Love it! Quality of the fabric and styling are excellent! Great crossover piece with a classy touch for my favorite looks -- can go from formal to casual depending what it's combined with. Something I can wear to work, church, and downtown. The rounded bottom hem works nicely for displaying a fancy belt buckle. The Large size is slightly big for my 44" chest, but the adjustable buckle in the back makes it work, sizing is comfortable without buttons straining. Love the four front pockets, plenty of options for storage. The color is better described as brown/black, not brown/navy. The darker stripe is a soft black, not a blue tone. Love the brown/black stripe as it is, coordinates with more of my shirts/pants/jackets than the brown/navy would. The vertical stripes give a subtle slimming look.

A Dandy of a Vest!
Bought this and the matching Ferndale Striped spats to complete my patent medicine salesman 'living history' persona and am 1000% pleased with the fit and appearance. Both items look great in the website photos but are even more impressive in person. Really liked the higher neckline on this vest and the 4 pockets in front are perfect for everything from my pocket watch to a small bottle of 'cure all'.

I ordered the whole suit; Frock coat, pants, vest and spats. Great quality. I'm 6'2" 215lbs and the XLs are a little on the large size, but I'll be getting them tailored. Not sure if the large would have done it, so not a big issue. LOOKS GREAT. Good weight to the fabric.

I've wanted a white waistcoat for years, and now I have one. One of the amazing things about it it is that the white-on-white brocade has colour-shifting properties that can make the brocade look a pale shade of glacier-blue in the right light. A masterwork.

This vest is made of the same matching pinstriped cotton fabric as the Henderson trousers. l ordered the vest because I liked the pants I had ordered previously. Fits great. They go together with a black velvet jacket and black derby hat I have for a Gene Barry "Bat Masterson" look.

I bought this vest to match the Henderson trousers I bought to complete my outfit for valentines day in the evening for the Philadelphia monster ball. I have worn both the vest and the trousers multiple times since then and constantly get complimented on my outfit. Everyone of my friends says the vest is marvelous and just looks so sharp. I like this item because it is unusual and rich-looking without being obvious.
The material is thick and tweed-like, and this makes the pattern and colors appear more subtle than the photo might indicate. Unfortunately it also picks up lint rather easily; don't wear it with any item that may shed. But that's the only criticism I have.
It's well made. The pattern is well matched, which I often don't find even in more expensive items from higher-end retailers. You must button/unbutton all eight buttons as none are just for show. The fit is good with minimal or no taper. That's good news for those of us who don't have designer bodies.
Overall, I highly recommend this.
