I don't dress up or compete in quick draw or 3 gun shooting events. This holster will be used around the cabin and farm for varmint control and hunting. The leather quality, color and style is top notch. I am a customer for life.

I got these thinking they would be a little to big for me I wear a size 32 by 32 pant but even then the belt still fits! Smells great out that package and holds strong!

Nice value, fit very well. Only a slight problem with the hammer loop, wasn't long enough to go over hammer. I would buy another though! Editor's Note: The hammer strap is meant to be adjustable, but sometimes gets stuck when the finish sets into the leather. If you pull on the strap with a little force, it should break free. You can then pull on the loose ends of the strap to tighten it over the hammer.

This is exactly what the price indicates. A decent piece of leather, somewhat thin in the belt. Hardware is just ok. This is a couple steps above straight costume, but to hold an $800 gun, spend the extra to get something more heavy duty.

Just needed some gun leather for a couple of my 1873 colt clones. Holsters and belts fit and look like they should be in the 50's and 60's western movies I watched my cowboy hero's root and shoot them up in. I don my leather gun rig stand in front of the mirror and I'm a kid again. Of course, I skip the broom stick horse part. Seriously though, the holsters look great, do the job and for hundreds of dollars less then custom leather rigs. and i didn't have to wait 8 weeks to 4 months to get them. I got them in less than a week.

i wear a 36 pants, i ordered a 42 inch holster which was perfect. bullets fit well on the 357 loops. All in all im pretty happy with my purchase.

I was pleased with the first order and the quality and craftmanship of the first holster I ordered. But I was surprised as I removed the second holster order from the plastic bag. I bought this for my prized late grandfather's .44 mag Ruger Super Blackhawk with a 7.5 inch barrel. Reading reviews and seeing the price I was skeptical and anticipated having to return it when it arrived. There is a lot online about how the sizing recommendations for the belt listed on the Historical Emporium website was wrong and as waste of money. Well. I ordered this (and two others for a .22 6.5" barrel and and a .357 Super blackhawk 6.5" barrel) and the online order was very easy for me, despite the website looking older then most found today (I struggle to order amazon crap effectively). I ordered the sizing of the belt as directed on the website and after submitting the order, I got an email saying it would arrive in 10 days approximately, and a tracking number (this was on Thursday night at 1900 ish) A big blizzard storm blew in the next day and by Saturday we had a foot of snow. To my amazement, I received an email informing me they would arrive before noon. And they did! They were packed excellently. After opening I was stunned by the quality. I couldn't hardly talk for a min. The revolvers fit like a glove! I put them on one by one and they fit exactly as stated on the website. I was so impressed and shocked I actually called Historical Emporium that minute and left a very long voicemail gushing about how shocked and happy and thankful I was for them. This is the best purchase I've made in 40 years. If you are considering purchasing anything...

First length was way off, Second length was good. If you are going to buy this item then add 4 inches to your pants belt size. If you buy it too big, then it will hang too low and your arm will not reach the pistol.

After returning first holster because it was too big I received second holster and the belt was too tight to go in buckle without a little forcing. Also although being 2" smaller I still had to put belt in next to last notch to keep it up. I have a 36" waist and ordered a 40" belt the second time. I believe belts should fit in center hole to look right. Otherwise it is a beautifully made and sturdy outfit.

I’ll skip the 5 star explanation; after all, one quick scan of this site and you’ll see countless 5 stars. Instead, I’ll focus on the product. I received a size 56 belt, single action army, .38/.357 caliber right hand draw holster combo in black. What can I say, I’m a large guy. I’ve own(ed) and professionally used countless holster/belts (to include wearing out a few) over 30 years. I also worked at a very large big box sporting Goods Company selling many of their rigs for every reason/season imaginable so I'll self-proclaim my expertise here. That said, before I lead with the phrase “for the price”, I need to back up and state, this holster/belt combo is by far more than what I expected. The quality is excellent, having 45 loops evenly stitched, both horizontally and vertically, while securely gripping each round was a pleasant surprise. The scalloped flower pattern is deep and tastefully done, the black dye did not bleed over any part of my clothing, the holster holds all of my SAAs (5.5 BBL) tightly once you’ve press and form the opening per instruction (if needed, this isn’t an absolute), and the fasteners, buckle and overall appearance is very good. I warn those who like to fast draw their SAA a lot, the trigger housing is completely cover (not accessible once holstered) and although the stitching contacting this point is reinforced, forcefully holstering your gun could split it over time. Here is wear a brass fastener (or round rivet) threaded across...

Very heavy duty real leather, six gun belt made in USA. Pay attention to the fitting instructions. They are accurate if followed correctly. Belt is quite stiff and will need to be broken in but excellent price for a belt and holster of this quality.

I recently fell into preparations for Halloween, and this piece of authentic workmanship is just the right amount of good 'ol western construction to help with my ensemble. I appreciate the attention to detail and the fully functional design. I am grateful for the craftsmanship and look forward to years of use. I was grateful to the warning to go large if I couldn't find my size, and discovered that the size up was just the right option. Worked with it some using the instructional documents that came with it to get a good fit for my prop, and I enjoy walking around the house and yard with it.

A very well made holster! Good and sturdy Mexican leather. Can't beat the quality and price! I am a 31 waist and measured my hips at 37" inches. I'm tall and thinnish/athletic, and I decided to go with a 38" inch holster instead of a 36" inch holster. Since I'm going to be wearing it outside of my pants with shirt tucked in, it takes up the "slack" nicely. My .45 sits in " the cradle" very well. The metal holster shank allows for a perfect gun fit. In the end: The holster fits well, so does my pistol. I'm VERY happy!

this holster is 1 1/2" too short for my 8" .44 new model army. the holster is VERY loose and despite the "steel" layer inside, ostensibly used for crushing the holster flatter, it is nevertheless way too wide. looks real chineese. good costume gag but not functional.

The gun belt holster is the real deal. Not a toy. Solidly built. I will be taking this belt out hunting out in the woods and I don't expect any problems. If... I were to make one complaint, I think the manufacturer may have cut the large part of the belt behind the buckling strap a little short. Only the two inside holes for the buckling strap could be used. If I were to let it out to the third hole or farther the larger belt can't reach the loop that holds it in place behind the buckle. Luckily for me the 2nd to the tightest hole was the one that fits me. But if I ever needed to let it out any further the belt won't stay in place. Other than that... A#1 !!!

I bought this for my husband. He loves it!!! Real strong leather smell, I like that but his allergies wont let him be around his holster til it airs out a bit.

Got my rig and loved. Unfortunately a problem developed after minimal use rendering holster unusable. Contacted customer service and sent pictures. They replaced rig free of charge and even let me keep first one. No questions asked. New rig is just as wonderful and is, so far, problem free. Revolver even fits better in this one.

This belt is absolutely beautiful and even smells great. It is perfect for my cap and ball revolver. I only wish I had gotten a slightly bigger size.

This holster is nice. The materials and craftsmanship are better than I would expect at this price. If you are looking for a holster close to custom leather work that will fit your hard caliber revolver, I recommend this one. I've not seen better in this price range and have seen worse that cost more. I don't have hours of wear on the belt, but it appears to be built for purpose and not just some costume or show piece. Keep in mind that their measurements are tight and you will get what you order. You should do your measurements when wearing thick pants with full pockets and not in gym shorts like I did. The gun belt is a little snug worn over my jeans. I should have gone up another size but that is my fault. If anything it proves the listing is true to its word. They warn you several times in the description to be sure of your measurements and they mean it.

Perfect fit for my .45 single action pistol. It's a great fit & looks good too. You can't go wrong for the price.

About 10 years ago i bought my first Gun belt from Historical Emporium and for a left hander finding the kind of Quality in a belt that didn't cost an arm and a leg this was the place for me The belts and holsters are thick quality leather the floral was great the dye is great everything about this belt is great so i bought another not because the other wore out but because i filled out When i ordered this one i ordered the wrong size and had to return it the customer service people were very courteous i sent it back on a Friday the next Saturday i was breaking it in . Other sites are using the advertising pictures for their products don't be fooled this is the place to be great quality at a great price.

I got this left hand draw tooled leather western styled gun belt/holster. I stuffed my smith/Wesson 44 mag Model 629-6 into it and fits like a glove. I walk around in a "open carry state" with a cannon on my hip so I mite as well look good doing it!! This is my way of saying "DONT TREAD ON ME " I have nothing bad to say about this item!! This Gun Belt and Holster is perfect, I have a 32" waist, and my belt size is a 36", so I ordered it in a 36" and the belt fits perfectly, and it's the Gun Belt and Holster that hangs down on my side, it's beautifully hand tooled, since the dye does come of a little bit, I took an old white sock, and wiped it down really good, and now I have no problems with the dye coming off. I love them, nothing but perfection!!!

This is my 3rd holster and 2nd belt / holster form Historical Emporium. The leather quality and workmanship has always been 1st rate. My second belt/holster I thought would be the same color but was not, but it has grown on me because it's a deeper richer color. This Holster was just exactly what I was looking for. It fit my six gun very well. Make sure you measure yourself around the hips where the holster will sit, not just around your waist.

This is a better gun belt than a lot I have seen. The leather is thick and tooled nicely and it fits well, provided you follow the measuring instructions. My 1860 Colt Army Sheriff's model fits really good in the holster. I would recommend applying some leather treatment post haste. My belt was a bit dry and drank a couple of liberal coatings like it was going out of style. Once moisturized and I customized a few little things to fit my use, I am very happy with my new belt. Thumbs up! I do wish the same style belt/holster was offered w/o the cartridge loops though. I would have bought that instead. I just removed the ones on my belt as they are un-needed when shooting black powder.

Just what I was looking for. Great drawing rig with 23 cartridge loops. Tailorable holster is a nice touch for getting the best fit and best drawing action. The ornamental leather work is well executed and overall craftsmanship of the rig is excellent. A very good product and a surprisingly low price for the fine quality.
