpful, along with specific recommendations by Historic Emporium Customer Service. The quality of my belt and holster is superb, and size recommendation from Customer service smack on. The steel casing sandwiched between the double layer holster saddle allowed me to hand form the holster to a perfect fit for my Bisley Vaquero (5.5" barrel) in only minutes, with no water soaking needed. The ammo loops are perfectly sized, firmly gripping the 38/357 rounds. The hammer loop was a bit short for the Bisley hammer format, but easily adjustable. The stainless steel revolver with ivory grips presents a stunning and authoritative appearance in this high quality, plain black leather.

Gun belt and holster are great. Quality is 100% awesome. Sizing is accurate, but I ordered based on where I thought it would sit on my hips - turns out it is too big. I’ll need to shorten it a few inches to make it fit properly, but this is my fault not the manufactuerers or vendors fault. i wear a 36 pants, i ordered a 42 inch holster which was perfect. bullets fit well on the 357 loops. All in all im pretty happy with my purchase.

I am extremely pleased with the quality of this gun belt and holster! There’s nothing like the smell snd feel of good quality leather! The leather is a very good quality with beautiful tooling done to perfection! The stitching was solid and evenly done. The cartridge loops are perfect for 357mag cartridges. The quality is such that if I saw it in a leather goods shop I would expect to pay hundreds of dollars more than I paid! I would highly recommend this product to someone wanting a belt that will give them years of service!

Make sure to check sizes carefully! The quality and tooling of the leather is wonderful, especially for the price. Buy the right size and it fits like a glove. I wear my pants low on my hips and buy pants with a 32" waist. I bought the 36" holster and only have one more punch hole to loosen it before it doesn't fit. There is a few punch holes to make it tighter, however. Once it's on, it is very comfortable and sturdy.

Although personally I’d rather a simpler design, and maybe a smaller profile around the holster, it worked perfectly as both a belt and great piece for a cosplay I had done. It feels extremely durable so I know this will last for a long while, though I may not use it more than a few times. Worth the price for good craftsmanship

I purchased the RT draw tooled brown tooled holster in 38 caliber and the size 42 The belt was stamped 38 357. And at first i did not see the 42. So I thought i received a 357 cal holster on a size 38 belt. So I thrown the contents of my refrigerator out to shrink down. Because i had bought a 22 caliber duel holster black smooth size 42 for Christmas. i had to wear it on the very first hole to keep it snug. So i started eating to move the buckle to the next hole. Like Goldy locks now both fit just right. Well the tooled 38 size fits great just right. Two bullet loops are overly loose and bullets push out very easy but do NOT fall through during rapid movement.I purchased this one on sale too I gave this a 5 star because 10 was not an option. I am well pleased with purchases. Pardon me please if this item is red i am severely color blind. Good job well done to the artist at the leathery.

Well made and sized correctly. After strapping it to a log, the same diameter as my hips, to shape it out, inserted guns, squished the holsters down to fit snug, adjusted the hammer strap with a tug and the rig has worked out great.

This double holster is beautifully crafted out of high quality materials. A very welcome addition to my firearms closet. I'd purchase again. Customer service is also a pleasant experience. These folks care about their product and their customer satisfaction.

I loved the look of the holsters and the tooling on the leather. Belt is way too small. I ordered a size larger than my normal size and the belt is about 3 sizes too small. Luckily I was able to figure out an extension but this the cost, I expected it to fit.

Do not buy this product!

Not the best of materials, or best of craftsmanship by any means. However, those types of holsters will cost between $800, and $1200, AND have up to a 3 month delivery time, believe me I've shopped around. So for under $200 this belt and holsters now support 7 pounds of lethal steel and looks good doing it, so much so that my local gun store is using my image wearing this belt to promote "Wheel Gun Wednesdays". So with that, and fast shipping, and customer service I'll give ya'll a 5 star.
