We ordered this along with a tail coat for a Halloween costume. I needed help to make sure I was getting the right size, and I was concerned about receiving it in time. I received the vest ahead of projected schedule, it fits perfectly, and the quality is great!

I like this item because it is unusual and rich-looking without being obvious. The material is thick and tweed-like, and this makes the pattern and colors appear more subtle than the photo might indicate. Unfortunately it also picks up lint rather easily; don't wear it with any item that may shed. But that's the only criticism I have. It's well made. The pattern is well matched, which I often don't find even in more expensive items from higher-end retailers. You must button/unbutton all eight buttons as none are just for show. The fit is good with minimal or no taper. That's good news for those of us who don't have designer bodies. Overall, I highly recommend this.

This Double breasted vest is of great quality. It is tube shaped rather than tapered so gives a little more room to breath so to speak. Match your size according to the larger; belly or chest. The 36 fit for my husband who normally wears 34 pants. We paired it with two different shirts, the Virgil and Bellamy for different looks. The quality is wonderful, the customer service was 10 out of 10. I would highly recommend any products from Historical Emporium.

I can hardly find anything negative to say! Perfect fit, comfortable, and not too badly priced!

XXL fits larger than expected, but not drastically. Canvas feels durable. Lighter and cooler than expected. Pockets are reasonably sized and useful.

The vest is surprisingly thick and warm, and the stitching is carefully done. The double buttons are not for show but are all functional. The sizing was also perfect. I am more than pleased with the vest, obviously, and it arrived quickly after purchase.

I was underprepared for just how thick and durable this vest was going to be. It really is a thick canvas material and pairs well with canvas trousers for a formal look that is still functional for work. Do not recommend wearing this on a hot day though, it is seriously a thick fabric. The fabric is so thick I struggle to get my US Marshal badge through the fabric for my cosplay XD!

I wear a vest all year long, and have many vests. This one is for more dress up occasions and it did the trick. Was impressed with the quality and look.I will be back for other items.

When I got my two piece tailcoat set, my intention was not to do full white tie. But then I needed the shirt for my livery and the tie as well and hey, in for a penny, in for a pound! I like it very much. As with the rest, it's well constructed. It took me a second to figure out how it's worn, as it's quite a different cut than I'm used to, but ones on it fits nicely (a concern with any vest, but particularly men's) and looks grand!

The vest is well made, with good quality fabric. Just wish the pocket welts were actually pockets, as my husband wears a pocket watch and chain with his Victorian and Edwardian dress. I am a costume designer and maker, so I will add the pockets myself.

This vest looks great with my husband's Victorian tux with tails. It bulges out at the sides a little, but you can't see it with the tux jacket on. We use this for historical dancing, so he's not supposed to remove his jacket on the dance floor anyway. So, it works fine for us. Looks fantastic when he's got everything on together. Thank you.

I didn't care for the fabric of the vest and have returned it back to Historical Emporium for a refund.
