After returning first holster because it was too big I received second holster and the belt was too tight to go in buckle without a little forcing. Also although being 2" smaller I still had to put belt in next to last notch to keep it up. I have a 36" waist and ordered a 40" belt the second time. I believe belts should fit in center hole to look right. Otherwise it is a beautifully made and sturdy outfit.

The holster is beautiful but it's a little small what can I do.

I’ll skip the 5 star explanation; after all, one quick scan of this site and you’ll see countless 5 stars. Instead, I’ll focus on the product. I received a size 56 belt, single action army, .38/.357 caliber right hand draw holster combo in black. What can I say, I’m a large guy. I’ve own(ed) and professionally used countless holster/belts (to include wearing out a few) over 30 years. I also worked at a very large big box sporting Goods Company selling many of their rigs for every reason/season imaginable so I'll self-proclaim my expertise here. That said, before I lead with the phrase “for the price”, I need to back up and state, this holster/belt combo is by far more than what I expected. The quality is excellent, having 45 loops evenly stitched, both horizontally and vertically, while securely gripping each round was a pleasant surprise. The scalloped flower pattern is deep and tastefully done, the black dye did not bleed over any part of my clothing, the holster holds all of my SAAs (5.5 BBL) tightly once you’ve press and form the opening per instruction (if needed, this isn’t an absolute), and the fasteners, buckle and overall appearance is very good. I warn those who like to fast draw their SAA a lot, the trigger housing is completely cover (not accessible once holstered) and although the stitching contacting this point is reinforced, forcefully holstering your gun could split it over time. I purchased the Western Gun Belt and Holster for my .45 cal revolver. The belt measurement suggestion was accurate and I ended up with a good fit. The ammo loops were also a good fit. The holster itself worked very nicely. My pistol fit well with only minor, simple adjustment. The quality of the leather is very good. Overall, an excellent Western Gun Belt and Holster.

I love it . My gun fits perfect and it is comfortable to wear . For the money you can't go wrong . I am by no means any kind of expert but the grain and color and stitching looks great . To me the color is more brown than the picture . But it is what I was hoping for .

I'm not really into the cowboy scene but with my purchase of a new western styled revolver, I had to complete the collection with a western styled holster and belt. I looked at several other sites including Amazon and saw what they had to offer. Unfortunately looking at photos really won't show the quality and I had to go by price. While those sites offered cheaper rigs, this one was in the higher price range, but had better reviews and did look great in the photos, so I ordered it. The sales person was easy to talk too, knew the holster I was looking at and while never gave a sale pitch to buy it, she did explain the quality and look of the rig. When it arrived, it was much better than I expected with very high quality leather, a good fit for the gun and it looks great. It was definitely worth the money. I did order the size recommended which was 4" bigger than my waist it was a perfect fit. The buckle is clean and easy to use, the hammer strap is just right and easy to adjust, and as I mentioned, it fit my Uberti .45 5 1/3" pistol just right. I do recommend this or other designs from this company.

Made in Mexico, I really expected better quality. The leather is thin and looks to be poor quality. It doesnt look like it would last very long.

Not true to size. Dying of the leather was uneven and splotchy. Construction was shoddy especially at the buckle end of the gunbelt.

Fabulous belt. Measurement process is perfect. I used my shotshell bag to get the proper fit/slant. Pant size is 34 but belt fit measured to 42. My Colt 45 fits perfect. Only improvement will be to upgrade the buckle to a beefy brass unit. Will also need to oil the leg strap and hammer strap so they're more soft and flexible. Outstanding fit, finish, and gun fit!

It's well made, well sized, and so far has no issues with a weighty .357. I don't find my own rounds in the dirt and off my belt, that is to say the ammunition loops do their jobs with 9mm, .357, and .38. I've shoved some 30-30 in there too while in the mountains. Looks good, looks gaudy, fits well, won't dump your pistol or ammo in the dirt before you're done with em. Comfortable to ride with, walk with, or sit with. Is it silly n' gaudy to wear this around? As gaudy as silver spurs with jinglebobs, but I've never known a buckaroo to shy away from flashy.

Exceptional Quality.

This is a really nice gun belt for the money. Think they are made in Mexico but you can get a lot of nice leather products in Mexico if you've ever been down there. Not sure if it's hand-tooled or not but the tooling is beautiful. Leather is thick and it has heavy duty stitching so I have no doubt that it will hold up for years to come. Everything is pretty stiff so I've been applying leather conditioner to mine to get it softened up. I ended up also buying their cross draw holster in the same color and it matched perfectly. Wanted to get geared up to start going to S.A.S.S. matches and this rig should work just fine. Everyone that sees it comments on how nice it is and can't believe how affordable it was. I am a 34 waist so I opted to get the 40" belt and it worked out pretty well. It's in the middle hole for me and it sits cocked down at an angle just below my regular belt. Inside of the holster is rigid and slightly bigger than my Uberti 1873 Cattleman II so the draw is quick but it certainly won't fall out plus it has a retention strap that goes around the hammer of the gun that is adjustable. Not much more to say...if you're looking for a gun belt you certainly can't go wrong with this one. Just watch your sizing. Gonna want to go up at least 2 sizes if not 3.

I am very pleased with the Gun Belt and Holster..I did Order the .38 / .357 but it does not fit me Ruger .357..GP 100. The Trigger guard needs a cut-out for it to slide in all the way.

Made really well with a nice pattern, my Taylor's and company 357 fit awesome and the bullets fit perfect in the belt. Only issue but not a big deal is Im a 32 waist and got a 34 but probably would have got a 36 if I had it to do over, just a little snug.

Product was as described. I wear a size 33 pants and ordered a size 38 like the instructions said. Fit perfect. Beautiful leather work and i love the smell of the fresh leather. Fits 45 long colt like a glove. I paid twice as much for one that doesn't compare to this one. Will order from again soon.

I am glad I went with the Two tone Brown. The tooling and reliefs are done with love and care. Too bad cartridges are unavailable or I would tell how they fit although judging from experience I think they'll fit nice and snug. It is a work of art and a utility all in one my compliments to the crafter of my gun belt and thank you.

Fits like a dream (once I got the measurements right) holds my Ruger Blackhawk like a glove. Make sure you measure the way they show you... if you are in a hurry, you will be returning it. But the customer service goes above and beyond to make you happy!.

I bought this for my husband. He loves it!!! Real strong leather smell, I like that but his allergies wont let him be around his holster til it airs out a bit.

Got my rig and loved. Unfortunately a problem developed after minimal use rendering holster unusable. Contacted customer service and sent pictures. They replaced rig free of charge and even let me keep first one. No questions asked. New rig is just as wonderful and is, so far, problem free. Revolver even fits better in this one.

This holster is nice. The materials and craftsmanship are better than I would expect at this price. If you are looking for a holster close to custom leather work that will fit your hard caliber revolver, I recommend this one. I've not seen better in this price range and have seen worse that cost more. I don't have hours of wear on the belt, but it appears to be built for purpose and not just some costume or show piece. Keep in mind that their measurements are tight and you will get what you order. You should do your measurements when wearing thick pants with full pockets and not in gym shorts like I did. The gun belt is a little snug worn over my jeans. I should have gone up another size but that is my fault. If anything it proves the listing is true to its word. They warn you several times in the description to be sure of your measurements and they mean it.

Perfect fit for my .45 single action pistol. It's a great fit & looks good too. You can't go wrong for the price.

this holster is 1 1/2" too short for my 8" .44 new model army. the holster is VERY loose and despite the "steel" layer inside, ostensibly used for crushing the holster flatter, it is nevertheless way too wide. looks real chineese. good costume gag but not functional.

The gun belt holster is the real deal. Not a toy. Solidly built. I will be taking this belt out hunting out in the woods and I don't expect any problems. If... I were to make one complaint, I think the manufacturer may have cut the large part of the belt behind the buckling strap a little short. Only the two inside holes for the buckling strap could be used. If I were to let it out to the third hole or farther the larger belt can't reach the loop that holds it in place behind the buckle. Luckily for me the 2nd to the tightest hole was the one that fits me. But if I ever needed to let it out any further the belt won't stay in place. Other than that... A#1 !!!

The quality of these gun belts is way better than I thought. It's absolutely gorgeous. I have not been able to use it yet as I had to send it back for an exchange because I ordered the wrong size and it falls off without the gun in it. I would recommend this gun belt and holster combo to anyone looking for a nice addition to their revolver. I will say though don't follow their sizing chart though I ordered a 44 and probably needed a 40 I ordered a 38 for my exchange as I'm still loosing weight and figured it has 6-8 inches of adjustment. Hope this helps anyone that's really interested.

I bought this for a .357 mag Ruger Super Blackhawk with a 6.5 inch barrel. Reading reviews and seeing the price I was skeptical and anticipated having to return it when it arrived. There is a lot online about how the sizing recommendations for the belt listed on the Historical Emporium website was wrong and as waste of money. Well. I ordered this (and two others for a .22 6.5" barrel and and a .44 mag Super blackhawk 7.5" barrel) and the online order was very easy for me, despite the website looking older then most found today (I struggle to order amazon crap effectively). I ordered the sizing of the belt as directed on the website and after submitting the order, I got an email saying it would arrive in 10 days approximately, and a tracking number (this was on Thursday night at 1900 ish) A big blizzard storm blew in the next day and by Saturday we had a foot of snow. To my amazement, I received an email informing me they would arrive before noon. And they did! They were packed excellently. After opening I was stunned by the quality. I couldn't hardly talk for a min. The revolvers fit like a glove! I put them on one by one and they fit exactly as stated on the website. I was so impressed and shocked I actually called Historical Emporium that minute and left a very long voicemail gushing about how shocked and happy and thankful I was for them. I love the look of the belt & holster but I followed the directions when sizing my belt and the belt I ordered was far too large. I returned it and got the next size down and that belt was too large. Now I'm returning this belt and I am requesting one that is 6" smaller than my originial purchase. My complaint is everytime I send the belt back I'm paying shipping both ways. This next belt will be my 3rd belt.

I was really impressed by the quality of this holster, not just for the price point, but in general. The description is spot on, this is a real full grain leather holster with beautiful tooling and great attention to detail. The only gripe I have is that there are only 11 bullet loops on the belt I received. Now, I don't know if this is because I'm a skinny guy (30 inch waist) and ordered the smallest size, or because they only come with 11 loops. Your mileage may vary.

I had been wanting to upgrade my double holster for sometime and had found cheaper ones online but the quality of the others were very poor. This one from the Historical Emporium cost a bit more but it made up for the quality, the amazing tooling and the feel once i put it on had my guns in it. I recommend it so much that I will be looking at getting a second one in the future

Love the double holster and presents well at cowboy shoots. Originally ordered per sizing chart but had to return/exchange for smaller size. Chart said to add 4" for my waist size but it was too large, exchanged for a size that matched my waist and it fit perfectly for my hips. Customer service rep (Leonard?) was a huge help, responsive to queries and updates on exchange status. Would definitely purchase from them in future.

I ordered a size too small I think, but I'm breaking in the leather still. Still fits well and holds my tools. Backing material that shows on the holster proper looks very cheap/papery. I'd recommend refinishing that bit or doing something with it. Everything else is good quality leather and construction. Designs are reminiscent of some leatherwork an old Mexican Vaquero friend of mine made for my 30-30, and as such fit right in with the rest of my custom leatherwork items. Though this isn't "custom", it is hand made in Mexico and made well. Designs may have variation as they are, again, hand stamped,

I am extremely pleased with the quality of this gun belt and holster! There’s nothing like the smell snd feel of good quality leather! The leather is a very good quality with beautiful tooling done to perfection! The stitching was solid and evenly done. The cartridge loops are perfect for 357mag cartridges. The quality is such that if I saw it in a leather goods shop I would expect to pay hundreds of dollars more than I paid! I would highly recommend this product to someone wanting a belt that will give them years of service!

Make sure to check sizes carefully! The quality and tooling of the leather is wonderful, especially for the price. Buy the right size and it fits like a glove. I wear my pants low on my hips and buy pants with a 32" waist. I bought the 36" holster and only have one more punch hole to loosen it before it doesn't fit. There is a few punch holes to make it tighter, however. Once it's on, it is very comfortable and sturdy.

Although personally I’d rather a simpler design, and maybe a smaller profile around the holster, it worked perfectly as both a belt and great piece for a cosplay I had done. It feels extremely durable so I know this will last for a long while, though I may not use it more than a few times. Worth the price for good craftsmanship

Just needed some gun leather for a couple of my 1873 colt clones. Holsters and belts fit and look like they should be in the 50's and 60's western movies I watched my cowboy hero's root and shoot them up in. I don my leather gun rig stand in front of the mirror and I'm a kid again. Of course, I skip the broom stick horse part. Seriously though, the holsters look great, do the job and for hundreds of dollars less then custom leather rigs. and i didn't have to wait 8 weeks to 4 months to get them. I got them in less than a week.

i wear a 36 pants, i ordered a 42 inch holster which was perfect. bullets fit well on the 357 loops. All in all im pretty happy with my purchase.

Ruger single actions fit nicely, well crafted..

This is my second holster from Historical Emporium. I received the holster last week, and I was very pleased with it. I was unsure what size to order because my hips are smaller than my waist. I called and got advice for the right size so it fits well. The only problem I had was that it was difficult to slip the cartridges in their holders with my arthritic hands. Anyway, I succeeded, but the .357s will probably stay there as I will shoot the cheaper .38s.

I bought this holster for my two six shooters, Ruger Vaquero Bisleys with 5.5" barrels, and I love it. They are for my first foray into cowboy shooting, and it looks and feels (and smells!) great! I had to make a change to get the right size, my waste is about 32" and the 34" belt fits well. The customer service was fantastic! Note to future buyers- the belt is not straight. If you lay it flat, it is curved, and the size is based on the distance across the top of the curve. But that curve is what lets the belt sit flat around the hips. I will be back for more authentic cowboy clothes and accessories!

I had been searching for sometime for a dual holster with appeal as well as being useful. This holster was absolutely fantastic. The tooling on it was unbelievably terrific.
