It would have been a five-star but for one reason
The suspenders look great and the elastic matches with the canvas perfectly in the back so you can't tell the difference between the two. However the buttonholes on the ends are riveted to the suspenders and cannot be changed out when they wear out later on.

Let me caveat this by saying this is my first ever set of suspenders.
And I must say, I quite like them. They're adjustable and the elastic straps allow for some literal wiggle room. When paired with pants that also have buttons for suspenders, it's a winning combo.

They fit my 5 foot 9 inch frame perfectly and the elastic has just enough give to be very comfortable for all day wear while still keeping my trousers securely in place. At the ripe young age of 42, this is honestly my first serious pair of suspenders (that weren't clip-on and mock-ups of the ones Robin Williams wore on Mork & Mindy). Combined with a proper set of trousers, I felt way too comfortable. I need more of these in my life. These are worn underneath of the waistcoat so nobody really gets to see them... except my wife as I'm taking all of the layers off. And she seems to think they look really fine on me. As far as I'm concerned, that's the final word.

These are good braces. I got the shorter ones which work a bit better with high-waisted trousers. It would be ideal, however, if the Emporium carried braces/suspenders specifically designed for high-waisted trousers (e.g. with shorter runner ends etc.)

These are legitimate, tough, real leather braces. They are stiff brand new but a little use and even some leather treatment form them up nicely.
They are unique and very stylish in addition to being "bullet-proof."
I deducted a star because they very nearly didn't fit. I'm 6'3 and have them near the bottom most loops which created a hoop at the point of attachment to the button gussets which is annoying and unsightly but they are slowly stretching around to be flatter against the abdomen.
If you are over 6'3 or have a long torso you might consider a different set.

These braces offer the ultimate in a refined look. Comfort is not an issue with these braces but for lots of movement they are not on par with canvass braces. The elastic strap on the back brace does add a lot to the comfort.

I've been ogling these for about a year so when an excuse (in the form of a 20s party) came up, I had to take it. I received more compliments on these, than any other part of my outfit. Good quality, great looks. Equally fitting in an industrial club and at the office. My only (minor) complaint is purely aesthetic. That being that the tabs that attach to the pants are longer than I prefer. I like my braces to start at the top of my pants, where with these, there is about an inch of tab showing before the braid starts. Again just personal preference. Other than that, great buy and has quickly become a regular part of my wardrobe

needs tension band
Nice quality suspender but the front button loops should have a tension band to snug the slack. I tied mine up with a faux leather
string. Now they are not adjustable but look good and work for me.

These suspenders are way too long. Yes, after their arrival, I checked the web site and it did say 48inchs. I am 5, 7 and the adjustment buckle came up on my shoulders. This was not the look I wanted.
I reworked them. I cut 3 inches off the back strap and around 6 off each front leather strap.

Hi guys- Let me say that your shirts that i buy from you are always great. BUT BUT you need to offer them in a larger neck size.BUT a large shirt like i wear only has a 16.5 neck well i need a 17 or 17.5 because i only buy band collars. some fit some dont. gee see what you can do.
