It would have been a five-star but for one reason
The suspenders look great and the elastic matches with the canvas perfectly in the back so you can't tell the difference between the two. However the buttonholes on the ends are riveted to the suspenders and cannot be changed out when they wear out later on.

They fit my 5 foot 9 inch frame perfectly and the elastic has just enough give to be very comfortable for all day wear while still keeping my trousers securely in place. At the ripe young age of 42, this is honestly my first serious pair of suspenders (that weren't clip-on and mock-ups of the ones Robin Williams wore on Mork & Mindy). Combined with a proper set of trousers, I felt way too comfortable. I need more of these in my life. These are worn underneath of the waistcoat so nobody really gets to see them... except my wife as I'm taking all of the layers off. And she seems to think they look really fine on me. As far as I'm concerned, that's the final word.

I've been ogling these for about a year so when an excuse (in the form of a 20s party) came up, I had to take it. I received more compliments on these, than any other part of my outfit. Good quality, great looks. Equally fitting in an industrial club and at the office. My only (minor) complaint is purely aesthetic. That being that the tabs that attach to the pants are longer than I prefer. I like my braces to start at the top of my pants, where with these, there is about an inch of tab showing before the braid starts. Again just personal preference. Other than that, great buy and has quickly become a regular part of my wardrobe

Nice quality suspender but the front button loops should have a tension band to snug the slack. I tied mine up with a faux leather
string. Now they are not adjustable but look good and work for me.

These suspenders are way too long. Yes, after their arrival, I checked the web site and it did say 48inchs. I am 5, 7 and the adjustment buckle came up on my shoulders. This was not the look I wanted.
I reworked them. I cut 3 inches off the back strap and around 6 off each front leather strap.

Hi guys- Let me say that your shirts that i buy from you are always great. BUT BUT you need to offer them in a larger neck size.BUT a large shirt like i wear only has a 16.5 neck well i need a 17 or 17.5 because i only buy band collars. some fit some dont. gee see what you can do. These are good braces. I got the shorter ones which work a bit better with high-waisted trousers. It would be ideal, however, if the Emporium carried braces/suspenders specifically designed for high-waisted trousers (e.g. with shorter runner ends etc.)

These were exactly what I hoped for
I like to CosPlay a number of Steam Punk characters and needed appropriate, durable ''bracers'' for some working man roles. These look really good with a nice natural off-white color. The straps to attach them to the pant's buttons are a nice heavier weight and add to the look i wanted. They are comfortable and fit my rotund 6 foot body with adjustment to spare. If you are looking for the right suspenders for a 49er miner, Victorian working person or other not-so-dressy suspender these look great.

I ordered these with a pair of trousers. It's not rocket science to figure out how to use suspenders. They're made of fine quality but the only issue I have is the adjusters don't hold very tightly. They're awfully loose. Still these are pretty good for the price and quality.

Nice looking suspenders but I have to side with "variable". The elastic back strap is very long and I, being of average size, have the Y up on my neck when wearing them with high waisted trousers. Need to shorten the back by sewing it in folds. Hope that works and makes them wearable. Otherwise they look and feel sturdy and of good quality.

Though these suspenders are nice to look at they are very long in the back and if worn with period pants the 'Y' will ride up at your neck very quickly if you are anything larger than medium build. The front button loops are pretty, but the leather is weak and they are the exact same length, which causes the inside loop to take all the strain and the outside loop to blouse, often coming undone. Good enough for a costume showpiece, but not for real daily wear.

Let me caveat this by saying this is my first ever set of suspenders.
And I must say, I quite like them. They're adjustable and the elastic straps allow for some literal wiggle room. When paired with pants that also have buttons for suspenders, it's a winning combo.
