The French cuffs are wonderful and the cuff link openings are made tight to retain cuff links well.

Very well made. Sturdy material. Collar is as advertised, tall. Fit comes just underneath the jawline. Cuffs are magnificent as they are a true fold over French cuff in every sense. Cufflink holes line up on the mark. These are not conversion cuffs as there are no buttons, so keep that in mind when ordering. Sleeves are a bit long for me. Bought a size large. I'm a 16-161/2 neck with a 34/35 sleeve. Easy remedy is to buy a pair of sleeve garters. Problem solved. As with all the shirts I've purchased here, very satisfied. Will wrinkle when laundered so be ready for some starch and ironing.

The shirt fit as expected per the measurements and sizing chart. The quality of the fabric and sewing are excellent. Sleeves were a bit longer than expected, but that gave a good, baggy/slouchy sleeve look, which I liked. The collar and shoulders were proper tightness to complete the high-collar look for my outfit.

I just simply needed a classically designed shirt for a semi dressy outfit with my new Callahan Frock Coat. I'm a retired architect and a jewelry artist, and I prefer distinctive clothing. I'm in the process of making a very special hand carved Australian Opal and yellow 18k gold-set bola tie to wear with this outfit. The shirt's tailoring and fit is just what I was hoping for. I normally wear an extra large and this shirt is an extra large. It fits perfectly and no alteration is needed.

These "old style" western shirts are so comfortable and cool that they can even be worn in this Texas heat! The puffy sleeves permit air-flow and do not cling to one's arms like modern western shirts. Those people of yesteryear who didn't have air-conditioning knew what they were doing. I wear Western Emporium attire on a daily basis and the compliments at WALMART, KROGER, McD's, never stop. When people inquire, I always proudly mention Western Emporium. Western Emporium attire has replaced my old wardrobe entirely ... and permanently. These clothes suit me and they make a statement: "I don't have to be like everybody else, because I'm not." This is not for pride or arrogance, it is for being free to be who I want to be and I like what Western Emporium provides.

The Morgan shirt was everything I was hoping for. Nice soft material and in a beautiful shade of blue. Overall quality is excellent and I am tempted to buy another!

This isn’t a costume shirt, it’s a dress shirt designed to the style of a former era, so I expected a lot and it is nearly perfect. Purchased for a Regency/Bridgerton costume to wear with vest and stock. My husband has sensory issues (autism, ADHD) so nothing but a cotton or linen shirt works. This was the only 100% cotton one I found. Seams and buttonholes are dress shirt quality, as expected. No loose threads. Collar has a loop on the back to secure a tie. Collar is double thickness and opaque, stands up on its own but will need ironing and starching. Body of the shirt is slightly translucent - without a vest, an undershirt will be necessary, but it will be cool in summer. Cut is era-appropriately boxy to loose. Lots of ease across the back with pleating. My husband is a chest size 44, but shoulders are 46 so we ordered XL. Turns out he could have sized down to L, as the shoulders are 1/2” past his natural shoulder, but as Regent shoulders were drop shoulders anyway, we’re keeping it. My husband is 6’, but with a 31” inseam so his torso fits like a 6’2” person. The length is perfect, and even at 6’4” you likely could get away with it, though it may be a little harder to keep tucked in is you’re doing more than walking and sitting. We’re very pleased with the shirt and I suspect he’ll look for other occasions and ways to wear it, because it’s so comfy. Photos are hung up wet to drip dry. Relatively wrinkle free, but needs ironing and collar...

Our grand daughter has chosen the theme of late Victorian for her wedding. Her colors are red and Gold. The first coat, shirt and pants that I ordered were too big and I needed to return them for the next smaller size. The exchange was accomplished within 5 days. A company rep. was very helpful when I called about the problem. The replacement garments are a good fit although I will need a small alteration to the vest because my middle is larger than my chest. Quality & workmanship of clothing is excellent and I expect that they will last for many years.... and Never go out of style. Thank you! I plan to order additional items in future.

The blouse is well-made and finished off nicely on the inside. The fabric is soft but not flimsy, making it comfortable to wear. The I am five-foot-one, so was concerned about the sleeve length and shoulder width, but the blouse fits well, so I won't need to make any alterations to it. The height of the collar is a bit higher than any other blouse I have, but it doesn't touch the bottom of my chin. The bodice is longer than other blouses I usually wear, but since I am going to be tucking it inside my skirt, that isn't going to be a problem. Based on the fabric used and the quality of the finished product, the price is reasonable, compared to other blouses you would buy at a department store. Even though the blouse was special ordered, I received it many days sooner than the promised delivery date.

Worn with classic honey-colored Edwardian suit. Very comfortable and well made. I always sew in a Velcro spot at the neck seam if anticipating wearing a broach. The invisible spot reinforces the seam placement when holding the extra weight of the broach and prevents gaping.

Nice white blouse with pretty lace detail

This beautiful blouse is lined with the scratchiest sleeve heads (to make the sleeves stand out.) They are so abrasive that they made red welts on my shoulders. Fortunately, I was able to cover the raw edge of the sleeve head with some bias tape. Now the blouse is as comfortable as it is beautiful. The fabric is very good quality and in the workmanship other than the sleeve heads is excellent. The fit is mostly as specified. The cuffs on the sleeves are a bit peculiar in that they are cylindrical in shape rather than tapering toward the wrist. I can set over the buttons to make them look right, but the forearm is not cylindrical in shape and the long cuffs should not be either.

This blouse arrived quickly & was packaged well. It's beautiful & I received many compliments when I wore it as part of my Edwardian outfit in a parade. The only reason I had to give it 4 instead of 5 stars is that the stitching inside the shoulders is very scratchy.

I needed a roomier blouse to wear for walking tours. This blouse, though not "authentic" gives the impression, fits well, and is room enough to enjoy wearing it in hot, active situations.

I wore this blouse for an 1894 costume while attending a Victorian Garden Party. It was perfect. The fit was just as expected. It is well-made. If you need a blouse like this, you can't go wrong getting this one.

I love this shirt! The only drawback is that it is 100% cotton, so it requires ironing. (Good for authenticity; not good for regular wear.) It would be nice if some of the clothing had "easy care" fabric-blend options.

This is a beautiful blouse but the fit was off on me. It gapped at the bust& the shoulders were a smidge too small but the sleeves were too long. Again, a lovely, well made blouse but just didn’t fit my athletic body type which is the ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars & not 5.

This blouse was pretty true to size, but did shrink slightly in the cold water wash, which was great for me. The blouse needs to be a bit more fitted, but a few darts will solve the problem, as wearing a corset gives it much more structure and period authenticity. The blouse would be even greater if it was lined, as the material allows the corset to show, so must wear a corset cover. Overall, I love this blouse!

I was amazed at how beautiful this blouset was. The details and workmanship were just wonderful. There were two problems though. I had to get a 2XL based on the measurement chart. I have never been even close to 2XL in my life. I would probably get the 1XL size for a blouse from Historical Emporium next time I order and I will buy again. But this blouse fits fine. I swear that the sleeves were the length of an orangutan's arms. I had to cut 4-5 inches off of them. Luckily I can sew and the sleeves/cuffs were sewn on in such a manner that the sleeve was easily separated from the cuff, sleeve shortened, and sewed back so that you can not tell that the cuff was ever touched. I am 5'6" and have a normal arm length. I think someone who is shorter than I, but still fits the sizing, will have a much bigger problem. Note that I had the same problem, and will be making this same comment, on the Tabitha outfit. I hope HE can correct this sizing problem. I may not always be able to accommodate the construction changes that will probably be necessary. Good thing I sew well, just to lazy to make my own outfits.

I love the way it looked on me! The sleeves around the wrists are a little too loose for my liking, but it's an easy fix. Apart from that it's a well made shirt and it feels comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

Beautiful blouse, fits so good! Great fabric and workmanship. The only cons is pricky material used in shoulder wings which hold puff sleeves. If the makers would manage turn the ends of the netting they used there not to the human size, but to the top side of the sleeve, the blouse would be perfect. I solved the problem adding extra fabric layer over pricky piece and it worked.

I love the blouse. I love the color and the addition of small pleats across front. It wears well and looks lovely. My only concern is when comparing it to my other, same sized blouse purchased from you, this one is not as roomy across the bust line. I imagine the addition of the pleats gathered some of the looseness found in other style.

I have a white blouse from this company in size medium that fits perfectly. I ordered this one in medium as well but it runs larger. If I'd tried it on, I would probably have purchased a small. Also I didn't care for the white trim at the cuffs and collar so I removed it. The blouse is of excellent weight material and well finished and made.

Im impressed with the sizing guide on the website. We ordered per my husbands neck size which is one size up from his shirt size. The neck fits crisply and the larger shirt itself is within the vest as if it were his size. The fabric of the shirt is also a nice quality and the folding and packaging of the shirt was clean and allowed for very little wrinkling.

Certain times and events call for an assortment in wardrobe selections. Even era specific attire for the aficionado must be of varied content. This particular shirt with emphasis on the high collar as well as the bib chest is a great addition to one's collection. The high collar is still within comfort height for fashionable Victorian Era dinners and evening attire with just enough accent to, "get noticed and noted". No collection of any caliber should be without an all around dress shirt that is comfortable and fits very well. "Please pase th'jelly!" EGAD!

The high stand collar fit my Black Godfrey Tie. It was for a installation church service. My wife is now an full-time Pastor. I wanted to wear a period style outfit, similar to Fredrick Douglas.

I am 6'3" with a long torso and arms...and finding shirts that fit properly is tough, even if one is not shopping for "antique" style garments and costumes, I worried about getting a 5X, instead of the X4, which is the size of my normal construction work shirts I wear. But, the X4 size fit me perfectly, with the sleeves actually being slightly too long...something I was hoping for...and why I ordered the sleeve garters, just for this reason. Great quality!!
