Too small. Can't send it all the way back to the USA to get the proper size. It wouldn't be worth it after shipping and duties. I already spent a lot of money on it. Disappointed but there's not anything I can do about it. Not your fault. My goof and now I've got to live with it. It's a shame. It's such a great looking belt. Overall I was satisfied. The tooling is very nice and it seems to be of good quality. Some of the cartridge loops are extremely tight so I am trying to stretch them out. One of the leather laces for the revolver hammer was cut very thin which will probably break after enough use, it will be easy to have it replaced. For the the money I would recommend it as one can not find a tooled belt with two holsters for less cost.

this holster is 1 1/2" too short for my 8" .44 new model army. the holster is VERY loose and despite the "steel" layer inside, ostensibly used for crushing the holster flatter, it is nevertheless way too wide. looks real chineese. good costume gag but not functional.

The gun belt holster is the real deal. Not a toy. Solidly built. I will be taking this belt out hunting out in the woods and I don't expect any problems. If... I were to make one complaint, I think the manufacturer may have cut the large part of the belt behind the buckling strap a little short. Only the two inside holes for the buckling strap could be used. If I were to let it out to the third hole or farther the larger belt can't reach the loop that holds it in place behind the buckle. Luckily for me the 2nd to the tightest hole was the one that fits me. But if I ever needed to let it out any further the belt won't stay in place. Other than that... A#1 !!!

The gun belt/holster was quality construction. Other reviews mentioned the strong dye aroma. I wiped it down with a soft cotton cloth per the enclosed instructions and let it hang in the garage for a few days. Plus I coated it with some mink oil and it was fine. The cartridge loops hold the .45 Colt cartridges snugly, and my Colt SAA fits like it's been in that holster for years. A lighter color in this model would be a nice option.

I bought this for a .357 mag Ruger Super Blackhawk with a 6.5 inch barrel. Reading reviews and seeing the price I was skeptical and anticipated having to return it when it arrived. There is a lot online about how the sizing recommendations for the belt listed on the Historical Emporium website was wrong and as waste of money. Well. I ordered this (and two others for a .22 6.5" barrel and and a .44 mag Super blackhawk 7.5" barrel) and the online order was very easy for me, despite the website looking older then most found today (I struggle to order amazon crap effectively). I ordered the sizing of the belt as directed on the website and after submitting the order, I got an email saying it would arrive in 10 days approximately, and a tracking number (this was on Thursday night at 1900 ish) A big blizzard storm blew in the next day and by Saturday we had a foot of snow. To my amazement, I received an email informing me they would arrive before noon. And they did! They were packed excellently. After opening I was stunned by the quality. I couldn't hardly talk for a min. The revolvers fit like a glove! I put them on one by one and they fit exactly as stated on the website. I was so impressed and shocked I actually called Historical Emporium that minute and left a very long voicemail gushing about how shocked and happy and thankful I was for them. I love the look of the belt & holster but I followed the directions when sizing my belt and the belt I ordered was far too large. I returned it and got the next size down and that belt was too large. Now I'm returning this belt and I am requesting one that is 6" smaller than my originial purchase. My complaint is everytime I send the belt back I'm paying shipping both ways. This next belt will be my 3rd belt.

I was really impressed by the quality of this holster, not just for the price point, but in general. The description is spot on, this is a real full grain leather holster with beautiful tooling and great attention to detail. The only gripe I have is that there are only 11 bullet loops on the belt I received. Now, I don't know if this is because I'm a skinny guy (30 inch waist) and ordered the smallest size, or because they only come with 11 loops. Your mileage may vary.

I purchased this item for my Ruger revolver. The holster is excellent quality and after following the instructions, it fits my gun very well. I followed the sizing instructions and ordered the size indicated. The belt runs on the big side. I have to put the belt in the very last hole to fit properly. If you are in between sizes, order the smaller one.

The holster was to big for my Colt 22 revolver even after adjusting the size per the online directions. Was able to put the holster (which fit my Colt 22 revolver) on the belt which came with the holster. Now I has an outfit which is usable. Would like to see holster belts, like the one ordered offered without the holster so that one would not have to order a complete outfit (belt and holster) if one's waist size changed.

I purchased the Western Gun Belt and Holster for my .45 cal revolver. The belt measurement suggestion was accurate and I ended up with a good fit. The ammo loops were also a good fit. The holster itself worked very nicely. My pistol fit well with only minor, simple adjustment. The quality of the leather is very good. Overall, an excellent Western Gun Belt and Holster.

I'm not really into the cowboy scene but with my purchase of a new western styled revolver, I had to complete the collection with a western styled holster and belt. I looked at several other sites including Amazon and saw what they had to offer. Unfortunately looking at photos really won't show the quality and I had to go by price. While those sites offered cheaper rigs, this one was in the higher price range, but had better reviews and did look great in the photos, so I ordered it. The sales person was easy to talk too, knew the holster I was looking at and while never gave a sale pitch to buy it, she did explain the quality and look of the rig. When it arrived, it was much better than I expected with very high quality leather, a good fit for the gun and it looks great. It was definitely worth the money. I did order the size recommended which was 4" bigger than my waist it was a perfect fit. The buckle is clean and easy to use, the hammer strap is just right and easy to adjust, and as I mentioned, it fit my Uberti .45 5 1/3" pistol just right. I do recommend this or other designs from this company.

Made in Mexico, I really expected better quality. The leather is thin and looks to be poor quality. It doesnt look like it would last very long.

Not true to size. Dying of the leather was uneven and splotchy. Construction was shoddy especially at the buckle end of the gunbelt.

Fabulous belt. Measurement process is perfect. I used my shotshell bag to get the proper fit/slant. Pant size is 34 but belt fit measured to 42. My Colt 45 fits perfect. Only improvement will be to upgrade the buckle to a beefy brass unit. Will also need to oil the leg strap and hammer strap so they're more soft and flexible. Outstanding fit, finish, and gun fit!

Works well and has "WOW" Factor! I have owned a few Heritage Rough Rider pistols for a couple of years and always thought that it would be very cool to have a belt and holster set. But not just any belt and holster set. I wanted something that looked like a "High Falootin"; Gunslinger from the Old West would wear. Not a cheap imitation. Not a vinyl belt and holster. Not a plain, black Law Enforcement belt and holster. But something that had a big 'WOW' factor. I stumbled upon Historical Emporium and was amazed at the look of the many holsters, belts, combinations, even the outfits were amazing looking. I chose the double holster for the Heritage .22 pistols. The description does not do justice to the quality craftsmanship of the belt and holsters. When I unboxed it I was, first overwhelmed by the fantastic aroma of leather. Not Pleather, not vinyl. But Real Leather. Thick, strong, decade-lasting Leather. The stitching is perfect. The detail and the coloring is phenomenal. I ordered my size based on the sizing chart and it was Spot-On. Somewhere in the description or details about guns that fit I read that the Heritage Rough Rider may not sit well in the holsters, and that the 7 1/2" Barrel Rough Rider would not work well. It’s amazing how good it feels and smells beautiful

Fit me just like the measurements that I gave you. A bit tight to get into the last hole for the tightest fit. So, having my own leather punch, I just punched one more hole in between the last one and the next one and that did the trick. Fit my Heritage 22 caliber handguns just fine. Looking forward to going out and doing some practice target shooting. Seems well made and a great price for all the effort to make something like this.

It's the rig I've wanted for years, to a T. The tooling pattern is immaculate and the ability to adjust the fit of the actual holsters is an added bonus. The color compliments the color of my pistol grips as well. Another lucky bonus! The 1800's, way out west - a simpler time. The cattle graze, the crops grow, the seasons change. It's truly a simpler time still in the west in the early part of the 1800's. Yes, it is simpler in many ways, however, in the late 1840's the rapidity with which the east is growing has come to the west. In the late 1850's a second wave of citizens head west following another find, although it's not all about gold this time. The landscape has changed forever, the western states are now highly populated by those who have followed the dreams of riches or have found themselves displaced by the war of 1861-1865. In that there are no "brick and mortar" outlets in my rural area that allowed me to "touch and feel" the gun belt and holster I needed for my Ruger Vaquero 38/357 revolver (Bisley grip), I did an extensive web search. Prices varied from about $70 to over $300, but only Historic Emporium offered the variety of products and obvious commitment to the entire culture of our American Western history. Customer comments were detailed and very helpful, along with specific recommendations by Historic Emporium Customer Service. The quality of my belt and holster is superb, and size recommendation from Customer service smack on. The steel casing sandwiched between the double layer holster saddle allowed me to hand form the holster to a perfect fit for my Bisley Vaquero (5.5" barrel) in only minutes, with no water soaking needed. The ammo loops are perfectly sized, firmly gripping the 38/357 rounds. The hammer loop was a bit short for the Bisley hammer format, but easily adjustable. The stainless steel revolver with ivory grips presents a stunning and authoritative appearance in this high quality, plain black leather.

Gun belt and holster are great. Quality is 100% awesome. Sizing is accurate, but I ordered based on where I thought it would sit on my hips - turns out it is too big. I’ll need to shorten it a few inches to make it fit properly, but this is my fault not the manufactuerers or vendors fault. Don’t hesitate to purchase if you need a gun belt the quality is top notch.

The workmanship is very good. The one thing I feel could have been better is the holster hangs down about 2 inches more that it should be. I will have it shortened by 2 inches for a better look as well fit.

I purchased this fast draw holster for my replica .45 Old West Revolver. It is definitely "fast draw"! The pistol can be cocked and drawn from this holster with lightening speed. Cheaper holsters are not designed to allow the cylinder to rotate, when cocked, while in a holster. Love my solid make rig! It took me three times to find the right fitting holster. It was worth having to return/exchange holsters to finally get the right fit! Worth the money.

This is a beautiful gunbelt. Well made, crafted and tooled. Love the leather smell, genuine leather. Be careful measuring your waist size. I'd recommend going with your pants size and adding up to 4 to that size instead of measuring. My pant's size is 38, I got a 42 it's perfect. I highly recommend this gunbelt. It is gorgeous. This a very well made Rig/Holster made of a tough leather which 'Creeks' when worn. It fits perfectly and is very comfortable and was well worth the wait. The rig was OK I suppose but the cartridge loops were way to large for my cartridges and they would just fall out. I took it to the local leather shop and had the loops replaced now much better. I will be using this rig for " B-Western" in local SASS Cowboy Action Shooting competition but haven't used it yet as it is still winter here and practice hasen't even started yet.

Overall the rig is good, I was disappointed in the thickness of the leather. It feels a little cheap compared to my other rig. For the money I think it is an OK deal. I don't know if I would buy another rig here and just wait until I have the money to get a rig with better quality leather. If you are just starting out in Cowboy Action Shooting, this would be a good starter holster.

I received the gunbelt in the time Historical Emporium said it would be delivered and it was everything I expected. It looks great and fits great. It looks like the one that the Lone Ranger wore back in the 60's. I got one 2 inches bigger than my waist, rather than one 4 inches bigger. I have a single right-hand gunbelt that is 4 inches bigger than my waist and I have to take it all the way up. This time, I thought I would try the next smaller size. I have 2 reproduction colt .45s for Cowboy Action Shooting and they fit very well and the bullet loops are perfect. the only thing that I changed was the leg tie down strap on one side was not as long as I would like. I took the tie down off of my other holster and now it's fine.
